  1. Is this still on? If so I'm in... 1 club stand 2 tickets Only be able to make Sunday though, working Saturday.
  2. Possible overheating due to lack of coolant from split hose. Could cause the head to warp, especially if running all day dry... If you do the head gasket it would well be worth getting the head checked out imo. Possible head warp/head gasket.
  3. This is what the crazy text was about earlier!? Ha ha! Like the new direction! Think white is a nice choice! Get some wide arches blended in as well save those nice shiney modified road legal hankooks Plus it look awesome!
  4. Don't forget the double sided sticky tape& paper mashay! Body panels in the shape of Tracey island for the win! Pics sound good! Quite happy to use my car to make yours look even better Any ideas on locations? Bus stop?...
  5. !!!! It wants off the rollers! Ha ha! me likey! I've got an itch... 410 might not be enough NA-T after a spin in the track car How does this one compare? Will have to pop down Thursday now mate, something's popped up at work. So I'll have to impatiently wait till Thursday to see it in action.
  6. Hmm? Indeed! How dare people be dyslexic or make mistakes!!! So then Chris do we have to start a group for this blue Peter style club, thing? Anyways, get some pics of your car up! Speaks for itself how much time& effort you've put in IMO aesthetically its one of the best supra's!
  7. Ouch! Tried compression testing each cylinder? If it is a fubar valve at least it'll show you where to start looking. If not possibly bottom end bearings? Has it been run dry? And on the upside, NA engines don't cost alot
  8. Christ dude you have far too much patients! Looks really good though! However... You have rather long girly nails in 2 of the pics?! Lol! Have you been dressing up? Or does Chelle deserve the credit& you just took pictures??? Seriously though, nice fancy doing some more... In a nice silver ? Will have to pop around in the week have a look?
  9. Aaah! Wondered about the missed phonecall today! Nice results! Looking forward to poping down Wednesday & seeing how it compares to the old track car Bet your happy to have a NA-T daily driver again!? I mean legal daily driver
  10. Yeah heard about that happening Steveo. So when I fitted braided lines& refurb kit last year did mine in silver(close to 199)manifold heat spray... But getting a little orange in places. So could do with something a little more substantial. What would you suggest? Never really been a fan of the max power brush on stuff... Don't trust myself to leave a good finish, my times better spent hitting engine components with a hammer And thanks Noz don't think I could ask that much. But will see how I feel after I lose this gAyBS.
  11. Nice man! Really good job! Like the flexi pipe! Really good idea IMO. Looks really good too.
  12. Just wondering what my UK spec TT front calipers are worth? All working fine, pistons working fine etc. could do with powder coating but all in working order. If I get rid I'd be giving me EBC dimpled& grooved discs with, no lip& well within spec. And what's left on my endless pads, again with plenty of meat left on them. And my ABS. Module, abs-ecu & brake lines if needed? Just wondering what it's worth& if anybody is interested? Thanks in advance
  13. All turbo flutter for me! Lots of debate over BOV's but personally not for me. My mapper rated the T61 good for 550-600 ponnies dude.
  14. Glad I wasn't the only one!
  15. Pre 31 July 1995= no need for cat 2JZ GE= no need for cat as its not in MOT documents. But 2JZ GTE is. So make sure testers know your engine NA owners. Had a look monday.Still need to pass emissions though, but I think it's 3.0% instead of the usual 0.5%...
  16. Rough sort of prices, may help: 1jz/r154 Clutch good for the torque 1jz/r154 flywheel(I use a lightweight) £600-£700 R154-JZ bell housing £200-£300 Front part of the prop shaft from a MKIII supra £ no idea, imagine it wouldn't be that expensive if you tried the boys over at MKIIIsupra.net R154 gearbox £350-£650 And a shifter to make it marry up to the transmission tunnel of the MKIV. There's pics in my wanted thread. The chaser style is the better for position. But the two soarer types should work. I'm getting the old type soarer shifter in the morning.the cost to get all the parts to modify the MKIII R154 was £320
  17. How much tread is on the new Bridgestone & on the other rear? Big differences in tread depth can affect the car just as much as odd pressures in tyres. Or as above.a badly shaped tyre can cause noise, odd handling characteristics& can also lead to blowouts. And the same as a badly balanced tyre, put excessive strain on wheel bearings etc. When it was balanced did it balance up okay? Or did it ask for alot of weights a couple of times? Usually a sign something's wrong. Buckled rim etc. I'd suggest looking at tread depth. Tyre pressures done. Have a look at the tyre and run your hand along the inner wall of the tyre, make sure there's no bulges in the tyre. Have a look at the weights. There should be 2 groups of weights, inner and out lip. If they're randomly dotted around the rim I'd suggest getting it rebalanced. And finally see what a geo check finds. If a wheel bearing is gone or a busher this is something that the person setting up the car for a geometry should pick up on pre-checks. Hope you get the problem sorted.
  18. Yeah, sounds like clutch release bearing. Common thing apparently for competition clutches release bearing. Squeak from the word go. Have a oem thrust bearing for the w58(5 speed) for sale at the moment, less than 100 miles use out of it. Pm me if interested
  19. Nice choice! Those subframes were in brilliant condition! It's worth putting them both on really. But then again it was only the one cross member on the front that was slightly rotted through.& I take it you replaced it? Bah! I need to pop down again dude! Was a good couple of days stripping the track car the other week. Minus the one point at 00:30 and we ran into slight dramas... But yeah like the intercooler piping! Nice and different set up to most NA-T's! Be good to see how it does!
  20. If tyre wall is run on& it's scrubbed out the inside wall. As above can cause lumps/bumps/egg shapes& even blow outs. General give away(looking from the outside) is a smooth line usually in the middle of the wall. Assuming you keep away from kerbs
  21. Throw in a search should be plenty of threads on it. Was one recently with loads of different set ups on it. Have Mr T's settings if you need them
  22. +1 Find a local garage that does a free battery& alternator check. Will confirm things for you. But agree with above.
