  1. Well the top end is much better than the ST and the 0-60 is quicker too, considering the ST's lighter than the Supra. ST; 135mph max. 0-60 ; 7.5 Seconds. Supra sounds better and better each time I ask a question, or look at the pictures of it. Roll on Thursday!!! (When I get it)
  2. Yeah. Well, it's a 3 litre engine, so it will produce a lot more bhp than the fiesta st. 220bhp standard. Right? And yeah, I don't think they would be a slouch, though I'm not sure how fast the n/a's can move off the line, or top speed. Anyone tested??
  3. I can always get a conversion to manual, after playing about with it for a bit. Lol
  4. Fiesta ST. No laughing, it was a first car. Lol. It was a quite respective 2 litre engine, but only produced 150bhp. So, wanted something quicker and always wanted a Supra. I want a twin turbo, but I've settled for a non-turbo. That way I can get used to the car itself, before getting a turbo conversion.
  5. Cool, cool.. Not far from me then. So, if I ever need help with the supra, I know where to come. Lol. I've not even drove it yet and want to increase the power. Lol. I'll wait a while before doing that though.
  6. Thanks mate. Yeah, looks good. I wasn't the biggest fan of the veil-side either, but the more I saw it.. The more I liked it.
  7. What do you think of this, for a first time Supra. (Non turbo) but I'm happy with that. (As explained previously) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=180354407202#ebayphotohosting
  8. Bolton. You?? And yeah, I agree with the comment about a Supra being like a "fine woman". Once it's done, it's perfect. I'll take my time with the car, get everything sorted bit by bit. Don't wanna rush it, in-case things go wrong. Thanks for all the advice, people. Helps a lot.
  9. Everyone had to start somewhere, right? I'm not a mechanic or a whiz kid when it comes to cars, but am really interested in learning about supra's.
  10. Cheers mate, kinda thought it was something along those lines before I saw it on google, but thanks for your help anyway.
  11. Thanks mate. Not a whiz when it comes to Supra's. I'm starting out, but getting a n/a on Thursday. Choosing the n/a route right now 'cause it's cheaper to buy and slightly cheaper on insurance. Might go for a turbo conversion when the time and funds allows.
  12. Not sure if there's a difference with the different models. But a n/a supra. What exactly is it? RWD? FWD? AWD?
  13. 4youngdrivers.com That's a good site to check out insurance. I did it and found it was the cheapest I could find on the net.
  14. Thanks for the quick responses. I'll check them out now.
  15. Is there any specific companies that deal with young drivers under the age of 25? I'm 22 and don't have a no-claims bonus. So, the insurance will be high for me. I'm not too bothered about the insurance though, I will be able to afford it. Just wondering if there is any other companies, apart from using the likes of comparethemarket and other insurance company search engines. Thanks.
  16. Hey. Just looking for a little advice, if possible. I've never had a Supra before, but always wanted one from the moment I was thrashed by one. I was out in my Fiesta ST a few years ago. 2.0 (Non turbo) (150bhp). It was my first real car and was quite proud of it. A mini cooper S was attempting to keep up with me, even though it had more power, either the car's top end was slower, or the guy driving it wasn't prepared to go any faster than 125 while I was hitting my top speed of 135mph. I heard a ripping noise. Thinking it was the Cooper S or something wrong with my car, I let go of the accelerator and before I knew it, a Supra flew past me at an incredible speed. I don't want to guess what speed it was travelling, but it was easily 155+. From that moment on, I've been looking for Supra's and believe I have found the perfect one for me. It's a non-turbo (Cheaper for insurance purposes). comes with Full Veilside bodykit, 18 inch Kochi alloys, dvd / cd pop out screen, full tinted windows (Minus the front wind-screen obviously) and it's lately had the head and clutch done. Is there anything I should specifically look for, before handing over the cash for the car? I'm not a mechanical whiz-kid or anything like that.. I'm trying to get my brother to come down with me to view the car (He's a mechanic) but he won't be in the country. I want to wait til he gets back, but I'm worried the car could be sold by then. A little help would be very appreciative. Thank you. Chris.
