    Hi all, I've been waiting on the upgrade before starting a project thread as I was expecting to post a pic heavy thread. I have a NA-5 speed that was purchased from a fellow Mod a number of years ago. The car came to me as a NA-TT 5-speed but as well all know the W58 was always going to be the weak link in any future plans. I am a big fan of the NA in manuals form, as you can use all the power without worrying about pushing it too far. I also think the W58 is a much nice gearbox with regards to the smooth shifts. so the decision was made to remove the TT lump and reintroduce a NA lump back into the car, I also preferred returning it back to the vin specification, although a LSD which was not spec’d from factory was also required. Now less of the justification, and onward to the project name. This picture should give you a clue:

The RZ-S manual came with the LSD from factor, many RZ-S Tiptronics however came with open A02A differentials from factory, again buyers were able to spec the A02B diff on the auto derivatives. 4 pot calipers were not standard on the RZ-S but many came with optioned 4 pot calipers. Again the Manual RZ-S came with a A03B.
  10. I’m fairly certain the option may have been presented to the original purchaser, to spec a LSD. But I believe the SZ-R’s came with these from the factory.
  11. SZ-R can also be 5-speed W-58 NA with A01B LSD usually pre-facelift. SZ-R Facelift 6-speed’s come with V161 paired to A02B diff. RZ in Pre-facelift form was TT either Manual or Auto. RZ in Facelift form came with Recaro Confetti’s, Active Spoiler, Carbon 3 spoke wheel and Reas suspension. V161 paired to the A03B diff. GZ was the highest spec level in pre-facelift I believe, with RZ being the highest spec in Facelift form. GZ’s were Auto’s either Hardtop or Aero.

    Hi and Welcome! Sounds like an exciting project, looking forward to the pictures. With regards to the Hel line, I recently fitted these to my supra, and they work just fine.
