  1. I was keeping the lights to use on Project Pesto, and hadn’t noticed the micro cracking earlier. I’d be interested if you were able to locate and carry out the work, do you know if clear lenses are available also?

Yeah I’ll be looking to use this as my new daily driver and will be keeping it for the long term hopefully. I’m a bit of a Toyota Fanboy ,so was super excited about this project when the details were released. I think I’m going to get the underside sealed in a clear under seal. My friend had this done and it looks great. I’ll also be getting PPF done when it arrives as I don’t much fancy paint matching the Pearl paint.

It’s actually a welcomed delay as the Wife is pushing for a bigger house which should mean I’ll have a barn or outbuilding to keep my cars under cover. Ive already started ordering parts, simple bits at the moment like a riser for the rear view mirror to lift it up 25mm, due to the visibility people have mentioned in the reviews. Once lockdown is over my friend is going to lend me his Yaris GR so that I can look into making up some better arch liners, as I believe the stock ones don’t cover a fair section of the arch. Super excited though
  4. Noz, do you happen to know if there are any replacement lenses for the facelift lights, I have a spare set in the loft but the lenses have those micro cracks in them, you can notice them better if standing side on to the light at close quarters. Seems a shame to waste them as the insides are pristine.
  5. I think a good chunk of those numbers reside in Aus also. I know one of the solar yellow ones belongs to All Street/Abdullah over there.
  6. I’m pretty sure Hammer on here owns a facelift Aero TT in DJG.
  7. Fantastic work on that rear quarter and having it fixed correctly . Absolutely love the carbon parts

Well Faye your thread must have resonated with me on a deeper level as I’ve also placed an order for this little pocket rocket. Lead times have increased massively so it’s arriving in the first few months of the new year. I went with platinum white and the circuit pack.
  9. Looks great Brad, essential life extension works there
  10. Uzzy with having an in between year facelift car, I wonder if you need the type A or Type B TRD wheel. Different plugs.
  11. Agreed it certainly could be the case, I guess both with both the bumper and the bonnet being aftermarket, it could be either.
  12. I’d check how tightly the bonnet pins pull the bonnet, as they may have been fitted slights off, thus pushing your bonnet position up, assuming the latches have been removed. All the best, looking forward to the updates.
  13. Noticed this car was up for auction shortly, remember seeing it on the TG episode: https://www.silverstoneauctions.com/index.php?option=com_bidding&view=commission&layout=details&id=13605&pn=1&el=13605&pp=50 I can’t remember the member who owned this, but am I right in thinking he sold it shortly after the TG appearance? Should be interesting to watch the price this one brings in.

Hi Matt, I bought these from a company that trades on EBay, I’ll look out the receipt but the brand of clips are Mikalor. I’m just going to replace the garden hose with the OEM original hose I think matey. Thank you for the very generous offer, but I have already order the new replacement

This was the blue pipe I was referring to: Blue hose cut and later removed: I also ordered some new arch liner bolts to replace the old ones: As I am replacing the hoses in the bay, I bought an assortment of spring clips, these are already plated.

Thanks mate, I know they won’t be to everyone’s taste but with the paint being so fresh it was rude not to . Thanks very much Noz, I’m just in the process of removing the intake so that I can swap out the cam cover gaskets and send the covers off to be finished in 040, as they are looking tatty. I’ve actually made a move on the above, as the hose that runs from under the throttle body to the water system was definitely not up to the task, and the chap I bought the engine from must have decided that tightening it to the point it would not turn anymore was correct. You can see the hose I’m talking about in this shot. Removing the Inlet:

Sorry I’ve been rubbish lately with updates, this most recent lockdown has me home-schooling the kids during my spare time but things have also been on hold as I am awaiting a parts order to arrive. I decided to have all the hardware sent off to be zinc plated (nuts bolts etc) and as I will need a set for my black shell, I order all new replacement hardware from TCB also. I have also ordered new facelift indicators to compliment the bumper, along with the looms. The wheels sit in the arches a bit more than I was hoping so I’ve added 20mm hubcentric spacers to the rear and 10mm on the front, so the wheels should sit closer to flush. ML Motorsports have been closed due to the lock down and I have a few jobs for them to finish before I can finish the drive train and get her driving under her own power. I managed to source the original air box and bought a new battery, and whilst browsing the forums a new set of Whifbitz rad hoses came up in black, so I took those also. You’ll notice there are a few components hanging loose, those are awaiting the new parts I’ve ordered. I’ll also be removing the Teins from the front as the top threads just won’t do, and will be sent from aqua blasting. new strut top bolts installed.
  18. Assad I’m sure we would all like to know why you posed as the buyer, when in actual fact this was a car you were selling? This goes against the spirit of the club and is just dishonest, and from all accounts it looks as though the buyer is not happy with their purchase, which was not as described. I’ll give you a chance to reply so we can hear your side of the story.

    Diff price

The going rate seems to be around the £1600 -£2,000k mark, although some B03B’s have been advertised at around the £3k mark.
  20. I’m not seeing anything in the ad to warrant the £26k price tag. No mention of VSS being replaced? Or any replacement suspension components etc. I guess you will be pulling the engine to do your engine upgrades.

The Supra had a little friend for company whilst having the engine put in. Not everyone’s cuppa, but I thought this was cool.
