  1. Hello and welcome to the Club. I moved your thread to the Supra Chat section as you’ll likely get a better response here than in the technical section . With regards to your car, are you sure it’s a 97 as I though the UK spec production ended in 96. Also with regards to the changing to 18’s, I’d suggest you keep your stock 17’s to the side as these are starting to fetch anything from £600-£1000 in good condition. The UK spec wheels also have a little extra bracing located on the centres, and if you do ever sell in the future then it might be best having the stock wheels. Another point to consider if you go for 18’s is checking for clearance of the 4pot larger calipers, although it’s usually down to the wheel design you choose.
  2. Sure no problem, that’s it resent now.
  3. Hi Terry, Email confirming the membership number and your membership status has been sent. welcome to the club .
  4. Sorry to be reading of your troubles Jonny, would you happen to have pics of the parts you need, and I’ll take a look for you .
  5. Soooo anyone able to beat some of the mileage numbers in this thread?
  6. Hi Rajah, ive just purchased the complete subframe bolt set-up from TCB Performance a trader on this forum. I would drop Paul Pridham a line, or I’m fairly certain Keron @extremeperformance another forum trader, would be able to help you also.
  7. I left my new suspension components in the garden shed for a few days over the winter, the stickers came off easy with the lower temps .
  8. Got to love a good parts delivery , really enjoying this thread Matt

Cam covers off: I was really pleased with how clean it was with the covers off. With the Cams exposed I had to wrap up the head in film to stop anything dropping in. As you can all see, the cam covers were not painted all that convincingly and I suspect that these were painted whilst installed. The Cam covers will now be sent to We Restore Alloys up here in Scotland to be prepped and painted in the new colour. I’ll wait till they are back to reveal the colour.

Hey thanks for the interest, there’s not been a whole lot to report on since LD2 kicked in as Home Schooling took over. I have ordered a good amount of parts from TCB and am just awaiting there arrival before I can move forward. Cam covers are off to be stripped and coated as that current finish is anything but easy in the eye. I removed the dash and unscrewed all the controls before I sent it off to be refinished in a facelift inspired finish.

  18. CW is still stood with his neat knot, in hand .
  19. Mark was this the car that was restored (bodywork) as A1?
  20. The higher the better, still plenty of headroom for prices to increase. I’ve been contacted directly from a well know dealer in Japan about exporting my red car back across the pond, which I’d be more inclined to consider than shipping to the US. Just my personal preference. Although the offers inline with what I believe the prices will be at in 2 years from now, I’ve respectively declined.
  21. I can’t stand it when people say “send it” in that context, and to make things worse I’m usually in the middle of town in traffic at the time
  22. Thanks very much Noz, really appreciate it
