Hi and welcome to the club, congrats. HJA seem to get some very good examples so I’m sure your car will be super nice .

Thank you all for the comments, sorry it’s been a little quiet on the updates front, I’ve been renovating a house and now it’s done I’ll get time to spend on completing this project. I have went a little silly and sent the LSD/drivetrain related hardware off for some refreshing, and replaying in some cases. I also need to collect the cam covers as they’ve been refinished. I also have a spare set of Facelift lights to fit , they are off my RSP so at least I knew what to expect with the condition, and replaced them with new lights for my RSP. I actually have to check on the progress if the door cards, and the headliner which were sent away with the dash panels to be refreshed. Pics to follow once I’ve collected these parts from the various companies I’ve scattered them to . This little hooligan also arrived, and has consumed a fair amount of my spare time

It officially arrived on Friday at the dealership, but I’ve asked them to hold it till the end of the month for it to be registered as a 22 plate. Getting very excited now, and on collection it’s going straight to the PPF company to be protected as I don’t fancy colour matching the paint anytime soon .

Interesting how quiet the market goes when there’s a correction, you’d think by now we’d be use to seeing large corrections/pull backs. That said there’s a lot of new money in the market place, is noticed by the potential gains. I’m going to make another swoop once I see it recovering a little, not convinced we’ve seen the bottom yet personally.

It all depends on the contract types, I use KU Coin, Pancake Swap (you will need either a MetaMask wallet, Trust Wallet), started using Gate.io also, as not all coins are available from one provider. I’m using the Avalanche network a fair bit and Trader Joe is the trading platform. Coin Market Cap is handy, as you can find the Binance, Eth, Avalanche addresses for the coins you want, and for those that like researching the white paper and road maps, backers etc, it’s a handy tool.

I also made a very healthy gain from Shib recently, and although risky I’ve been getting great results with the sh*tcoins, managing to get in and out of Catgirl (not what it sounds like ) with a health pot. I’ve come completely out of my s-coins and invested in a number of projects I believe in like Quant, Pokadot, and am Staking Eth for the 2.0 upgrade. I’ve also had really healthy gains on Pancake swap (cake) staking, and helium. but the S-Coins have seen the largest movement but we’re super sketchy.

I personally would push for the £35k >£38k mark, as finding a decent low miles GZ is not an easy task.

Bit random I’ll concede, but I usually go onto one of the popular car raffle sites and when I see a car I really like, i don’t buy a ticket. Instead I use the money I was going to potentially waste and buy some Crypto with it. Bit bullish really

Had a little time on my hands whilst waiting for a spot to open back up at the bodyshop so went ahead and started swapping out the old hardware for some new bits I recent received. The car needs to go back to have some bits finished off which will include a full correction and ceramic coating applied. I also had a spare MVP poly lip gather dust that was going to make an appearance, although the jury’s out on that for now as I’ve spotted a different lip that I like. Old vs New: The old bolts were corroded on the heads but the threads were all clean and moving well, you can see the rust particles/dust that old bolt left behind whilst extraction was in progress. I also replaced the anti-roll bar bolts and below you can see both sets of bolts, old vs new. Upon removing the upper door seals, a few of the plastic screw holders were looking worse for wear, so I replaced these with new ones and new screws as the previous ones were looking tired also.

Quick update, I was waiting for parts to arrive that I purchased from TCB, and to say the pandemic caused a few problems would be an understatement. Today though I received a box of OEM goodies which will help me near the finish line. love a parts delivery! - Basically new hardware for the underside, diff/subframe bolts, - Interior screws and fixings, replacement door membrane’s as the ones on the car were ripped. - Facelift indicators and looms. - Ignitor and Airbox bolts, and the throttle body pipe replacement. - Bonnet catch (both sides)

Looks as though this little engine is going to be quite a popular unit for engine swaps, found this article recently and can only imagine how much fun that cars going to be. http://www.speedhunters.com/2021/04/an-ae86-levin-with-gr-yaris-power/?fbclid=IwAR2R5YJkKcOx_YxsPJKNmME1O1DY_mcacMRuHhY7fiFaWVk-HcjaC-FrKms

Hey all, I managed to stumble across this article the other day, and was intrigued to see that a patent for a Lexus V8TT was being created by Toyota. I know it’s just paper talk just now, but if it comes to fruition, It could be the teeth the Lexus lineup have been missing. Enjoy: https://www.motor1.com/news/506055/toyota-twin-turbo-v8-patent/amp/

If your NA was a SZ-R 5 speed then it would have come with a LSD (A01B) as standard but as mentioned it was an option that could be spec’d.

Hi all, I recently read a member purchased the electric seat gear for the forward and back mechanism on the stock seats and thought the link might be handy to share: http://www.gamiviti.com/seatparts?fbclid=IwAR3Hj9IUx8JS4VAc4wT0IEc0Qn4eCVHRvWD6Mj0W9cZERu0Iz1PEwtYc6Mw Hope it helps.

i can’t lie, I’m in it for the power and status.

Would you react like the driver or the guard that looked like he was in major shock.

This is a valid point, in recent times I’ve seen a NA-T sell for £35k, and here in Scotland a Black TT6 just sold for £43,600, I know this as I was the person the buyer asked to look it over. Just a couple of examples I’ve seen recently. I’ve been asked to look over a White TT6 up here in Scotland for a Porsche Dealer who took it as part ex also, so can share what that sold for, if the buyer follows through with the purchase. Will check on the consensus but I’d love to engage with the club insurers to see if we can get a sit down around forum valuation services for members as I believe it’s an essential part of the club proposition going forward.

I have to admit, I was left underwhelmed by the R34 experience and that was a V-spec II. the interior felt super cheap also. I still think they are cool and can appreciate them, but I prefer the Supra. I’m sure there will be many lurkers who sold up that are shocked by the spike, I’m not surprised in the slightest and believe we are no where near the peak yet.

That looks excellent Peter -
Where’s the ceiling at currently guys?

Proper wheels. would love a set in 18”, although these 17’s would probably make the car ride better.

Hey Dan, that's you good to go

It’s fairly difficult to find a good clean shell for £5k these days.
