There can be issues with clear coating aluminium parts that is common to any clear coat paint, it degrades with time quickened if its in a harsh environment and can craze, crack, cloud, yellow and chip. You can anodise aluminium to give it a ceramic look or apply a silicone spray sealant that would need a regular interval wipe down and reapplication if the clean look is important to you.

I do doubt that Toyota would leave an engine bay unpainted and especially unlikely on one specific colour only.
-
the engine bay is the same paint as the car just not lacquer top coated.

Toyota dealership say those parts are discontinued and no longer available through the Toyota parts network. -
You wouldn't want to touch anything PayPal. The only way is to have a BACS transfer into your account and then check with the bank that the funds are cleared and secure before releasing the goods. I do a lot of big ticket purchases from the USA and use Forex services so anyone buying, if they have any sense, would do the same as the exchange rates are better than main bank or PayPal rates and fees much lower. That isn't your concern though, the onus is on the buyer.

Does the part actually have a denso or toyota part number stamped on it? -
I have bough in a quantity of USA derived R134a 12oz (344g) service cans as I have a good number of R134a aircon cars that I service. The R134a production is being scaled back and consequently its been doubling in price every year which is why I've grabbed some cartons. I also have delivery hoses with the can tap, snap on coupling and pressure gauge. The cans are self sealers. The supra R134a charge is 600g R134a and a system, without leaks, will usually require top off every 4 to 6 years as the refrigerant does escape through the flexible hose over time due to their porosity. DIY cans are OK for the public to use and buy, over 1kg sized cylinders and you need a FGas certificate. Once they are gone, they are gone. http://www.driverline.co.uk/

The one on my car is in 26 year old condition, similar to the one in the photo with the car. The new one I bought is ready for if I ever get around to having the car resprayed as it has never has one of those. I've bought a whole load of parts for that task like all new weather strips and various trim. So, maybe one day, maybe not. I paid £120 for my rear bar, back in the day. I expect there has been a bit of Supra inflation since then.

I don't know if these are still available. I bought one from an eBay listing from Toyota Burrows a few years back that is still bubble wrapped in my garage.

You have to ask, who would want these? Then think on why you don't want them any longer. You should be able from that to work out who would want them and what they are likely to pay. I'd venture no one in their right mind would prefer a 1990's tape deck over a 2020's MP3 player. So, you are down to someone who is slavishly putting their museum piece together. That is probably a collector who has just bought a 10,000 mile (genuine) time piece for $250,000 and is looking for a few pieces to restore it fully to stock, one being a UK tape deck. But they have a US car, so it won't work. Bummer, so I personally think £1k is a bit wild.

I had several emails to and fro with an Aussie guy that I tracked down off the Aussie forum but it petered out, due to his being a busy body I guess. These are some of the conversations, I had asked for a UK ship price and quantity discounts and never received a reply. His units were claimed to be Supra plug and play. His email address is [email protected] if anyone want to pick up from where I got to with him. -

If there is no button on the side then I hope you got the key fobs as well and the sealed ones factory ship with two fobs and are not programmable. -
The net zero crowd have lots of initiatives underway in towns and cities around the globe. Nothing has ever been voted through on a wave of popular support but instead it is being put in place for our own good. For towns there is the 15 minute cities being piloted around the World, in England the test centres are Oxford and Canterbury. Oxford has been segmented into 6 precincts and people will only be able to drive between precincts 100 times a year per household. If it a 2 car household that is 50 permits to travel per year each. More car owners then the fewer permits for each car owner. You can still cross precinct boundaries but you'll be fined £70 for each time that occurs. It'll make that Hospital or KFC run pretty expensive. You can walk between precincts freely or use public transport. For cities there are the C40 cities. London is the UK pilot. Goal is to reduce car ownership to zero by 2030. Yes, that is correct, the target is zero private car ownership in London by 2030. The goal is worst case at 65% reduction in car ownership. There has been some MSM coverage on the concepts. The BBC did a very supportive what it'll mean for you and environment 20 minute film. All great, necessary to the save the planet The Oxford trial has hit some resistance. The council has announced that the trial will be going ahead whether residents like it or not. There has been some civil disobedience with over £80k of resident activity towards barriers being installed. This has not been covered at all in the MSM. It's all very conspiracy type but it is actually happening. Anyone can get up to speed by reading the WEF and UN websites and searching for 15 minute and C40 cities. The interesting thing is its a global phenomena, how did the likes of Oxford get involved in a UN project without anyone being voted in on adopting the policy? It is very well coordinated without the need for the residents, citizens or voters to ever get involved.

Black UK Spec TT completely unmodified with only 66k

I'm old enough to recall the sub £10k TT manual days, I bottomed out my own cars insurance value lower than that. It has to be hard for anyone who paid those sub £10k prices to get their heads around spending £20k plus on the underside of a car. After all you could get a really good paint job and a valet for that price and everyone would then be saying she's a minter. -
I bought a NOS front gold badge for $120 from a US seller a while back but quite a bit after they were discontinued so the pricing could be a little steep if the badges aren't in really good condition. The metal OE badges (rather than your knock off plastic ones that came later) do have the substantial mounting prongs (two front and three rear) and tend to fade towards a chrome/silver look with time so the important thing would be have they faded together nicely and still with prongs intact.

Undersides always make me appreciate my own hard work and big money new OE parts spend on the underside in 2017. Sadly, that's not even possible these days with so many parts sold out. Many were hard to track down in 2017. Everyone knows that refurbishment is a poor investment as every £10 spent probably adds £2 to the value. If I factored my labour in it'd probably be 10:1. The only upside is that I enjoy looking at my cars underside as I wipe it down with lint free cloths, and the MOT tester loves it to. So, a possibly/probably crusty under the wax UK Supra likely isn't going to be knocked hard at auction. If someone wants it to join a collection then it'll get sorted irrespective of the cost. It just needs the right two bidders on the day. -

This is more correct if you are buying a 2019 Ford Focus than a classic car, particularly an iconic classic car. It is the auction price in the World of desirable Classics that drives the market price. When a new auction sales record is set on a rising trend then the marketplace moves up. US auction prices for low mile Supras are now more than once over $200,000. I doubt a private buyer on your driveway would voluntarily stump up a better price. There are so many benefits of selling a high value car at auction. To list but a few you get the cash without any worries or concerns, you reach a wider and Global audience on a web site, you don't need to worry about misrepresentation as the auction house does the representation, you are covered by insurance, no test pilots. I could go on. -

The decision to go to auction is a wise one as auctions are where best and new record prices are set. It may not be the best timing, winter facing economic uncertainties but even so the estimate looks to be on the conservative side. For us dad types, and now a grandad type, there will come a time when the Supra presents comfort and ease of access challenges. I'm fortunate that my daughter has volunteered to take my own Supra burden off me when I'm ready as a tax free gift. It is after all only worth £460 according to certain car buying site. If you are lucky, the car won't meet the reserve and your dad will just say here you are son. -
There is apparently a lot of pumping going on in tech equities so that rich people can get a whole lot richer on very short term investments. The boom is reported to likely turn into an as fast bust as these really rich people take their I've just got a whole lot richer profits leaving the smucks (the poor people) that ride the top of the waves picking up the tab.

The ESR meter has arrived from China, no excuses now. I just need to work out how to use it.

Recorded mileage on any near 30 year old car is nothing more than a random set of numbers unless its backed, comprehensively, by every MOT certificate since three years old and a service history. In Supra World that is a very rare combination.
