  1. Its on an eBay auction that'll end before this weekend so that could be past the sell by date. The previous MOT history does mention rusty sills so it'd obviously need a good roll around underneath to see what's going on which wouldn't be my preferred activity in a few inches of snow. Its been in the UK for a good while so a little rust underneath is something to be expected. The front ride height looks a little high on it to for some reason, either that or the tyres are too small but it does look to me to be riding a little high on the front springs.
  2. I think that's the best Supra colour and in nice unmolested condition inside as well as outside. Germany is probably the best country to drive a Supra to its potential on the road or track, I always enjoyed taking my Supra over there to bully the local M3 drivers.
  3. Local TT auto running on eBay could be worth a look at?
  4. Midlands TT Auto running on eBay at the moment that could be worth a look. Has a detailed write up (though a little to emotionally involved for my taste) from a long term owner. Only thing I'd question is the front looks to be riding about an inch high so may not be the original setup or may have too low profile tyres fitted? It looks to me to be sitting a little high on the front springs though.
  5. Advertised here at £23k and elsewhere at £22k? Sellers do often seem to go fishing higher here first for some reason.
  6. I went out in my series II land rover last night, it was fantastic in the snow, ploughing over drifts with ease and not even twitching on untreated lanes on its tour around a variety of pubs. Last time I tried to get back from a local pub in my Supra after an unexpected snowfall I ended up being towed home tethered to a neighbours tractor when I couldn't get up even the slightest incline, luckily for me he was out ploughing the roads. Horses for courses, I'd take the land rover over a horse any day.
  7. Strange the OP hasn't responded to your what I'd class as a generous offer, maybe its a bumpable but non pressing enquiry.
  8. The going rate is £60 a pair, so in an ideal World that'd be £30 for an offside cluster. Seeing the going rate no longer applies then expect to pay £75 for a pair or £50 for the offside only. As you will have noticed most eBay listings are now well North of £100 a pair but the sellers do have to contend with enormous commission charges imposed by eBay. So, if you can persuade someone to part with a offside lens cluster in tip top condition for £50 I'd recommend you go for it.
  9. Have you looked at Aristo prop shafts they get listed on eBay for around £100 whereas Supra ones tend to be around £400. There is an Aristo one up at the moment.
  10. You do need to identify them as the hardtop and aero top windows are different shapes and the later facelift ones have a different tint. If you bought the ones off here that were for sale in the Summer for £150 they were sold as being aero top glass. As for the pricing then new these are getting really expensive, around £400 a side. Everything Supra is getting silly with headlights now nearing £1,000 a pair. Control arms £400 a pop. I've just ordered a set of climate control buttons for £75. Welcome to Supra World.
  11. Do you know which specific model these are from? May93-May95 Hardtop RH 62710-14260 LH 62720-14260 May93-May95 Aerotop RH 62710-14270 LH 62710-14270 May95-July96 Hardtop RH 62710-14261 LH 62720-14261 May95-July96 Aerotop RH 62710-14271 LH 62720-14271 July96 onwards Hardtop RH 62710-14280 LH 62720-14280 July96 onwards Aerotop RH 62710-14290 LH 62720-14290
  12. Shame you are selling up. Your tinkering thread was one of the most enjoyable journeys from last year. I suppose any journey has a natural ending and a new beginning. Hope you manage a quick sale.
  13. Its a pair of cars popular with most Supra owners. Always good to see some longer terms owners crawl out the woodwork, had mine since 1998. You've come to the right place if you want help pointing out any solutions to the little issues with the extra kit on the UK variant.

Another possibility is it being private plated 12 years ago. Slim possibility but one that a HPI check would bring up.
  15. email Toyota at [email protected] and they should be able to send you a conformity certificate to present to the registration authority (DVLA in the UK)
  16. You don't see these come up very often and this one is in a well used but not entirely battered shape and at a very reasonable price. For anyone thinking of holding a OE wheel as spare its worth a look, I gave it a second glance but its not good enough for what I'd look to hold as a spare part.
  17. Its reported that its all just a bubble but the Global black economy alone could invest anonymous crypto currencies to 4 times their current trading values. The skill in investment is always riding the bubble to the point just before it pops. At minimum proposed regulation changes will make any gains eligible for UK taxation which they already are but tax is presently avoided by traders under the anonymity presently offered in trades.
  18. Its going to be difficult for them to track down where your lockup is unless the thief knows you so I personally wouldn't go to the expense of changing all locks on the car and just change the lock on the lockup. If its a real concern you could always add a steering clamp to the car? If you are set on changing locks over Keron should be a good starting point for a breaker set with a set of associated keys at a fraction of the price of new.
  19. I did my BBS wheels in shadow chrome and like the darker silver on an 040 car. Its more expensive being a two stage paint process but I felt the normal silver was tad too light against the white.

  21. Forget the car why not a day out with son? I think that'd mean a lot more to him than some serviceable car parts.
  22. Thanks - sent them an email. I'll be interested in what they have to say on whether ceramic turbos are salvageable or throw away items.
  23. There are rebuild kits that include new steel turbines and shafts. The shaft play does not appear to have damaged the turbines so it could just be new bearings, seals and rebalance to get them together as a ready to fit pair. Thanks for the recommendation, I'd prefer someone closer though to go visit and have a chat about the refurb options and economics seeing you can still buy these turbos new.
  24. Sensible as I found out from my own spanking brand new guard sent by Toyota Oxford that turned up bashed, scraped and generally battered. Took 1/2 a day of restorative work and 3 cans of paint and primer to sort it out. Buyer collect or buyer own arranged courier avoids any damage issues from occurring or being put back onto you.
