  1. I've also used USA suppliers and these guys have always come through, or Rock Auto. They do both ship US Mail though which does incur Royal Mail handling charges and delays this side (similar to Amayama orders) so never used for cheap or bulky parts. With the USA Toyota dealers, you can only go with generic model parts though as they cannot handle left hand drive specific parts. On the UK guys, I find Steve is less interested in small value orders than Paul so now push most orders through TCB even if they aren't the cheapest. Another UK option is Burrows Toyota who will give 10% discount (similar to Inchcape Toyota) if you ask. Burrows have an eBay shop which often comes up with useful parts at discounted prices, I just bought a new crash bar from them via eBay for £169 delivered. No one else could match that price which is surprising when you think of the eBay commission on the sale.
  2. Never used them but they say they repair climate control units so may be worth a call and a trawl for online reviews.
  3. I seem to recall the Supra wheels are over £1k from Mr T. There is silly and silly.
  4. Have you measured to make sure the cable length is the same on both sides? There was a difference in the sensor on my hubs to those fitted in the facelift hubs that came on the loaded frame I used for the frame swap. The sensor on my car were flat with two silver metal strips visible. The ones on the swap frame had a raised button at the tip and no sign of any parallel silver metal strips. Is the ABS sensor ring the same pre 97 to post 97? I never bothered checking as I retained the original hubs with the original ABS sensors but i'd be interested to have it confirmed that I can remove and hold the post 97 facelift sensors as spares for my pre-97 car.
  5. Have you looked into getting your original unit repaired? There are a few companies, in the UK anyway, that specialise in auto electronic component diagnostics and repair. The part is discontinued (55900-14540) so outside of a breaker people are probably going to be reluctant to part with their prized spare except at a 'good' price. There used to be a few for sale on eBay at up to half the new price until the last 12 months, now there are none. I think we all need to face up to the harsh reality that owning a Supra will become increasingly a fix or make do.
  6. As said they are so cheap so buy a new setup
  7. I don't recall my mkIII being anything like my mkiv in the cabin.
  8. Best seek out a breaker and buy a hub with the ABS sensor fitted. There are some members holding spares but they are holding spares for their own cars so that'd likely need a strong money incentive to make them part their ways.

    Cars that tempt

I was thinking along the lines of cars that were really expensive once but that have become so affordable, a bit like Supras were 10 years ago. Here is another that I think I shouldn't look at for too long, even though I'm not a BMW fan.

    Diff oil???

I went off that recommendation and put 2l of the Fuchs Titan Race Syn5 in my dif in October. The cars done about 20 miles since then and all is well.
  11. No insurance would be settled that quickly so If it has been offered for sale by the owner that would mean the owner either didn't have comprehensive insurance or any insurance, either would be a bit dumb.
  12. I have several CTEK chargers as the cars and machinery are used so little, keep the battery constantly topped up.

    Toyota badge

Glad this thread popped up again since I never reported back, The early Soarer badge I received from the USA is identical to the Supra badge in every way except it is about 15% larger. There is a set of gold badges for sale in the USA at the moment, US$900. Seller must think they are solid gold.
  14. It'll be a miracle if the passenger survives that degree of solid tree encroachment into the cockpit.
  15. When I see cars like this for the price I really do get tempted. It's just fortunate that I spent all my extra car money, that was originally earmarked to buy a second TT6, on Supra parts and a daily driver upgrade recently. Even so, still tempted.
  16. There is one on eBay at the moment, £250 or offer. I recon that's a keen price and if you could get it for £200 that'd be a top bargain especially as it includes shipping.
  17. This is all organised and my old struts will be heading off next week to SGS to recycle the mounts onto new struts. So, if anyone wants to get a set ready to then swap with their own, Novak should be the man to ask for his old set.
  18. I just bought a rear bar from Toyota for £169 delivered so they aren't that expensive new. Good luck with the boot lid, that could take a while.
  19. To fit the HB4's to the jspec headlights you need to cut off one of the three locating lugs. Its obvious which one is out of alignment when you compare to the bulb that came out or try to house the HID bulb. I found they needed to be canbus to work. Other than that I've been running 6k whites for three years now with no issues running or MOT alignment/pattern wise.
  20. I bought one from a Toyota dealership in the USA 18 months ago DDP for £120. Supra parts prices have gone stratospheric.
  21. Just google High Wycombe and Subaru or Supra and you'll get a few hits. Lots of threads, the Scooby forum makes for best reading.
  22. Hopefully you aren't heading to see a particular 2 centres dealers car around High Wycombe/Berkshire?
  23. Welcome, if you have any questions then this is probably the best forum to ask them in the technical or chat sections. Hopefully the car came to you with history on the maintenance and mods so you know what has been done to it over the years.
  24. If you can place an order on SGS then PM me the order number and your details then I can ship my struts straight there for you. I'll just need reimbursed shipping costs to SGS. Then, when you are done, you can gift your struts to the next poor sod who has their head bumped with the tailgate.
