  1. Looking lovely, full credit to a top restoration. Should have added some underneath shots also seeing thats all been catered to as well as the top has. I've just bought a L322 as a second towing car that I'm picking up this weekend. That'll probably mean I stop stock piling Supra parts and instead get to know all the LR parts people by their first names.
  2. Advice would be to hire professional fitters to do the removal and replacement. I used autoglass, they wouldn't guarantee the job as they could no longer restock the glass so its at your own risk either way. Some US sites still list the screen available for $800 but that doesn't necessarily mean it is available. So you just have to hope the fitters don't break it. There are specialist companies that will manufacture bespoke screens for classic cars so there is always a means to replace broken discontinued glass, not cheaply though.
  3. I've just bought some carburettor parts from amazon.com for my 65 Mustang and what I could buy here for £36 + £5 delivery from a specialist parts place I have coming from the US for $11 + $4.60 shipping with Amazon as the shipper (ie not via a partner). It's also below the duty threshold so no taxes to pay on entry. I'm happy with that, estimated 10 - 14 days delivery. ______________ Probably worth adding i use a business account with Amazon so that may or may not impact shipping rates available.
  4. You might want to read this before ordering from Toyota.
  5. This is the sort of thing you want. there are two sizes for pins on the a/c controller so you need to figure out what size you are after. Or try talking to Denso Europe, they do field email enquiries.
  6. Try female terminal crimp pins. Denso make them, various sizes.
  7. Dont Whifbitz do metal undertrays specifically for FMIC conversions? Worth having a look as they are reported much more durable than the OE one anyway. Then you can sell your old one if it isn't split, as they always split.
  8. http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?485216-Reinstalling-charcoal-canister Its the large black canister with three pipes going into it in the picture on the above link thread. Not uncommon for people to throw the charcoal filter away. The ABS pump should be just in front.
  9. Looks like the charcoal canisters have gone that should be up against the firewall on the right of the shot. Cannot see the ABS pump but that might be because its a small largely black picture. Some Supras do have the ABS deleted though.
  10. There is no rubber between the plastic hockey stick trim and the bodywork. If its not fitting as it should then take it off and check the screw inserts haven't been pulled out or dropped in their seating holes or rusted out of their seating holes.
  11. Being off radar in ireland for a while it may be worth putting up a recent cartell report for the car. Does it come with a verifiable history including the cars old UK MOT certificates and service history as not many UK cars average or averaged (many are now dead) a tickle over 2k a year? Without supporting documentation mileage is just a number, any number.
  12. LV or LV Classics? They have different call numbers, the LV Classics is on 0800 316 4862.
  13. Not £220 any longer but I raised the agreed value to £28k and LV renewal came in at £340. Didn't shop around this year other than to enquire of Hegerty to add the Supra to my multi-car classic policy already running with them for other cars and they quotes £191 for six months cover; timed to run to next renewal.
  14. I have 4 pre-VVTi Denso packs spare if you want OE fit and spec coils. £100 each + post, last I checked they are £150 each from Toyota and £170 from Whifbitz.
  15. "you’re not getting a blingy single conversion with loads of gauges all over the place!" Some people like that kind of bling There is a mileage discrepancy with the ad to the online MOT records which have the car at 104k miles. GLWS this time around, can't be an easy call after 13 years together.
  16. Cars just had its annual garage service and they then take it off for the MOT. The MOT tester always notes the car as the prelude to Summer and apparently always comments is it really another year gone by. It came back that the work was noticed and fully appreciated with the tester looking over and chatting about all the underside work more than bothering to test anything (seeing its all new parts he probably figured there would be little point). Cleanest car he'd ever looked at underneath. It feels quite rewarding to have all the hidden work appreciated, even if it's only going to happen once a year. The garage mechanic also mentioned a delivery driver turned up who was all over the car. Someone who had been looking for a TT6 for years but in the end had to opt for a 300ZX as he couldn't find a Supra. The ZX is a good car, just not quite a Supra.
  17. I've seen it done, on videos, with a nano sim ejectors tools with apparent ease to raise the clamp over the pin hook which then allows for the lead withdrawal from the clip. I've used watchmaker flat head screwdrivers myself to remove coil clip leads from their clips.
  18. I'll take it for £50 delivered to Shropshire. PM me over payment info if still available. Jelly bought one already, still struggling to get it to work though hence why he is delving back into the loom clips, wiring and sensors now.
  19. Plenty of US sites are listing them for around $7 each so be worthwhile asking TCB parts if they can get hold of them for you or failing that placing an enquiry to some of the US suppliers.
  20. I only did 400 miles in my Supra last year but loved it, seems to be running as good as I can ever recall it has over the last 20 years. I find the less I drive the Supra the better it seems, compared to all the other cars I own or drive. But, if you've lost the love may as well sell it onto someone else as these are old cars now in need of close attention to maintain at their best with increasingly hard to find parts and when you can find them they are increasingly expensive parts.
  21. You see these advertised in good condition from £250 to £500. They sell faster at £250 the pair.
  22. They are still available but around £250, or you could try fleabay.
  23. Why would you want to change the bushes if they don't need changing? The bolts just sleeve through the bushing. If its just the alignment you want adjusting all you need is two alignment cams, two washers and two nuts. You'll probably need to drill off the old nuts to get the original bolts out of the frame. If you don't need to break the ball joint I'd leave well alone and just run the new cam bolt through the original bush. I recently fitted new arms and I was surprised how good and firm the original arm ball joints and bushes were after 110k miles so unless you have knocks or excessive play why bother? I only bothered changing out because I am on a mission to renew everything front and rear with new OEM parts while they are still available.
  24. Available for £3.5k, apparently.
