  1. We had all better buy shares in Keron enterprises in that case, the aftermarket parts bin will be filled to overflowing.

There has been recent activity by traders or sellers claiming to just enquire while actually seeking to promote their car so be aware of that before taking your enquiry to far. Those wishing to sell on the forum are encouraged to join and then they can advertise to their hearts content in the sales section.
  4. Save weight? Never heard that reason before to ditch HID bulbs. Are you sure it's not because they are an MOT failure? That's why I ditched mine.

Low mileage - tick. FSH - tick. UK model - tick. TT6 - double tick. When you suggest the interior is a bit shabby that could detract from the overall experience but the damage to resale appeal depends if you are talking cracked dash, painted dash panels, ripped leather on the steering wheel or just some dirt and age marks on the beige leather seats and carpets. Seats can always be sorted and easily but bastardised or knackered dash panels are more problematic. If its a VIN matching car then in top condition it'd be comfortably over £40k. In really shitty condition no less than £30k. I'd offer £30k but I'd be looking to flip it. Anyone looking to buy should have high 30's to low 40's in mind.
  6. Its a discontinued item but showing available as a new item here.
  7. Ah, right. So no point anyone posting up in your thread then. Just PM you and they will be advised if they are successful and ignored if they aren't. Sounds like the makings of a proper Dutch Auction to me.
  8. Some of us were in early to just enjoy the cars when they were new. My loss excluding all the £thousands spent on it is -10%. What a bummer, with only 23 years of trouble free motoring to show for it.
  9. i see the clock I pitched in for is now off list. You never responded to my PM sent to you on Saturday and viewed by you on Saturday which is a bit rude. Actually, more than a bit rude.
  10. I've only ever seen or used spray contact adhesive with foam. It covers fast and quick then tack dries on the surface without being absorbed into the foam structure. Denser foam is usually for sound reduction so maybe you'll find that the denser foam pads are the ones closest to the fan or air outlet? You see on places like eBay a lot of options for dense foams with PC's presumably to act as sound insulation on towers. You could always ask the foam density with suppliers to see what ranges are out there readily available. You'll probably have to teach most of the sellers how to measure density but that would be one approach you could use.
  11. Welcome to the World of Classic motoring. Sheet metal, block metal a lathe and plastic 3D printer. It delivers a good, I've achieved something, feeling when you make a part from a block, retrim something or fashion a part from bits and pieces. Opens up a whole new World of enjoyment, and pain.
  12. I've replaced lots of foam in classic car refurb of heater boxes. There are lots of ads on eBay for the kind of foam that'll sort out your needs. All you needs is a pair of scissors or craft knife and some contact adhesive spray. Hopefully the old stuff is old enough to just peel off without leaving adhesive blobs behind that are a pain but a bit of heat usually softens those up. I had such fun replacing all the foam on my Mustang heater when I changed the core. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-x-A4-size-medium-density-sticky-foam-car-heaters-draughts-vibration-DIY-crafts/202699821088?hash=item2f31d9d020:g:CSEAAOSw7Mtc-Nhn https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Master-Space-Heater-Input-Foam-Genuine-Filters-Diesel-Compressor-Paraffin/324347846864?hash=item4b84a360d0:g:sakAAOSwHVVflWfw
  13. I'm not certain they will be coming back. Denso say its a case of 'no ETA' for fresh stock and other sites say its now discontinued. PS - even Jap sites are now listing the condenser as discontinued so its looking increasingly like its another part only available as a recycled or NOS part. Or a bit of JB Weld to sort things out.
  14. Ill take the clock please. PM coming
  15. Good news everything is still available from Toyota. Anyone thinking of taking their rear bumper off at some point may want to stock up while you can as metal bits at the back end of the car do tend to take a bit of punishment. I contacted three companies by email for a quote: Toyota Oxford - Steve M on holiday Toyota Shrewsbury (local dealer) - £75.05 including VAT TCB Parts - didn't quote The full parts list I ordered is: 1996 Supra rear bumper – fitment parts RETAINER, REAR BUMPER END, LH 52588-14030 RETAINER, REAR BUMPER END, RH 52587-14030 90467-05009 X8 90179-06132 X6 90467-09075 X2 90339-03020 X2 90119-06539 X2 90430-05013 X4 90467-09143 X9 90467-09143 X4 52589-14040 90467-09096 X2 90129-08001 X6
  16. It was a review on Summit Racing.
  17. There is an online review for this balancer on a 2JZ Supra that gives something to be aware of with that balancer:
  18. You were the one that told me to stop wiping off my suspension arms and take it on tour. Sounds like we all need to head off on a reluctant tour somewhere well away from home. But, what happens if it rains? Or if someone bangs into it? What if it gets stolen from a hotel car park? What if people shout at you, is that a Supra? It sounds really stressful.
  19. Pull up a chair, this may help you out.
  20. The g/centrifugal force is almost doubled going from 6,500rpm to 8,000rpm so I'd be wondering if the ceramic ring on the stock balancer will be life shortened or compromised. Maybe best go for a solid lump of metal balancer?
  21. There is a TT Auto on FB for US$85k It doesn't even possess an air box, has one of those cone affairs.
  22. New they were under £200 and they don't rust or break like the rears do which is why they don't tend to sell quickly. You probably need to have someone looking when you are selling. Cheapest on fleabay now is £80 when there were a good few around the £45 when I advertised. You could pitch it at whatever you want and just let it auto renew on eBay. The way Supra parts prices are going it'd probably fetch £1,000 in 2030.
  23. I repainted mine so it looks brand new. In perfect condition. then advertised it for £45 - not takers. I probably wasted about £15 of paint on it.
  24. I would have thought that the degradation of the valve seals is both time and temperature dependent. With, temperature being a major factor. You only have to look at how the rubbers and plastics 'on' the engine age relative to those around the engine. So if the engine has been little used then I'd expect that the stem seals will be virtually as new. If you do want to go ahead and looking for a good tool I have a Lisle collet tool ready for when I finally get around to changing my stem seals. I bought it on the strength of reviews and there are a couple of tube videos showing people using it, one on a 2JZ. It costs around £30. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lisle-36200-Keeper-Remover-Installer/dp/B000P0ZJIS
