1. If only. I think it is the show pictures that add the value, with the as featured. There could be a moratorium placed on selling a vehicle with show pictures supporting a sale as that infers some kind of club association. I was surprised to see a guy advertising his 280 Capri on eBay during the NEC show with stand pictures and a come along to the stand to view write up. So, there is no doubt people can and do use shows to shop front their cars and deals can be struck rules or no rules. Its just as well as a owner of mine for 18 years going on soon to 19 years that thought to sell never crossed my mind, at all and its unlikely it ever will. All offers received, being lots, were politely and firmly refused with a firm not for sale. But the OP could attend any car show as a way of finding out what the marketplace has to offer with a good cross section of owners and cars, from totally honest and stock to completely modified with bolt on anything you could think of and some may then, or very soon after, become available to buy. Like nicky I'm on the look out for a new Supra. I have negotiated on a stock jspec TT6 with low miles (km's actually) and its offered at a reasonable price. It's not in the colour I wanted so I low balled and had a nibble suggesting a improved offer would secure. If the OP would consider a jspec TT6 he can PM me and I'll send him over the details as it looks a good car from a reputable source. Just not UK original. Only PMs from the OP please as they are considering and may yet come back and accept my low ball offer!
2. That's you trumped then. Go see them, isn't it legal to carry guns in Arizona?
3. Really...
4. You really don't need any luck. There was a house of Lords ruling in 2014 that confirmed UK credit protection laws do extend to purchases made from overseas suppliers.
5. I have delved a bit into how 'good' the people working this site are and it appears they are very bad. So, best avoided. It seems operated out of Africa and you need to send your money to them and they then undertake the Japanese purchase (sometimes). Reviews say sometimes nothing ever appears and they don't ever see their money again and other reviews say sometimes a completely different car turns up. Only great reviews are from those with very poor English. Seems it is either a very poor come scammers site so one to avoid!
6. Those would be: 62381-14140 and 62382-14150 I paid $82 plus carriage and taxes for those last month. They are around £145 from Toyota GB each.
7. If you pay be credit card you are covered by UK credit protection on purchases in or outside of the UK so there isn't a problem security wise where you buy, so long as you pay by credit card.
8. Seals or sills? If you mean seals then I just brought a two door lower and upper set in from the USA for 60% of the cost of Toyota GB 10% discounted price. No idea what Keron is charging but I'm sure he would be happy to quote you if you contact him and he does do a quick turnaround which isn't available from the USA suppliers.
9. I don't think its a panic stage. There are plenty of companies around that re-core radiators and heater matrix's. Just means people will have to park up the car while the core is repaired or replaced and it may cost more than an off the shelf Toyota one did (though maybe not knowing Toyota prices). Supra owners will just need to get savvy about having parts fixed, patched or machined. welcome to old classic car ownership! http://readyrads.co.uk/
10. Stock (without air box) 1997 VVTI Supra just come up in Japan for £10,000. Looks like it hasn't be loved but someone could land it in the UK for around £14k. Its a bargain price in comparison to all the other TT6's currently advertised in Japan that I've seen. https://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/toyota/supra/19783420/
11. Back to £13,600 now. Its a roller coaster auction.
12. I'd go with that. Its strange bidding to receive a massive opening spurt of 31 bids to a really high level in the first 24hrs then stall with 6 days to go. I'd only value the car at maybe £14k being a NA originally and with an undisclosed box so its more than likely going to become a pulled listing with a day left.

Gtr vs supra

Hardly reasonable to compare eras, The Supra is to the GTR as a Shelby Mustang is to the Supra.
14. Went all copper this year! The £50k Supra is already here, apparently. http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=234408017&damageUnrepaired=NO_DAMAGE_UNREPAIRED&isSearchRequest=true&scopeId=C&minFirstRegistrationDate=1993-01-01&makeModelVariant1.makeId=24100&makeModelVariant1.modelId=33&pageNumber=2
15. Lower miles does equate to higher value but all classics are investible. Even Trabants. Supra TT6 prices are going up £100 a week for normal distance cars which these days are around 100k miles. More like £200 a week for low milers. Any car with an increasing value is by definition, investible. As for driving it, I have far too many cars to simply just drive these days so it will probably add another 5,000 miles over the next 10 years and I expect will be worth around £30k more than it is today without needing an engine and suspension overhaul in the meantime.
16. It really depends which car you have as the values for N/A Autos to UK TT6's vary by 500%. Only those with nice out of the factory and largely unmolested TT6's need concern themselves with the enjoyment versus forward investment question at this time. Sometimes, it pays to be boring and I've already driven 88,000 miles in my Supra; a car that is now in semi-retirement.
17. Not sure the mileage thing counts. I have a 51 year old Mustang with 37,000 on the clock. Is that 37,000 genuine - I really do doubt that. It could be 237,000 or any other number and it wouldn't affect the standard classic car value at 20 times its original new car price which of course is different to your museum piece classic value which would again be multiples of that.
18. Guess people don't know quite how much a conversion knocks the historical value of the car as an investable classic. Maybe people are still buying them to drive, which is a good thing as lots of people were mentioning at the NEC that you don't see Supras on the roads anymore..
19. Thanks Nic, that has let me price them up from the USA so I know what I could import them for. Cheers.
20. I've been buying in from he USA, genuine parts prices are half Toyota GB even at $1.24 to the £. Landed taxes paid the parts I recently brought over were still 30% cheaper. The UK is not known as Treasure Island in the auto World for nothing.
21. I'll give you a call in the morning!
22. Right call Greg, was it that she saw all the receipts in the minor service pack and couldn't face another lets send off the new car for a little service?

NEC 2016 pics

Nice video Jake. Shsss, don't tell anyone. But I'm negotiating on a recent import 1996 blue TT6 early facelift at the moment. Still think 040 white is best though.
24. Does anyone know the part numbers for the front and rear screen rubbers and any associated spacers or clips required in the screen replacement process? Looking to buy in to be ready for a re-spray at some point.
