1. It might help if you outline, in a new thread, specifically what you are looking for. My more specific ad has had replies and raised one very interesting prospect. Other than that, keep plugging away at the classifieds, TT6's are being freshly listed but they are tending towards the bolt on plastic, bucket seats and harness, roll cage kind at the moment which may or may not be your thing.
2. Interested in turbos and air box - need prices though
3. In the driveway.
4. I'll take the OEM twin turbos if they are runners - no oil seal or vane play issues. PM sent
5. There are several OE parts sites. The one I've used in the USA more than once with no issues is: http://www.toyotaonlineparts.com/ Another site you can look at is: https://www.amayama.com/en Bringing in via the Mid East.
6. Identical item, identical price and both delivered for £5 postage. I'd like to know that courier.
7. The 19 inch Jade R wheels are quite a bit pricier than the 18's. Wheelheaven are listing these at £1,200 new. Not sure if that's a bargain or not for a bone breaker ride.
8. There is a listing for a 2jz-GTE complete engine and V161 gearbox running on Fleabay that is a fraudulent listing. Pictures ripped from a USA sale so best avoided. Dodgy seller account also has ripped listings for other engine/gearbox combinations running. I've reported the sale item to Fleabay but they aren't the quickest in the World at pulling this kind of fraud attempt listing. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JDM-TOYOTA-SUPRA-2JZGTE-6-SPEED-ENGINE-SUPRA-GETRAG-TRANSMISSION-V161-SARD-ECU-/112219672411?hash=item1a20d04f5b:g:tSgAAOSwB09YOJF8
9. I was asked this question a good many times at the NEC Classic show by both people who are actively looking for a supra and others, just out of interest. I've been following Supra prices for 20 years and I have a shed load of classic cars so I think I have some idea what is marketable and desirable in the classics World. I was telling anyone who asked that I expect my matching numbers, never been re-sprayed 040 white TT6 will be worth £45k within seven to ten years. And that the Supra, being one amongst a very few cars that have established cult film status over the last 50 years the Mk4 Supra is guaranteed immortality as an icon. Meaning that for museum piece low mileage, mint, stock cars there literally is no limit on Supra values which will naturally drag all the dog eared Mk4 Supra values up. However, classic value is firmly tied to originality so the most expensive Supra will never be a 1000hp rocket with lots of bolt on plastic and Kevlar. it'll be one of your 325bhp as it rolled out of the factory TT6's.
10. The ad doesn't say what the setup is so I asked just in case its a bargain price TT6 - its a 5 speed NA.
11. Strangest set of Supra for sale pics I've ever seen http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/toyota-supra-/162301308839?hash=item25c9e96fa7:g:uoQAAOSwiDFYPYyv
12. That usually means friends and family at play this early in.
13. shame you cant change the title - should be TT - Auto!
14. If I wasn't after a V160/161 manual I'd be seriously looking into this. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-3-0-Twin-turbo-facelift/272466915895?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D38661%26meid%3D1b0b6e5752f94698958f46afbdb0bba8%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D222329797657
15. Keron has just eBay listed a black stockish auto to TT6 for £12k something.
16. Maybe a finance repo seeing it was sold only 4 months ago. Can't see why else this wouldn't trade privately and cannot see any trader imagining that they would profit at auction.
17. I think you'll find the usual Supra parts prices have recently become far from usual. These are now being eBay listed for minimum £100 each.
18. If you do decide to sell now is a good time and probably a good deal better than leaving it till the post Christmas blues. There are lots of people posting in the classifieds for wanted TT6's, including myself. Pity you're car is kitted and podded up otherwise I'd be hounding you to sell. Pricing will of course depend on mileage, condition and if its an all original matching numbers car. Prices now start at £15k for stock TT'6 and I have seen a couple of ads for lower mileage facelift TT6's near that via dealers but a good example could easily get well North of that on the right day of the week. For some the mods will add to the cars value, for others they will detract so that's always something that's hard to price effectively.
19. When I did my agreed value submission to LV classics all I sent was a list of 4 advert links showing similar prices. I insured in May for £18k no issues at all and prices are still climbing so I recon I'll be pitching at £22k to £24k next May on my stock TT6. If you paid £17k and the cars are appreciating I'd personally look to add at least £4k on that for the agreed value as it'll run 12 months anyway. Always found FJ to be a waste of time myself, they never respond at all to email quote requests that I send.
20. TT6's don't tend to hang around so it has to be its bare essentials look putting people off. If the carpets and seats were retained when it was stripped out, putting those back in would give the car a massive appearance lift.
21. You would have to be a big fan of roll cages and it does seem expensive for an older car coupled to an older turbo with not much originality (looks to be a run of every mill original silver paint) left TT6. No one is still selling that particular setup and I don't think anyone would see that as a good option compared to the current crop of no/low lag single turbo options. Should be just the thing Jake is looking for!
22. US$225 ex USA. Can't give a freight and duty breakdown as I ordered a lot of rubber strips and seals at the same time figuring it'll be hard if not impossible to get these perishables in a decade or so time.
23. Its normal for oil to seep past the valve seals on 20 year old Supras and give a white puff on start up. You can buy all the seals and gaskets using the following parts list. 90913-02088 Valve Seals X12 90913-02123 SEAL VALVE STEM OIL X12 90311-40020 Camshaft Seal X2 90105-06166 BOLT WASHER BASED H X12 90080-17190 Instrument Panel Nut X4 90210-07001 WASHER SEAL X16 11213-46020 Valve Cover Gasket X1 11214-46011 Valve Cover Gasket X1 All parts are still OE available - I bought a set last month ready to do my own car sometime when it needs doing while they remain OE available. Its a job that is a when rather than if.
