  1. I used to store cars in our massive 0.4 acre footprint barn for £100 a month on the basis of individual car and self insured against loss and damage. Got rid of the last stored car two years ago that was here for 17 years. Lots of cats running the barn (a couple of good ratters amongst them to) so there has never been a rodent issue with the cars which is always a possible problem with barn storage. with my own classic car collection, what wont fit in the garage gets parked in the barn. So there will be your 'proper' car storage at around £200 a month (which may include insurance?) or your barn storage for considerably less.
  2. If you fit 155 tyres a PS delete will be fine.
  3. Would there really be a problem rebuilding a corrosion pitted frame with plastic steel putty? Latest metal putty's can even be machine finished.
  4. A home solution applied by some in the OAP guide to maintaining your classic car is a dilute lemon juice wipe to clean rubbers followed by a gentle massage with olive oil.
  5. If you are after a 'perfect' TT6 with colour preferences then you are probably only going to see joy by importing one from Japan as you have 10 times as many Supras there to choose from and rust is less of an inconvenience than with UK resident cars. I was looking at the latest Japan listings yesterday and the prices have reached Y2mn minimum now for usual mileage RZ's up to Y5mn, so perfection now costs minimum around £27k+ landed taxes paid in the UK for a stock Supra. I think this will soon be reflected in the prices available from the usual importers who are actually offering very few TT6 Supras these days relative to other imports. Maybe the market is starting to baulk at the import prices but if it is, I'd venture it'll be a temporary gasp to the onwards and upwards for in particular, stock Supra prices. There are very few stock TT6's being offered for sale at the moment, so again importing is a more secure route to getting hold of one in the near term. You may be able to maximise a part ex value for yours with one of the usual importers as well. I'd recommend go chat with the guys at JM, DCE Europe and HJA. DCE have a teaser ad in PH saying import this car for £19,985 but when you talk to them they say allow around £30k. So you are looking at a big money upgrade to fulfil your search for perfection.
  6. Seeing insurance is to replace like with like I'd go for minimum £30k, in fact I'd pitch it to insurers at £32k. I've never had agreed value insurance turned down as too high so always figure may as well go for a level that won't be way out at next renewal in 12 months time taking into account Supra inflation.
  7. It all depends how far the rust has progressed as to cost and viability of repair. Glass out and glass in cost £60. Seal around £50. Paint and labour allow for £250. So likely not a lot of change out of £500 unless you know of somewhere you can get mates rates. There is a red paint tailgate without glass and trim for sale on eBay at the moment. Might be of interest as they don't get listed too often?

    Hello everyone

Seeing you mentioned your age have you looked at classic car insurance which may be a route to cheap insurance? OK its limited mileage up to usually a max of 5,000 miles a year buy you can insure a low group car as you daily and maybe have the Supra as your play thing? People, OK usually the older contingent, are now getting classic agreed value insurance under £200 and classic insurance doesn't tend to penalise age like regular insurance does.
  9. That website was last updated in 2005. Try the number and see if they are still going. Both in Sheffield so maybe one just became the other.
  10. Its the one that was imported by HJA only maybe 3 months back. Recall it being listed for less than the current asking price so Supra inflation now runs daily; around £40/day. Price: £24,995 U.K on the Road including a full inspection by RK tuning.
  11. How many offers did you get in the end? My one didn't make the grade but interested in the real level of interest you had as lots of people tend to get excited but fail to follow through. Enjoy NY, I certainly enjoyed my working time there.
  12. Plus clips Bonnet seal clips 90467-10146 X12 Moulding clips 90189-05130 X2 90159-50311 X2 90467-09121 X4 90164-40085 X6 90189-04219 X6 think that should do it.
  13. And for the bonnet seal 53383-14110
  14. think you are looking for parts 75065-19045 75066-19045
  15. There does appear to be one available on a POA basis that could be just the thing you are after. http://www.nur-motorsport.co.uk/images/Supra/Parts/Supra%20Front%20Bumper.JPG NUR MOTORSPORT BURGHFIELD BRIDGE GREEN LANE BURGHFIELD READING, RG30 3XN TEL: 0118 9594 866 Since when did Supra parts become POA?
  16. I haven't seen one offered for sale for a long time on eBay. Probably worth adding its going to need to be a pre-facelift if your planning on replacing the top secret bumper with a period stock item. I'd start off by talking to the breakers and getting a pre order in if there aren't any around at the moment as they do only come up rarely these days. Worthwhile mentioning if you need the stock lip to as they resemble hens teeth as well these days.
  17. Assuming its the calliper bolts in the oily bags I'd take the 4 callipers (not interested in discs or pads or handbrake shoes) for £100 delivered. PM if interested.
  18. Might be worth checking with them ahead of print that they wont be publishing a copy of your VIN plate.
  19. Can you price delivered on throttle body and heater matrix please and PM me.
  20. At the price you re pitching at you don't need to be sensitive to the condition. I wouldn't have posted it to the forum if I though it wasn't a good opportunity for anyone looking out for a ready done single. Let us all know when its moved on, hopefully pretty soon.
  21. Best place to be. Was only joking of course. Love you to bits, really I do.
  22. My own little bitch, I'm sure we can arrange a slap next time we meet.
  23. Do you know if it had a transmission conversion or was a factory TT6? It should get a fair amount of interest at the price offered and anyone not liking the spats and uneven profile can easily take off or change the spats and shirts. Definitely one to consider for anyone looking out for a 6 speed single if people don't mind travelling to Central Scotland.
