A personal suggestion would be take it off the market for three months and see where things go and where you are at. There has been so many single turbo manual and auto cars come up recently its a busy market place which wont be helping your sale. The only ones definitely sold that I know of have departed the UK or been broken for parts, so maybe in the meantime try some of the German and Swedish outlets to tap into the weaker £.

So no one has actually been to view the car. I'd be one for hold onto it if you don't need to sell. Its very unlikely to devalue unless something breaks.

Greased Lightneing are doing a 20% discount this weekend on their products, which includes Shrowroom Shine that I use myself as a quick polish. Discount code is EASTER20. https://www.greasedlightning.co.uk/

sold 1994 Supra TT6 Black BPU, the one to have
rider replied to Supra Kong's topic in Supra Classifieds
Did you keep the original spoiler, just gives any potential buyer a colour correct option if the "Big gay wing" isn't their thing? -
Thats a bummer, I don't think its compulsory to take a Supra but if you don't have a spare car then its going to be a problem. Have you asked about cancelling with the organisers? There should be time unless everything is on a strictly non refundable basis. If the chunnel ticket is non flexible there may be problems or an admin charge to reassign to another vehicle. Unless your booking includes all the meal and carting extras then you will probably need to heavily discount on the price you paid as there are still places left according to the shop availability, so the event was never oversubscribed and the last ticket was taken up a while ago now. Hope it works out whichever way it pans out.

When I built a single story extension in 1992 the foundations needed be sufficient to take a two story build. So the extension had 4 foot footings when the house itself had 6 inches. The easiest way to check is as others have mentioned, dig a small trench alongside the wall and see how deep things go.

I have a set of bilstein shocks, no springs. Treated the car to a new set last year, the ones that came off were fine. Done 100k miles. PM an offer if interested in a set of OE yellow bilstein shocks.

Jakes RZ Supra Build Project Thread. Officially Sponsored.

Looking really good and clean enough to lick. Surely you must be finished now? If you want to sell the original air box and associated intakes plus tubing let me know. -
10W/50 is too thick unless you are planning high temperature endurance running. The OE spec is 10w/30 for fuel economy and you should have a sticker on the rocker for 10W/30. 10W/40 is fine if you want to run a higher oil pressure in older engines. Should probably add I used to formulate engine oils for a living and I interchange the 30 and 40 synthetics dependent on which is on offer when I'm buying.

I love my big toy. A full rise ramp makes things so much less cramped and only £1,650 fitted. https://www.dropbox.com/s/xlm363g35xgt118/20160405_121841.jpg?dl=0 Not got anything for the Supra but bought one of these for my MGB that's getting put on sometime this weekend and had a lot of new bits collected for my Mustang this week. http://empirebritishcarparts.com/images/products/8492.jpg

I'm a bit pissed off with Audi's. Owned two and both have proved to be very expensive to run with big cost mechanical issues. Kind of rules out VAG for alternatives which includes Seat. Never considered Alfa and maybe I should, always rested on their poor build quality write ups to move onto something else. Anyone ever owned the Fiesta ST? Thay apparently bring home 40mpg.

My Audi (A3 sportsback - 140bhp) diesel blew its just out of warranty turbo yesterday and I told it, after its last big garage bill, the next time something went wrong I was going to fix it and sell it when the insurance next falls due. With all the bad press diesels are getting these days, another diesel may not be the economical choice it was and is, there is talk about raising duty on diesel fuel to encourage people back to petrol or onto electic or hybrid cars. I'm wondering what to replace the wayward Audi with? If you go for comfortable, fast and economical the options always come up as a 330d BMW or a Mercedes 220d. These are both diesels. Does anyone know of any £7k - £10k petrol equivalents that can give 45mpg and 0-60 in at or under 8 seconds that will still hold 4 adults in some comfort? I could go higher in price but I only really use the 'daily driver' for economical and comfortable longer hauls so it can sit for weeks unused, it'd be a waste just watching something depreciate more than it has to just standing. So something that already experienced major depreciation or something that is a slow depreciation vehicle would be ideal.

Thats got to have an impact. The pricing is moving out of the cheap fast car bracket into an area where you get a lot of options and choice for the money. Some dealers seem to be moving them fast enough though and they probably give as good a read on current market values as anyone really needs. JM recons most of theirs sell unseen even before they hit shore so anyone wanting to know the current market conditions just need to see whats going through their books as they bring in a mix of autos and manuals. Be interested to read if anyone has been to see this car, probably not being Central Scotland which is a major hike for most members for a car that isn't jumping out as a must buy opportunity.

That's a new concept in sales. Agree a price to transfer goods for cash and then keep the goods and don't get the cash. I never applied that principle in my business or to anything I have ever sold. For the record because there appears to be some kind of conception that I'd assign as misconception, I think people can do with their property exactly what they wish to do with their property. In the instance of Toyota Supra JZA 80's personalisation is excellent, its only a car after all and a personal possession. Modified Supras do often end up being broken for parts providing an availability of spares which is great seeing Toyota aren't required to stock the new parts anymore. The more Supras that get broken for parts then the fewer Supras there are and that could, rather than does, lead to a higher value for those wishing to part with their cars in exchange for money. I therefore do like modified Supras and have managed to pick up a lot of stock parts from ones being broken. Still, the facts are undeniable, they are finding it hard selling as complete units at the moment for the premiums normally applied, only a couple of years ago over the stock equivalent. That's a fact, a really simple and easily observable fact. All this thread said was big single 6 speed Supra £5k price drop. That's big news and it could just be the cheap single turbo 6 speed someone is looking for, for a sum of cash less than several stock TT6's have been coming onto the market for these days.

This car has been advertised in Glasgow for a good few months. Just reappeared on Autotrader with a £5k price drop. Seems singles aren't finding new homes easily these days at the premium they once commanded over the stock original. Maybe oversupply took over with one and under supply with the other? Now a sub £20k advert. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201611189885288?make=TOYOTA&model=SUPRA&logcode=p

Its unusual for a classified 200 views in to not get any comment so I've buckled. There is one thing that doesn't look quite right with the listing.
-
That's been listed since last Summer. Original story was an elderly gent who had retired to Spain and used it as his commute car to and from the UK but he was having issues getting in and out of the damned thing. Price hasn't changed at all but I'd suspect after this long for sale the mileage probably has.
-
Pricing is all over the place at the moment, with TT Autos being advertised anywhere from £9,000 to £29,995 so its think up a number. The ones in the £9k to £12k band tend to sell fairly quickly.
-
I'd suggest sorting the rusty arches and tailgate out first if you want £12.5k otherwise you are likely to get very few people making the trek to view. Shouldn't set you back more than £1k and prevent possible disappointment for viewers and you may even be able to recoup some of the cost in a slightly higher price. People don't usually like paying near top price for a car that is not near perfect.

I'd recommend you join the below linked forum. You can ask any question about just about anything and get plenty of useful and sometimes not so useful advice. Really good for any HMRC questions you may have. http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/

There are a whole raft of virtual office companies which offer mail forwarding through to a receptionist service. Similarly its an easy search for a third party that do all the companies house filing for a very small fee. Your main problem could well be with the named director(s). You now need to name a buck stops person and I don't know if that can be someone who is not resident in the UK, so you should check that out. The main ports for container traffic is Felixstowe, other ports of note are Southampton and Liverpool. The real question though is why set up in the UK unless the UK is your main market location. Ireland has much lower company tax rates. If setting up a Warehouse in the UK Wales offer generous grants and subsidised broadband to companies that you won't get in England and North Wales is close to the port of Liverpool.

Might be worth doing a bump with an updated price on this seeing you have it revised on eBay at a different price?

Any Idea What the Devil This Is That I found In My Supra
rider replied to a98pmalcolm's topic in Supra Chat
It may be an old speed delimiter, to bypass the 110mph National limit of Japanese cars. The only way to find that out would be to disconnect it and go for a drive. -
(FIXED) Hit boost and car died.... now doesn't start...
rider replied to Supra-love's topic in mkiv Technical
Sure you didn't over boost and blow a pipe or pipe coupling or maybe your cam belt snapped?
