  6. Charity Midlands Meet - Derby - 28th September Right with all these gatherings and Gumball rallies going on down where the shandy drinkers are (south), were getting lonely up here but this promises to be a very big meet with other things to do, if you like jumping with an elastic band round your legs that is... The next Midlands meet is on Sunday 28th September at 11 a.m. This is a meeting with a difference! There is the usual car meet with a raffle in aid of Cancer Research UK. There is also a 185 foot bungee jump, bbq, disco, raffle and stalls laid on by the pub with proceeds going to the Magic Million appeal for Cancer treating hospital equipment. If you were going to come to the Midlands meet, come to this one. All the details are linked from the usual page - here Dave:)
  7. Its up the other end of the midlands though fella, i'm just posting this for someone, many thanks for the offer though.
  8. August Midlands Meet this Sunday After what seems like a very long summer break, we resume at the bubble for the August Midlands meet on the 31st. It's at the usual time of 12.00 lunchtime. Details as normal here - Bubble Meet details . I am aiming to have a meet on the last Sunday of the month for the rest of the year. I will be updating my website as soon as I can to show this. Also next months meet (on the 31st September) should be very special (especially if it does not rain!). More details to come.
  9. Yer i was tempted by the drag strip and track, been round Donington a few times, but not taking the Supe, taking the Jag, you could have borrowed my, supe thats silver with black wheels now too but i've got RLTC.... Still look out for dashingly handsome in a Black XK8, cant imagine there'll be many there.
  10. I'm def going fella, but not in the Supe, should be good for a laugh, watching people up the drag strip in there twist and piss (small engined car). You'll have to tell me what your driving and i'll look out for you.
  11. M8, your still gonna kill 95% of things there, get yourself on........ If in doubt put yourself against a nova/Corsa
  12. You going up the drag strip then....... Its tempting surely......
  13. Dunno, if there heavier they have more structural things because of the roof i think, but the roof is very light. It used to be heavyily modded, but i sold everything off it, Now its just Lowered on Eibachs Walbro Fuel Pump HKS Plugs Apexi Ind Kit RLTC But with RLTC your mine!!! Especially if it rains
  14. Bahaha, depends how well you can drive, or i could just take the Supe...
  15. Been speaking to a few ppl here, and theres gonna be a convoy of about 40 going from Stoke, good to know i'll be one of the quickest.
  16. My idea as well, and if i'm lucky i may even get to pull a 14-15 yr old with bleached blonde hair who says fu*k all the time.... Gonna be a bit strange going in mine with all them Nova/Corsa Boys.
  17. Somehow i think thats a little conservative;)
  18. these Porterfields are the full race and they were a bit squeaky at times, but they were phenomonal stoppers!!
  19. With all this talk of brakes, i thought i'd throw my two pennies in. I've got J-spec Brakes, with standard pads, but i had a track day coming up.... Couldnt afford the upgrade so just uprated the pads to Porterfield Full Race pads, fitted them and noticed improvements, went on the track day must have done about 20-30 laps, no brake fade, and excellent stopping power, however i didnt realise how good they were until i took them out again and the standard pads were so shiteeee i almost ran in the back of people, so i dont think its so much the discs but the terrible pads that are put with them. Never been in a UK setup so cant compare, have been in a Kad setup with UK rears and they are very impressive...... But just wanted to say that i think the pads are the culprit more than the discs themselves when it comes to J-Spec.
  20. 60 litres aint it, and the UK is 70 ????

    Torque

I understood that Torque is what gets you through the gears (e.g acceleration) and BHP is tied in with your topspeed.
