  1. Very little can shift chrome, that's the problem. You have to reverse the application process to remove them without damaging the wheel. It's possible to blast it off, but only with the right medium and high enough pressure, which will mangle alloy wheels
  2. Where are you getting the chrome stripped fella? And how much did they quote you? I've got a set of chrome wheels that need stripping and found it a nightmare finding someone to do it that weren't an absolute rip off. I was going to send them to a guy Dnk knows but never got round too it.
  3. I forgot all about wheelswhores, I used to have a look at that website last year but I forgot the name of it Nice wheels do come up on there, not as many 18" as I'd like but still a good shout....thanks
  4. For 18's i'm planning around 18x9 and 18x10 and around ET25. Should be a nice fit with the arches rolled. Tbh, nice wheels are very rare on this Forum, i've been keeping an eye out for an age. I'm looking for a website with a good stock to choose from rather than wait for the odd chance a set will come up.
  5. I refuse to use Driftworks anymore after I got shafted on the last wheels I bought from there so does anyone know of any good websites that have listings for decent second hand wheels. I'm not looking for budget ebay ones, I'm more after the likes of SSR Professors SP1's or Work Meister S1's, that sort of thing. I've been keeping an eye on Japanese Performance but they're stock doesn't seem to change much. I know Jurgen imports them but I got a bit lost on the Japanese Yahoo when i used it last time My second question is for people with 19" wheels. Is there any noticeable cons over 18" ones? Also, what sort of offset can I get away with if I was to go 19x9 up front and 19x10 at the rear with the arches rolled? 19's just seem to fill the arches a bit better to me than 18's.
  6. Take some pics when you get them fitted guigsy/jamesy. I'm moving house next week so I'm going to wait until after then before I order mine just incase they get lost in the post or something. - - - Updated - - - 12x 1.5 fella
  7. I'm ordering the matching ones I posted above, they're both steel which is fine with me
  8. How about these Jamesy, they match at least. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RED-Tuner-Wheel-Nuts-x-20-12x1-5-Toyota-Corolla-Starlet-Celica-Mr2-Supra-Rav4-/110938420185?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyres_Trim_Nuts_ET&hash=item19d471f3d9 with http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mitsubishi-Lancer-EVO-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-TUNER-LOCKING-WHEEL-NUTS-RED-12x1-5-/111051233352?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyres_Trim_Nuts_ET&hash=item19db2b5848
  9. I think i'm going to have a punt at the alloy ones if I can find a matching locking set. They look alot nicer aesthetically to me. If they turn out to be crap i'll just bin them and take the hit, only £25 end of the day.
  10. Have you found a locking wheel nut set in the same colour/finish Jamesy?
  11. I haven't looked at every post but if its not been mentioned try Adrian Flux. I'm 28 and insured mine under classic insurance a few months back for £250 ish. I had to beat them down in price though, big time
  12. Bloody hell James, you don't hang about !! 2 days in and you've done a 6 speed conversion, that's got to be a record I've seen that colour in the flesh as well and it's gorgeous. Congrats fella
  13. It just peels right off fella, very easily. Doesn't damage anything in anyway, its brilliant stuff for certain applications.

    Oil

Has anyone found a good alternative to the Toyota V160 oil, possibly something thicker to quieten down the box a little?
  15. You can get them on ebay easy enough Abz, search buffing mop or similar. I have a smaller set for when I did my other wheels which I use with my powerdrill. He's also using the pink finishing bar which you can also get from ebay.
  16. Do you just use a microfiber to remove the polish residue Mario? From what I've read, it's good practice to use some pre-wax cleaner or lime etc to remove the residue post polish. They look awesome though, so want a set
  17. I was going to buy those low profile ramps ages ago but didn't have the space to keep them. I was also worried the Supe would still be too low to get on them but after reading Hecklers comment I may have to have a punt at them when I get in my new place, as I have a TS bumper and mine isn't lowered all that much.
  18. Unless you have exceptionally deep pockets, i would scrap the twin turbo idea. Go for a nice single setup, you won't be disappointed.
  19. I don't think bikes work very well without the wheels fella.
  20. I read the "interesting Question part" then felt I was lied too also, fixed
