  1. Lol very true... i opt for the lying and the "It was only about £40 all together babe" method I'm going to keep a close eye on the single conversion and see what comes of it. Although after closer inspection i notcied the £4000 didnt include fitting so it would end up being dearer than a NA-TT BPU conversion me thinks. Although, a single is a different kettle of fish when compared to the TT so it could be worth the extra.
  2. Very true ! Dont want to go all the way straight away i suppose, you can build up to it. Make sure you include all the parts you sourced, where from, prices, stuff like that, that others like myself can read and learn from.
  3. Sounds like a good plan mate, i was pretty sure the auto box wouldnt be up to the job but didnt want to say incase i was wrong. Have you sourced any of the parts needed yet? I might think about making up a wanted thread and trying to get a group buy once i've got the right NA manual for me. The NA-T conversion Whifbitz is putting together looks like a good bit of kit aswell. The costs dont look all that different than what it'll take to do a TT conversion to BPU level.
  4. Classic case of "I WANT MY SUPRA NOWWW!!!"
  5. I know exactly where your coming from Gaz, i absolutely LOVED my Auto NA when i had it and it and if it wasnt an auto i would have kept it and TT'd just becasue it was MY car. Are you planning on going BPU once you have the conversion. It could be worth saving up that little bit more and having it all done at the same time. It isnt even that much extra work. You may have to ask about whether your NA auto box would be good for BPU power levels tho in the long run, not sure if it'd have a detramental effect or not. Only 200 squid for a TT box tho however Cheap as chips !
  6. Where are you having the conversion done Mobsta?? I'm looking into it at the moment like yourself and Gaz. I've emailed Keron and AFR and heard nothing back as of yet. What price have you been quoted also? Looking forward to the write up once you have it done. All the best for Monday mate.
  7. Are you going to make a build thread for this Mitch?? It'd be nice to see how it came together and the end results. It might make that 5 hr round trip to bluewater worth while if it means to get to have a go in it
  8. I'm looking into possibly doing this myself but from what i can gather there seems to be A.) a shortage of parts to do the conversion at the moment or b.) a shortage of ppl to do it. Such as this may however, all feedback i've had so far from people having gone through the process has been positive. It doesnt seem like a massively log winded process and as long as you have a good NA base for the conversion and source a decent TT lump then it should be pretty smoothe sailing. Are you planning on keeping your Car auto or changing it to a 5/6speed at the same time. The latter would cost considerably more as the manual gearboxes arent cheap which is why i'm on the lookout for a good Manual NA as a base at the moment.
  9. Get some pics up of it once you get it so we can all see
  10. I've sent him a PM Topgun, i do really like the look of his Auto but i had a good long think about it over the last 2 days and decided i'm going to try a manual this time round. Hope this sells for you Matt, its a crackin example at a cheap price IMO.

    apology!!

    Good luck with the sale
  12. Click on Stevie-b's link if you havent already, it has a link on it to a repair kit for the starter. Theres also a sticky somewhere which takes you through step by step how best to remove the starter and replace the copper contacts. Its not a hard job, although getting the starter off can be a bit of a kn*b apparently.
  13. The gun metal grey with the white alloys looks immaculate !!
  14. Yep, i just found it on Google maps...5 hrs round trip, too far for me
  15. Where is bluewater Mitchell, ive never heard of it?? I'm near Norwich.
  16. As long as it was road worthy ie would have past an MOT then i dont think the seller has to pay anything. If it wouldnt have then i guess it wouldnt have been "fit for use" so i would have thought he would have been held liable as shouldnt have sold it without stating so upon purchase. Whether or not this is true i have no idea so dont hold me too it, its just what i was told last year sometime. Hope it gets sorted anyway buddy
  17. Thanks mate i'll look into it. I remember reading an article a few years ago saying how much better the Dominican is now. From what i remember it said that a few years back it was a crap hole so they renovated everything to a good standard.
  18. Yeah, my friend suggested the Dominican, where abouts did you stay?? I've heard good things.
  19. I'm all for exploring, i'm going to edit my first post i reckon because i dont want to be limited to just one type of holiday. A week exploring beautiful beaches and scuba diving in coral reefs would be just as enjoyable, maybe even more so.
  20. I know the name but i've never met him. I dont know all that many people from the Aberdeen branch, i just do my two weeks, hand in my paperwork and fly home lol.
  21. Lol maybe i should work abroad then and start my own holiday business.
