  1. I had error code 42 a few weeks ago when we were playing around with the ECU to plug in an AFR gauge. The car wouldn't go above 2nd gear! Turns out a black wire in amongst the hundreds in the loom had come loose. Connected it the chassis to ground it and it was fine.

    Bit fed up

I know what you mean. I have kept the run around I had before I bought my RZ a year ago (had intended on selling it straight away). Using the cheap one for half my annual mileage compared to using the Supra for all of it pays for its tax, MOT, insurance and servicing in the money saved on fuel alone. The Supra for me is a weekender. I can't consider selling it, but 'cos I only drive it on the weekends I love it all the more. Keeping the granny car for the time being.
  3. I thought it was fascinating.

    why?

    On a scale of 1 to 10?
  5. Might have been me!! Not sure though, I drove passed Ensbury Park at probably more like half 2 if I remember rightly (not quite passed the firestation but cut through a side rd by the speed camera). I have seen another silver veilside a couple of times round Bournemouth. Did it have a stock rear spoiler?
  6. I live in Moordown, but over Wimborne way quite regularly. Will be out in a pub in Wimborne tonight actually with dangerous off this forum. Won't be driving tho
  7. I replaced the auto gear select handle for a new one and ended up breaking the connection in the overdrive switch. Tried to solder it back together with a portable gas soldering iron and dropped some hot solder on the drivers seat through the only gap between my jeans. Then tried to remove said solder from the seat using the soldering iron after unsuccessfully picking at it with a screwdriver. Ended up with what looks like 3 fag burns on the seat. REALLY stupid!! Been pondering getting them re-upholstered ever since.
  8. Don't they come pre-sprayed from Mr.T? I recently asked him and was told they're a wedge each, but they are electric folding, heated, pre-sprayed your colour wingies. Alternatively try 247spares.co.uk. One guy offered me a drivers side for £80 inc. delivery. I was after a pair tho. If I ever found the scum that wrecked mine....... EDIT: Oh! You're in Dorset? Where abouts?
  9. How about going bling?: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=195908&highlight=reflections
  10. 1: Wile e Coyote 2: Supradan 3: Buster 4: barneybrendan 5: Fearless 6: T-I-G-G-E-R 7: Topgun TT?? 8: Pudsey Me and dangerous will be going to JAE on the Friday from Bournemouth. Do you guys have any idea what road you are taking up and what time you might be passing through somewhere like Swindon Services if going up the M4?
  11. Stigmata was alright and the Nineth Gate. Both had a bit of a twist.
  12. 110,000 fireworks in one minute! It sucked big time!! There were small kids bawling their eyes out it was so bad!! Was it that orange fizz that lasted about 2 seconds? I don't even know. Even the commentator on the loud speaker was like "Errrrrmm, well I think that was it...(?)". I think something went wrong 'cos the barge was on fire. Watching the fireworks at Sandbanks on the walk back to the car was more impressive.
  13. Here's one I found a while ago when my fogs went and I failed an MOT. I sent it to the garage but I don't know if they used it or not to fix them. Fog Lights.pdf
  14. Probably dangerous (Dave). Did it have a Bomex front bumper?
  15. My cars silver. I painted the lights matt black. They look much better imo. EDIT: Oh wait, yours are the facelift ones? Does that mean they are black to start with? Mine are the old versions which were silver (pics in my garage). I prefer black.
  16. F*@% THAT!!! :hide:I expect I'll have nightmares tonight. Thanks a bunch...
  17. I took mine apart and T-cut inside and out and then polished them before putting them back together. Lasted about 6 weeks before they started to go yelllow again. I think you need to do something more permanent like using laquer. I expect someone will be along shortly with something more useful.
  18. Just finished re-spraying my bonnet round a mates house after 2 weeks of sanding and spraying (never re-sprayed anything before). Fitted it back on the car last night before taking a step back to admire how good it looked. We then went inside for a beer and when we came out at 11:15 some f**kers had ripped both electric folding mirrors off and smashed them on the street. Normally would have set the alarm but didn't bother as I was working on the car, plus we were only in the front room at the time and didn't hear a thing. Anyway, I don't spose anyone has a pair of electric folding mirrors going spare? Silver would be nice but really not picky. Cheers.
  19. I've just spent this evening round a mates finishing of my bonnet for the Supra. Went indside for a few hours, came back out at about 11:15 to find some little c**nts have ripped both my electric folding mirrors off and smashed one to pieces. Didn't hear a thing from inside. I know you feel mate. I want to hurt them in the worst way possible.
  20. Are you not gonna just end up with the needles going round and back again on nicely coloured but somewhat blank background, or have I missed something rather crucial here? EDIT: Wait a minute... are these those metal dials with the numbers cut out rather than just printed on the top? Ignore me....
  21. Yeah, I think all Plasma and LCD's have the option to change them, some even do it automatically to match the signal. As Bobbeh says if sports are broadcast at 720p you need to set your LCD to display 720p, otherwise if its on 1080 you might be watching gremlins when you want to watch the footy.
