  1. Reiminds me of someone I knew who crashed his car at a junction (his fault), then drove off cos he was over the limit only to have the police turn up at his house half an hour later with his number plate, which fell off his car at the junction.
  2. Wow! How very festive. No festive smilies though, but here, have a jester:
  3. This is interesting. I have a small boost leak and suspect its coming from my old SMIC so Im looking for an upgrade. With an aftermarket front bumper with a big opening at the front combined with an FMIC, which I assume generally have larger surface areas, would this not be more effective than replacing with another SMIC? Also, if Im only interested in BPU is it possible to get an ovrersized FMIC or is it generally the bigger the better (comparing for example a good quality GReddy 2 row with a GReddy 3 row) if only running say 1 bar on stock twins? And is there any preference over pipe sizes?
  4. Do you always allow your kids to pull moonies at the camera?
  5. Why is there such a massive difference in price from these ebay FMIC's to GReddy, HKS etc.? Is there really that much difference in efficiency or weight?

    Modern Warfare 2

'Plantinum'... I like that. I think I'll name my greenhouse with it.
  7. I've got 2 cars. Cert for the runaround says it and the date matches the reg (although this cars not an import) but the last 2 MOT certs for the supe (from 2 different garages) have this bit missing completely, and not just not filled in, but there's not even a cell for it. Weird. Just to clarify, the runaround model was built between 1997 and 2002. My car is an '02' plate and the approximate date of first use also says 2002.
  8. GTO, Skyline R33 and RX7 were all high on the list. The Supra was at the top though and was definately the right choice.
  9. Compression test? but 203BHP doesn't sound too bad.
  10. Is the red triangle on in the middle of the rev counter? Any error codes? I did have a problem once when the wire into the ECU that was spliced to to fit the APEXI rev timer thingy came out any my car wouldn't go above 2nd. Error code said 42 (I think) which was for the speed sensor. I found this loose wire out of the ECU and plugged it back in and everything was fine.
  11. Hello, I have one of those Apexi rev meter things but it doesn't affect the gear changes. When you chill round town the auto box will change gear nice and early to save fuel, but when you floor it it will get right into the powerband before changing, that's normal, or are you saying it won't change at all? The overdrive is the switch by your thumb when you grab the shifter. It let's you go above 125 mph when on (overdrive gear), or keeps the engine matched to the road speed when off. (P.S. Don't ask about the red button will you )
  12. Any error codes? I had a problem where my car wouldn't go above 2nd. Error Codes said speed sensor and it turned out one of the hundreds of wires into the ECU (that had been spliced to fit a lap timer in Japan) had come out. Plugged it back and been fine ever since.
  13. Wimborne's good. I lived there for 8 years (well Colehill). Nice town in general (schools, location, pubs, history etc.) and about 30 mins in the rush hour to Poole.
  14. I gutted for you mate. I loved that car when I first saw it at the Pulpit, and again in Brighton. It's in top condition (bar the obvious). Hope it's all sorted soon.
  15. Paul, I will no doubt be employing your services to fit this if you don't mind. Can you do it whilst I wait and do you have any idea how long it would take? Cheers
  16. This exactly why you need to get a PS3.

    HAhahaha

    I quite like this thread.
  18. I put my RZ in TTC for a while by by-passing the VSV's. You get lots of lag low down when nothing happens until around 3000rpm, then a surge of power up to 4000. Be careful though, after a week I noticed quite a bit of white smoke out the back on over run. I put the turbos back in sequential and the smoke went away. I spoke to some one at the Brighton run a few weeks ago who also said he put it in TTC, soon got lots of white smoke and then had to pay a wedge to get his turbos reconditioned! I don't know why the smoke in TTC. Maybe I did it wrong.
