    not my week

Thanks Scott, i'll keep that in mind. I do tend to look into things aswell but anything you can add will be very useful. The only common problem with them seems to be the dual mass flywheel can fail. I read it can be fixed by fitting a normal fly and clutch from a transit if it does though The back seat that big? It needs to take 2 boosters and a baby seat. Mondeo was one af a few cars I considered that looked to have quite a flat rear seat rather than sculpted and ackward

I know why my old man liked this club. You are all as sarcy as he was Thanks for the heads up on the grey one. I'm looking for leather, comfort and 50mpg so it ticks all the boxes. And i have 3 kids to fit in the back aswell so it should do just fine. Must say i am tempted by the petrol version. Can pick them up for half the price, half the mpg though

Nice. Was looking at the very same model. Quite fancy it in grey though. How you finding it?
  4. I'm sure I saw that on the tv a while back. Appealed to my sense of humour. These clips get recycled a fair amount I reckon.

Thank you Hodge. Your supportive comment has come to surcease the flow of tears. Knowing that someone feels as I do is strangely comforting. Do you have a cavalier and need a friend too? The blown gasket is a turning point for me to grow up so it will be sold when i fix it next week. I was looking for something else until a few weeks ago, nearly bought an mpv. Thats just admitting defeat and giving up Bring on the diesel mondeo family wagon..... i can't wait

In the desperate hope of a little sympathy for my cause I turned to the good people of the supra forum and all you can do is mock me. Shame on you. But i can't really argue with any of it....

    not my week

My runabout is a 94 cavalier and was only running on 3 cylinders when i left work this morning. Optomistically i got the tools out thinking maybe a bad lead or even the coil pack. I was met with a bulging radiator pipe, massive pressure in the cooling system. Heres hoping it just a head gasket and not the head The lesson here is when you do a rebuild use an OE gasket, not save a fiver and use the factors.... doh

Thanks very much Chris, greatly appreciate your help. I'll try some obvious areas first and a good service to see if I can sort it. If not my first trip next year may be down your way Chris

Thanks guys, I do intend on keeping it. Think my old man would have wanted me too. I have driven it a fair amount in the past but have much to learn yet I hit 5% at idle. Think max is 3.5%. Will need to investigate. I do have a AEM wideband that i can plumb in.... this should help me i would think

TT with no cat, just a restrictor ring i believe. I'm thinking there might be a vacuum leak as boost feels high, this would have an effect on fueling?!

    Sad news - AlanM

Thank you everyone. I'm really touched by the nice messages that have been left. My old man would be stunned and shocked at such a gesture to hold a minutes silence as I am. I've kept it together for 2 days until i read that, really means alot to me and the family. Hope everyone has fun on the track Best regards Kris
