you say this but will it give me my 2nd gear back or just get rid of the light ? when i put it in drive /auto it try to set of in 3rd and then goes into 4th fine when needed ???? i have no 1st 2nd in auto but i can manualy select 1st but not 2nd !

also what color should the box oil be mine looks very light like engine oil ?

is there any way of telling if they are no good mate ?

tried getting the codes and nothing just a constant flash from the engine management light tried 3 separate times where is the speed sensor located inside or outside the gearbox ?

i have a 1999 3.0 n/s soarer with auto box i have owned the car a short while and its has recently developed an issue with the box when i put it in drive it only uses 3rd and 4th there is no 1st 2nd but if i use overdrive i can select 1st 3rd and 4th i have the o/d off light flashing on the dash every 3seconds also???? i have tried diagnostics using the port and i dont get any faults just a constant flash check oil when warm and running and its slightly low but nothing major any thought theorys would be great as im stuck skipping gears which carnt be good for my car ! cheers boys

Im in the exact same situation my gf's mum is so imature and we have just moved into a new place and her dad offered to buy us a house warming then when they brought it her mother pulled her to one side and said she wanted the money for it within the nxt 2week ! i got involved and now am barred from anywhere her mum is lmfao well worth it tho the bitch !

did this and it worked for about 3days ive bought a new starter motor (nt 2nd hand ) and ill be fiting at the weekend along with brake pads disks and new light race radiator ! also been looking a nice kit for my supra its a new kit and never seen it before on a car so it myt be a 1 off for a while lol !

ooooh yes ive got it now thanks ! ive found a full reconditioned starter motor and wundered if this would be better if i was going to take my car to a garage ? the full unit recondition is only 25 pound wt do think ?

where do i get the kit from ? and yeh your spoton that exactly what its doing the bloody thing i nearly sod it on saturday aswell lol but i chose not to andon sunday it did this lmfao its payback for thinking about selling am sure lol ! im wanting a tt in about 6month but im going to sort this one out 1st lol ! cheers tim

ive just been and checked the connections again and they are nice and tight the positive could be tighter but its well gripped on the connector !

hi again, moe problems for me when i go to start my car it just makes a loud "CLICK" noise ? i have a feeling this is the starter motor ive check the volts from the battery when im turning the key and they drop to about 11 just wondered if it could be the battery ? when i go for a drive and turn the car of while the car is warm it starts 1st tym evey time but when left to cool it takes about 30 turns of the key ? any help please ! p.s if you think its the starter motor how much am i looking for parts and labour ? thanks tim
