  17. I'm hoping to make this my first meet, just need a major point clarifying please, does getting to this meeting point mean having to go over some high speed humps as my supra is soooo low? It would be such a waste if I made it that far.....and yet still be far..lol
  18. You only need one AVCR or equiv EBC, if is been fitted correctly and set up by someone who has the correct knowledge and its not working then it must be an actuator problem. Its common on the TT's for the actuators to play up. First things first, get someone to make sure the AVCR has been fitted correctly then if thats ok you more than likely have an acuator problem. Apart from that check for leaks in turbo pipes etc. Do a search on the forum for testing actuators. Good luck mate!
  19. To put things into perspective the duty levels were 1st - 5%, 2nd - 4% and third - 0%! WAY OUT.. The car was being held back and now having read those threads I understand why. I have managed to get the boost to peak at 1.3 to 1.35 now with the cooler air in the eves. My brother is well chuffed and told me to say thanks, so thanks Mike! I'll wait for your duty settings if you get a chance, just want to see what settings you have settled for. Cheers
  20. Once again thanks Michael. I'm now an unofficail AVCR technician! The car is running more like it should. I've been tweaking the duty settings and seem to have got it right. The boost peaks at 1.3 to 1.34. Could yo please tell me your duty settings for 1,2,3 etc? Cheers
  21. Thanks Michael, as you siad I'll have a good read before tampering. Will let you know how things pan out
  22. He does have a fuel cut defender. Hope you can get me those settings please plus any guidance on actually setting it up as I'm only a novice but not a shy one. His boost was set at 1.2 bar and not changed since then. He was told about the 1.5 bar but didn't have it turned up to that.
  23. Your experience sounds very familiar....a very very respected trader on here yes! (North London to be precise). If you could get the settings that would be fantastic. I just phoned him and he said yes the car sort of cuts outs but does not turn the engine off. It continues to drive but the engine management light comes on for a few seconds and then goes out. Sounds like your right. Does he need this piggy back ECU or not? And is it easy to set up once I have the settings (assuming you find them)?
