  1. I'm really concerned about the continuous hissing noise coming from near the inlet manifold. this noise is constant while ignition is on??? any ideas guys. I think this is the cause maybe Im wrong
  2. No earthing was taken off during spray. However, I tried a direct earth to engine using a jump battery and still no joy. I have now by passed the clifford concept 500 and still not cranking. I've tapped the starter to see if that needed a nudge but still not cranking over......
  3. 1995 TT UK Spec (not BPU) Car has never played up, been in garage for 2 months (snm) for a full re-spray, took it out yesterday. noticed central locking was playing up - not working from fob or key in the door but did work via button on inside driver door card. Started and stopped car about 3 times during the day. This morning tried to start and nothing, all lights in dash are coming on as normal, immobiliser light goes out but the car is not cranking over..... Brand new car battery too. I have noticed a really weird hissing noise coming from inlet manifold when the ignition is on, what is this??? never heard it before. No vac pipes are off or anything. ] To top it all off the central locking has now stopped working full stop! I would like some help and advice please, supposed to be taking family out today so as you can imagine I'm not in the good books I'm going to jack car up and tap starter to see if it's that..
  4. Thanks for the advice guys. Seems like my body shop guy is trying to get out of it......SNM. Kerching kerching I guess lol
  5. I just purchased a Trial front and rear bumper and veilside arches. My car currently has OEM sides and spats. I'm removing the current spats, and front & rear bumper. Please can someone tell me if it is possible to fit the veilside arches onto the supra which already has the oem sides? My bodywork chap said the veilside arches overhang the sides by some 3-4 inches (i.e closer to the ground than the oem sides!) However, blending the arches to the trial rear is fine. Does this mean I need Veilside sides aswell?? or is it a case of modifying it to fit? Any advice would be very much appreciated Thanks
  6. Cheers Gaz I have read that but then other peeps say you need a piggy back ECU blah blah blah..... Oh well I'll go by the advice on that link. Will post an update shortly... Can you tell me the safe boost level I can run, I have double de-cat, plugs Irdiums, Nur spec exhaust and me as the driver Many thanks
  7. To all UK spec owners (current/past) Please answer one simple question is BPU'ing a JSpec the same as a UK Spec TT. More specifically the EBC side, will an EBC be sufficient or is something else needed. I have done my research on here and found some very conflicting advice, spoke to "Guru's" and again conflicting advice. So as you can imagine I'm somewhat confused..... Hence this post is for those of you who have had first hand experience in BPU'ing a UK Spec TT (AUTO or Manual) Thanks in advance. My Number, if someone would prefer to chat, is 0777 193 2856
