Thanks Guys. Now posted in the right section, so mods feel free to delete if it offends I've been told that the rear wing is a Veilside item. There was a Veilside sticker on one of the windows, but I can't see it written on the wing anywhere. Regards Nito

Hi Guys, Any ideas if the HKS Type R fmic works with the active front spoiler, mine has the spoiler permanently in the down position with no motor or anything in place. I wonder if the whole mechanism works with the fmic Thanks for any help in advance Cheers Nito

I spoke to Chris last week regarding this upgrade and have to say it sounds like a well thought out set-up and certainly seems well respected on the board. Thanks for the feedback, It's next on my list of things to do when funds allow. My car has the std bilstein yellow dampers and some crappy springs which has the car sitting ridiculously low, the ride is terrible and it really thuds into potholes not to mention scraping the exhaust everywhere and the front spoiler acting like a snow plough on any speed bump, and I think I heard one of the front wheels rub lightly on the front arch!! The dampers have probably seen better days too now (probably why it seems such a poor package) so i'm sure it'll be money extremely well spent. Nito

Dean, It can be fitted to a uk car, it just means that you need to fit a dongle in line to the vsd as opposed to before the speedo. Nito
-
DArby, It comes in KM/h and Mph, the VSD II (speed/revs) is switchable for both kmh and mph, the Sports VSD (loads of features) as fitted to my Supe is only available in KM/h although as the car is a J-spec and the frequency has been converted it reads mph even though the symbol says km/h if that makes sense. I'll have to look into disabling the K part of the symbol if its poss. Nito

Hi Gavin, I'll get some done, it's always dark when I get in from work!! Nito

FaithStalker, We distribute these here: http://www.nitosport.co.uk/n2/index.html Rgds Nito

Thanks guys. Gavin, I glance at them from time to time, but as they all flag up programmable visual and audible warnings its obvious if something is amiss. It's especially useful for diagnostics as I can go for a run it'll record upto 3 minutes worth of information and I can then play it all back and see at what revs and boost everything is happening such as EGT's, fuel press, oil temps etc. I prefer to know what's going on so that you can catch potential problems in their early stages especially when experimenting and tuning. It's saved my Subaru three times from certain engine damage, once with a blown air flow meter, once for head gasket, and once for a damaged boost vacuum pipe over the 4 years I've had it. FaithStalker, You can see it perfectly in the day as it dims automatically with the lights on, it's something that's hard to imagine from these pics, it really has to be seen in the flesh. The Speedo is much clearer than the oe one and much easier to look at when the turbo is in and the same with the boost.

lol. I may as well give up now then Anymore and it'll look like that XXX the movie car!! Nito

Gaz, Yup. The one on the left is the boost and turbo timer (it adjusts the idle time according to how much stick you've been giving it) and has a peak boost function, and the one on the right is the speed in mph (thanks to the dongle) it'll time a 1/4 mile run, has a trip timer, odometer/trip, clock (to replace the one which the water temp replaced) and revs. Rgds Nito

Hopefully this'll appear more like the jet fighter effect I was looking for last time as opposed to the commercial aircraft Jet fighter.

I thought steam cleaning was worse as the steam would penetrate areas the water wouldn't! Nito

Lol @ gaz, The legendary Wizard of Wax did a full valet of the car on Saturday also got rid of a few surface scratches on the front wings as well as hard to shift deposits on the paintwork. He cleaned the engine bay, I asked him to keep away from specific electrics, the AIC and Fuse Box but I didn't think the water would get into the plug cover...didn't really think, is this common with these when they are jet washed? I'll have to take the cover off and investigate Mark, did you see where it looped the loop on the misfire!! Martin, I'll have to scan them in, I've got the boost and lambda on different graphs but set out the same so they are directly comparable in terms of revs and power output. You can effectively have four printouts possibly more for each run, and then you can have more than one run on the graph. They can also plot tractive effort from which you can take lbs/ft figure. I think mine equated to 475lbs/ft torque although thinking back I'm not sure if that was at the wheels or estimated back to the flywheel. Gavin, Cost was £55+vat and I went away with a wad of paperwork and did three runs. I don't know if they can spend this sort of time per car on a shootout day as strapping the car down and rigging up all the diagnostic equipment to the car etc takes time. All in all a very professional outfit and confidence inspiring to see your car surrounded by Race cars, Porsches/Ferraris and even a GT1! Good luck to them, Regards Nito

Gaz, It's the HKS T04R jobbie. Rgds Nito

Hi Guys, Took the car along to G-Force in Ayelsbury yesterday for a Power Test . You chaps are going to have fun on Saturday for the RR day. Unfortunately I couldn't make Saturday so I went on Wednesday instead. The good news is that their state of the art rolling road allows a shootout mode by which the RR operators cannot tamper with any of the figures or fudge them in any way so that all your results should be pretty much directly comparable to mine as mine has been done in shootout mode too. The RR can also plot lambda and boost curve, against power and revs or road speed. Interesting to see how rich mine was running with the AIC. I even managed to loop the loop on the graph! lol Credit to G-Force, my first time there but the workshop is immaculate and the guys are enthusiastic and extremely helpful. Big thanks to Chris Davies and John Greasley for their time and help and the aussie chap driving the car on the rollers (didn't get his name!). They even put my de-cat pipe back on for me. On the first run the car yielded 407bhp at the rear wheels @1.4bar. The high boost run @1.5bar gave 420bhp at the rear wheels but unfortunately the run was dogged by some misfiring probably due to jet washing the engine bay a couple of days before. Whatever it was it's something to look forward to next time as it'll be higher since the mis-fire screwed up the spooling of the turbo and my boost curve. The most powerful rwd car to grace their rollers is a tuned GT2 Porsche at 443bhp at the wheels so the gauntlet is set. Maybe next time it'll top this!! Good luck to all of you on Sat, should be a fun day and someone might knock the Porsches crown. Autos isn't a problem for those of you who are worried, do UK cars have the manu switch on the auto box?? Mine (auto) was run in second gear with manu locked in and tc off. Also Autos have higher transmission losses than manuals so manuals have the advantage measuring paw figures!! Regards Nito

My j-spec with the center cat only failed the MOT quick test but passed the in depth one. Also despite being a j-spec the chassis no. was recognised by the computer as needing a cat. Hope this helps Rgds Nito

Hey guys, I'm going to attempt a gauge installation this week sometime and wondered if anyone had any hints for the following sender location points. Oil Temp...currently in the sump..is this the best place for it? It seems to make this a pretty low point on the car! Also are there any particularly easy points/recommended to take these off. All senders are 1/8". Fuel Pressure Water temp Regards Nito PS. There may be a Mechanical 60mm Oil temp and Oil press gauges and an elec HKS EGT for sale soon and an Ultra mechanical 52mm boost gauge.
