  1. Have you tried these? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=219807
  2. Can't anyone photoshop the works ones to see how they would look?
  3. I think Bucks does mean Buckinghamshire. There have been some threads regarding Platinum Autos on here mate. I think a lot of members would advise you to approach them with caution. ( i remember reading something about colours not matching etc. ) But they do seem to have quite a few good looking cars for sale. Best to get them checked out first me thinks.
  4. I could sort you out a good price for the spats closer to the time mate. I think Adnanshah had the same colour on his car. Looked great.
  5. Not sure exactly mate. But i would think they were good for bpu levels. Maybe you could start a w58 reliability thread like this one. Or you could try looking for 6 speed. Although i think Keron would be a good person to ask about getting you a manual conversion if you get an auto.
  6. Looks quite good mate. Kit looks good as it is. Just need some top secret spats to finish it off (i've got a spare set that i bought recently which i don't think i need any more . They're the same colour too if you decde not to respray it. ). Also not sure about the dials in the glovebox. But apart from that it looks quite good. I wouldn't worry about the mileage too much if you're going to go na-tt. Just get a low mileage tt lump.
  7. I'd try to avoid the chavvy ones mate. Unless, it's had a lot of expensive bits fitted that outweigh the chavvy bits that is. Have you got a link?
  8. Thanks mate. Haven't tol dmy missus about my conversion yet. I've told her it's going to my mate's garage for a service and a few tuner parts.
  9. Just recieved an e-mail from Paul (Whifbitz) saying they won't be able to start any work on my car until next week.
  10. Will do mate definitely. Might not be as technical as most of the write ups on here, but I will put up plenty of pics . I'll be even more excited once I get my car back. Probably won't stop rambling on about it at every opportunity. I was thinking of going bpu at the same time, but then I figured stock tt power is still quite a lot of an increase from my n/a. (& it's probably a good way of controllin my levels of excitement)
  11. Thanks mate. Getting the conversion done at Whifbitz. Keron's closer to me but all my na-tt parts are at Whifbitz already. I had to source my own parts and am picking up a tt auto box on my way down to the garage on monday.
  12. Thanks bud. Congrats to you too. Baby's due in November. I'm not sure which seat to buy yet, but i still managed to convince her. Can you tell me which one you've found? Saves me looking searching for it. I'll be putting up full details of the conversion once it's done on here. I've never heard of any problems with it bein done before, so fingers crossed i won't be the first.
  13. Good luck with this mate. Sounds just like me. I'm too attached to my car too to sell it and buy a tt. It's not in immaculate condition, but i'm going to get it resprayed soon after i get ny na-tt conversion done (It's going in on monday. ) My missus is also expecting and i've convinced her that a baby seat will easily fit into the back. ...and yes i'm keeping it auto too.
  14. I've seen that ad. It's in a few different places. I contacted te bloke too. He's never given me a phone number, so i can talk to him. He does reply to any e-mails though. His location says he's from London. But the engine etc is in Aberdeen. At first he said he imported engines and parts from Japan. Si asked if he could get the same but for an auto tt. He then told me that he only had this one and it used to belong to his uncle who has died. His uncle bought it for himself to put in his own car. I asked if he could deliver it to me and he said it would cost £40 by courier. Oh and if i waas interested i should pay him by bank transfer first before he would send it out.
  15. Yes. got a manual tt loom and na auto loom and ecu. PM any offers.
  16. I have bought one, so i don't need it any more. Thanks.
  17. I'm going to take the car to Paul's on monday now. So the parts will be available after that.
  18. Got my ecu and loom sorted now mate.
