£390 quid with Adrian Flux. I have more no claims than you and have been driving high performance cars for a long time now years and years. My Insurance is more than yours what type of cover have you got?

My History so far! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=181680 Have many people running 18 inch wheels had to roll their rear arches........argh!!!! My new tyres are catching the inner rear lip on the drivers side so far, heard a tapping noise today whist off up to Paignton this afternoon. Stopped and to my horror a sliver of rubber was hanging off (whipping the arch as I drove along) thanks to a fast hard left hander, the lip had shaved the tyre like a stanley knife! Look forward to hearing everyones opinions and experiences on this one! Thanks for looking!

The black ones do look really nice with the lip shining catching the sun.....you'd have to keep them clean ha I did admire these on one of the cars on the Dorset/Weymouth Meet, was thinking then shame I had already ordered my new wheels lol I do also think the Gold ones look great too, but I think you will get alot more contrast with the black especially if they are kept sparkly...........> Great choice either way!

Jade R Alloys are all made by Team Dynamics. Wheelmania just offered up a wedge to Team Dynamics to make them in the larger sizes and offer exclusivity to them on that basis. Hence they buy them for one price and sell them on, only available from one distributor at a higher cost, henceif you went to Team Dynamics and asked for 19's they would say you can only get them from Wheel Mania. Easy really isn't it! Chuffed to bits with mine took a long time to get here directly manufactured by Team Dynamics, but they are now supplying FORD with their alloys so im affraid we all got to wait longer. (So I have been reliably informed). Hope this helps!

Oil change all done today my supra now has Silkolene slipperiness!!!! Pro S 5w 40x collected in person from Opie Oils........great discount too thanks to being a club member .....I thank you! NB: Oil change was so easy too, I have read that people have had nightmares changing the filter and all, mine was so easy you could have pushed me over ha. Ah what to do next me thinks? Ideas...........>

Ha ........> you noticed! Was wondering how long it would take for someone to spot that, eagle eyed you!!! Yeah I thought the yellow would give it a bit of colour. I think it looks good in the flesh to be honest, but I do reckon the bright colour does detract from the wheels as it draws your eyes to much. Might well go white........> that should look pretty mellow then more classey perhaps I'm thinking.

Hello there.........Welcome In..........>

Well here we go all done by this morning! New wheels 'Team Dynamics Jade R's (Front) 18 x 8.5j & (Rear) 18 x 9.5j' and tyres 'Toyo Proxi's T1R's'. New EBC Redstuff pads all round, and some pretty paint in advance to make sure it looks good too nothing worse than big wheels and a rusty centre hey!! Tried my best with the sun today, had to snap between the clouds. Surprising how it changes the look completely isn't it! Oh guess I can't call it completely stock any more wink wink...........> ha Big Thanks to Carl @ Sorensen Road Sport, Plymouth http://www.sorensenroadsport.co.uk/

I'd say so! They have plenty of room behind them I reckon you would get away with six pots up front as the spokes are bow'ed similair to the Blitz style wheels. Will have to start saving lol

Since posting this thread back along I have now carried out some work on my car. It turns out that the all the brakes had been changed recently in Japan in 2007. The front pads still had 5mm on them, but they were not performing very well at all. I was more than pleased to discover that the car hasn't been driven much since the discs, calipers and pads, probably the main reason why they have degraded plus the pads weren't performance orientated factory spec. Today I have changed the pads alround for EBC RedStuff Carbon Kevelar types, and the difference is remarkible problem solved. These will be be more than adequate I would imagine with the new pads, so virtually all new all round now!!! New wheels and tyres tomorrow, and replacementof the oil too should make for a fun filled day!!! Just hope the sun comes out to play hey. Thanks all for the advice!

Loverly Car JamieP. Do you have a modded VVTI under the hood of that one looks like a newer model? Love the Brembos too..........sweet as.....>

why not go for the tip-tronic best of both worlds in my opinion. Im very very happy with mine, and I came out of an 2000 Mercedes AMG C43 Tip-Tronic. Not disappointed in any way, more surprised than anything at how good it actually in comparison. I drove a six speed before buying mine found it exciting, but could imagine it to be tiresome to live with everyday.

Started to prep up the brakes ready for new rims the weekend, see what you think of my colour choice. Fronts: - Rears: - Will look wicked when its finished, I have more colours to be added yet but will keep these secret for now! Build your anticipation ha........>

....................................................................................... 19pjbsupra97, Yes great contribution thus far, I to be honest you are running along the ideas I have too. Was thinking of building a very strong twin turbo, rather like the twin hks kits perhaps with a stroker too for some extra torque. I will keep an eye on your progress, should make for a very usable car in all aspects! kslb;2352225, Pleased to meet you, wicked ride that one. Did you have to do any additional work over what the earlier engines do to go single. Great looking car, bet it goes really well!!!

Few choice pics at the first services, Pistonheads Cub members I believe: -

Looks much better in my opinion much cleaner and smoother too. Good job!

Thanks Wile e, Sounds like a good idea, but looking at them doesn't look like there will be any problems at all. Loads of clearance, they have quality molded spokes that bow away, not stumpy like some weak wheels needing to retain structural rigidity. Fingers crossed they should be on by Saturday this weekend.

I was going to go for RacingHart CR Gold Centres. I think the shape of Jade wheels will compliment the curves of the car, guess I will have to wait and see on that front. Easy to change though aren't they, never a permanent mod........> The active front is there, never operated it manually comes on at speed on its own.......so haven't even seen it for my own eyes!!! Thanks for the comments.

Toyo Proxies T1R's are the ones I have been recommended completely independantely from the owners club, so great to here you have found them to be good. Tread wise they look great and must disperse the water well with the channels, apparently they are good wearing too, best of all world by the sounds of it. Looks like I will be purchasing some of these then.......> How about sizes whats the general rule for 18's, to keep everything correct rolling radius/ speedo readings etc.... Ideas or experience? I will be looking up the standard spec and then calculating out what the correct sizes should be unless someone can reliably save me the effort wink wink!!!

................................................................................................................................................................................ Some great pictures there guys!!! VVTI information and tuning seems to be very thin on the groud, couldn't hardly find anything on the newer stlye engine when I bought mine! Great to see just for information rather than anything else lots of threads around, but I think the VVTI has more potential just costs more or am I wrong opinions? Please to meet you both by the way......> Pudsey
