I have the REAS System on my Supra, and the ride and comfort levels are really great. Went a little down hill when I fitted the bigger wheels 18's comfort wise as they simple don't ride the bumps as well as a bigger profile tyre. The car does have a great deal of compliance in terms of taking bends at speed, which I find requires a bit more anticipation into the corner to set the car up for the bend. You don't want the car settling into its suspension (until it firms up) while your in the bend, you want to ideally anticipate and get it there to drive threw and accelerate out of the bend. Hope that helps ........

Pudsey replied to p3te's topic in Parts for Sale
I will take the Spats please. Pm has been sent. -
Looking great buddy. Guess you will be laying on plenty of wax soon enough, the colour will really come out and bounce then. Superb.
-
Hi there Rob, Sorry I missed you original message. Yes, my car is completey factory original.
-
Just to confirm you will need spacers on UK Brakes, but only very small ones. These are still for sale, as the previous person doesn't fancy the spacer idea just thought I would confirm that.

Rear Wheel face on: - Front Drivers Side Wheel: - Passanger Side Front: - The scuff that was touched up within minutes of it happening as described: - Same scuff slightly different angle: - Rear Passengers Side Wheel: - The wheels believe it or not are very dirty in these pictures, you can see the brake dust in the up close shots. They are always washed every week if the car is used, and I did treat them with Muck Seal and Coat fluid for easy cleaning inside and out. Last picture of inside the front wheel we took off: - Pretty sure this is beyond the port of call for a for sales add, any questions please ask. I will add the tyre size just need to find the receipt. Right tyre sizes are as follows: - 225/40/R18Z TOT1R (PXT1-R 92Y) 8.5J & 35MM OFFSET - Fronts. 285/30/18Z TOT1R (T1R 97 Y XL) 9.5J & 35MM OFFSET - Rears. That's your lot......

Thanks for the help buddy... I don't personally like spacers myself, but each to there own I guess I am sure a small one like you say isn't going to hurt. Not like 15mm spacers are required is it, which would promote sheer stress on the studs.
-
No problem, I don't like spacers either, and personally wouldn't run them either. So any J spec brake owners out there....... Well spotted in the picture reference the pin, eagle eyes indeed. Not sure if he is working on the brakes, I know he isn't driving it as its been off the road doing a Supercharger conversion for a good number of months. Thanks for the heads up though......

Bloody hell that is a good price indeed. My wheels are brand new vitually, and the tyres done roughly 3,000 steady miles. I keep my car in a garage and its a second car to me, and it doesn't come out in the rain at all. All winter it has sat under cover. If I can't sell them for £650, I will just keep them irrespective as a nice set of spares. Already secured the £650, but that was if they cleared UK brakes........ which the following pictures will show they do. BUT......its so tight I would not advise running these with UK Brakes, too dangerous in my opinion. You would need a 5 mm spacer for the front to easily clear, I will post up the pictures but it may take some time. I must also add that i CAN'T let these go until next weekend, replacements on there way. Okay with the help of BarneyBrendans fair hand........ Wheel on with UK brake Calipers: - Like I say 5 mm spacers I reckon for sure. Drivers side view of down the car: - From the front Drivers side: - The passenger side front: - Missed the rear passenger side or camera didnt pick it up, sure I took it......oh well Onto Tyres then: - Front wheel tyre tread: -

I will answer all of your questions this evening, about to go and test the wheels out and take the photos you all require.......good thing the sun is out and its dry. As my car is garaged, and doesn't get used if its wet.
-
That's a very good price indeed. I would suggest you share your details with your fellow club members, so the people who are looking for a set and get a great deal too. You know club spirt and all.

SOLD. Hello everyone. I have decided to put my wheels up for sale as I may return to the original factory wheels. These wheels were bought brand new by myself less than 7 months ago, and purchased from Team Dynamics themselves. Team Dynamics are the manufacturers of these wheels for your information, as I know there is alot of confusion regarding who makes them. Any way I paid exactly........ £648.60 for the wheels. £713.70 (Receipt - 25/04/2009), covering roughly 3,000 miles only garaged in the winter never used in the wet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ £31.72 for a set of Tri Lock Thatham approved specific angled locking nut set too. (Not Included and neither is the wheel nut set apologies, but now required for new wheels, SORRY!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wheels all balanced correctly with stick on inside wheel weights too, and sealed from new with MUC OFF Silica Wheel Seal. So thats £1,394.02 this wheel and tyre set cost me. I bought the tyres separate, so no dodgy cheap wheel and tyre package here my friends. If you are thinking about buying some then your really better off buying these, as decent tyres will cost you a fortune. 2 x Front Team Dynamic Jade R's 18 x 8.5 Offset 35 (The front left N/S wheel has a very slight graze where I was trying to move the car close to a petrol pump to stretch the fuel line over as you do, just as I turned the wheel to the left and nudged forward to square up it rubbed the high fuel court curb. This was immediately repainted and you cant even hardly see it, will take a photo for you). 2 x Rear Team Dynamic Jade R's 18 x 9.5 Offset 35 Tyre sizes are as follows: - 225/40/R18Z TOT1R (PXT1-R 92Y) 8.5J & 35MM OFFSET - Fronts. 285/30/18Z TOT1R (T1R 97 Y XL) 9.5J & 35MM OFFSET - Rears. Offset is perfect for the supra, and gives a nice agressive look with no rubbing at all. The wheels are excellent as new condition (other than the mark described above) and are very light too, they are very well manufactured and come with all the centre caps too. Tyres are specific to the car. Toyo T1R's a really good tyre with loads of tread left on them. If I cannot get this money for them, I will just keep them for spares. I would prefer the buyer to collect as they will weigh a fair bit with tyres on them, and I wouldn't want them to get bashed. Will sell the lot for £600. (See 'most recent post' Nut Set not included). I must also add that I CAN'T let these go until next weekend, replacements on there way. If the buyer would like them to be posted then thats on top at your cost. Link to thread when I original got them too: - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=181680&page=9 Many Thanks for looking. Pudsey

The magic moment is getting ever closer....... Great to hear that it turned over all okay, you have done a good job on the intake pipe in the end. Bet you can't wait...
-
Brilliant to hear such great news Lee.... I know its been a long hard slog for you, but we are all glad that you managed to achieve your end goal. Many happy years of fun motoring here we come, my fingers are crossed for you. Ryan certainly sounds like he has cracked it great work, all we now need is for him to sort out the auto tipronic boys on VVT-i ....................and everyones a winner.
-
A VVT-i has a Knock sensor, so it will continual adjust the the ignition timing. Obviously if you push it so far outside of its limits then it will go bang eventually, your always best running higher octane. That's if the petrol suppliers aren't just ripping us off of course, who would know if it wasn't 97 or 98 ron.
-
Happy Bithday buddy........hope your keeping well.
-
I will take them please buddy......PM sent.
-
Might come in useful this...... Considering the pending site review and all.

Funnily enough a little one of these was giving it a go earlier this evening, pushed on a small tad and could tell he was going out of his way to catch up as quick as possible. Here we go got a little wasp flying around anoying me I thought. Just going along nice and easy up to the next set of lights, pulled away nicely as you do, and yep right on my bumper again. Slowely applied about quarter throttle, and was easily toasted. Didn't try though, but to be honest it didn't take the little bugger much time at all to catch up ha..... Fast little bean cans the old saxo vts/ vtrs....
-
Haven't checked in a good while, and I am certainly impressed with your progress. The car looks simply superb, can't wait to see this in real life. Absolutely loving the TRD Kit, and I think that the boxs are simply the biggests card board boxes I have ever seen. Great work....... you should be very very pleased. PS. Those wheels are amazing too, do they have a Stainless Dish/ Lip?
-
Nightmare you snapped the belt buddy, it must have been a real struggle to snap that as it was mega beefy too. Looking great with the intake all on gives a great idea of how it will look finished now.
