  1. Yes, aware Dnk restored an older one, will certainly have an idea on build quality. Yes, you do read a lot of that from people who have had issues. Um gearbox and suspension doesn’t sound great does it. Glad to hear the Dealer did the right thing by them though, but never to return doesn’t sound good either does it. Ha yeah, you fully get my drift becoming horrible driving about, dodging every bump, hole, canyon in most cases. Definitely, not looking for a nightmare. Called about the one I have seen, very nice gentleman. He owned it for 18 months, and spent North of 4 thousand pounds on brake lines, brakes, servicing etc. I think it will have to remain a pipe dream sadly. Must stop looking at Autotrader. (NB: The car is provisionally sold pending MOT pass next Tuesday, and collection Thursday. Obviously, not meant to be this one).
  2. Really like what you have done. Looks awesome on those wheels, you must be made up with the outcome. Also good to see you found a solution to your intermittent problem, and shared the outcome just as importantly. Great work.
  3. Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Not sure what is wrong with me, but I keep coming back to old Range Rovers. Guess I am just getting old, but with the roads getting ever worse I am really hankering after some affordable comfort. Are my thoughts misjudged? Seen one I like its at 123k miles, full history, money spent on maintenance, 4 owners. What do we think any good or best avoided at all costs? Many Thanks
  4. Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening, I have searched, but can’t seem to find a definitive answer, so thought someone may know. I have been looking at a set for a while, know they are a bit marmite, but I am more into comfort and something a bit different. The set I am looking at are: - 17 inch staggered fitment. 8J Front ET35 9J Rear ET38 I know the offset works, and the widths are a bit on the lame side, but will they clear a UK Brake setup? Answers on a postcard really would be appreciated. Many Thanks
  5. Hey there Harry, Great to see some pictures, always good to see something a bit different.
  6. Real shame this..... was a shock to see it.
  7. Maybe they want them written off to try and get people to buy the new bmw version. Surely this is just an early April fools
  8. That’s interesting. Didn’t realise they were made in such low numbers. I imagine over time the numbers remaining are even smaller perhaps.
  9. You could reverse stick some sticky duct tape around a stumpy bit of wood. Bit like a match stick would be in appearance. You will get your hand in, and dab the sticky end onto the wrench. Bring it up slowly, and I am sure you’ll get it out.
  10. That's great to hear, always interested in people's opinions of the swap/ comparison. Especially where you gone from stock to small turbo too. Crazy the amount of work that must have gone into the oem design, that must have been like it didn't want to be removed ha. Best of luck with any future plans.
  11. Great to see you got it all up and running. You must be made up completing nearly all the work yourself. Comparing the drive to stock, do you think it’s changed it a lot normal drivability wise?
  12. Great to see you back in a Supra again. Loving the 3 door Cosworth, and green touches on the GTR.

Christ what a difference. The factory white looks super crisp, awesome job by the looks of it. You must be super happy with the outcome.
  14. Hi Mike, Just to say thanks for the parts I purchased. Arrived in great time, packaged well, and super happy. Cheers (PS: There is no feedback process now, just found out).
  15. Ha the relief hey. Glad that's what it was in the end.
  16. If its an auto might be worth moving the gear lever selector. Just to make sure the isolation switch isn't stuck. If it thinks it's in gear it won't allow you to start it, and you will get a click and nothing like you describe. Worth a check.

Looks like a great job in a difficult fiddly location. I bet you felt much better about it, once you saw the bad bits cut out.

Ha forgot about that one, you don’t see them around much anymore. Certainly looking forward to the rest of the updates, and I am sure plenty will have a quick check of these potential areas of concern.

I have to be honest. When I saw the ‘foam and T Cut’ I thought you were being serious as it already looked like a fair amount of rust in the sills. Now seeing the roof, that’s quite shocking I’d say. Do you think it’s been previously repaired, received a rear quarter, and sat with water rusting it out over time by not refitting the wiring rubbers properly. I know the rubbers can wear through the paint over time, but that’s right in the roof judging by pictures. Either way top effort for taking it on, and making speedy progress by the looks of things. It would be great if the repairer could get some pictures of the eventual findings, and then final repair as a before and after. Also look forward to the wheel refurb.
