  1. Best of luck for the mapping. Wheels look really nice, can't wait to see them on.
  2. I am pretty sure you are looking at the UK Supra's. The japanese imports will not be in the database, as they were never sold in this country. It will pull up a UK Supra 2JZ GTE, but the japanese import is not the same. Different turbos, injectors, no EGR to name a few of the differences an import has. I am sure an expert will be along shortly.
  3. This seems to be a continual problem. My understanding is this. If a vehicle can't be exactly matched in the emissions database, then a non cat test should be performed. This is the case for vehicles from 1st August 1992 to 31st July 1995. For vehicles registered between 1st August 1995 to 31st August 2002 - same although use default limits. There is a flow diagram, and it simply will direct you to the test to carry out. http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/m4s07000309.htm UK Supra's will be in the database, and Japanese imports will not. If an exact match cannot be determined by serial number, vin detail, engine number etc etc, a none catalytic convertor test should be performed or one within default limits based on year of manufacture.
  4. Just been through your build thread, which has been excellent really enjoyed the read/ photos. Brilliant attention to detail, and will look forward to the further developments. You will never want to take it outside
  5. Hi all, Please find a link to a feature about two Tamon designs supra's below. http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/05/tamon-design-supras/ I guess they mainly have some specific aerodynamic advantages for racing, and appreciate the work that must have gone into making the kit. But oh my god are they bloody awfully ugly or what.
  6. Loving the colour, looks brilliant. Carbon trim bits go really well with it too.
  7. Your car looks fantastic. I had a peek at your build on Supraforums, attention to detail is truely awesome. It must have taken you a very long time to document everything like you have, really look forward to looking through it more thoroughly in the future. Carbon front lip is very nice indeed, keep up the excellent work. Nb. Great to see a big power auto too, makes a change to the norm.
  8. I can't wait till the day I go single. The rate the technology has pushed the boundaries of this tech is awesome. I will end up with something state of the art at this rate.
  9. That's pretty awesome, so we know the car is probably this one then. Yeah, I was thinking the same. Strange there were no public pictures at the time, last one off the line etc.
  10. Hi all, Might seem like a really silly question, and am sure it must have been asked before. But still. Does anyone have any details on the last supra ever made? Did Toyota do anything special for the last one? Does anyone know where the final production model went? We may find the answers not to be that interesting, but I was just wondering if anyone knew. Nb - Really nice write up by speedhunters here. http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/01/the-eternal-supra-refining-an-icon/
  11. That's a great introduction. Everyone loves pictures, and sounds like you have picked up a nice car to tinker with. I am sure it won't take long to get it how you would like, remember most of the fun is in the journey. Look forward to updates.
  12. Some excellent work, and super attention to detail too. Looks really nice and tidy, and the new colour looks brilliant. I bet you can't wait to see it finished from the body shop.

oh they look good. My favourite colour purple, followed closely by yellow.
  14. You don't see many orange ones about. Looks really nice with it too. Congratulations on the purchase, I am sure you will enjoy it.
  15. Impressive build - I missed this one too. That's a lot of money going into the parts for the front end, looks great. Look forward to following your progress, and really like the tail pipe silencer vivid colours. Pretty damn special that
  16. Looks like you all had a safe and sound weekend. Seemed like the tunnel went on for ages, quiet an experience driving through that one.
  17. Great update - red really does look superb. Lovely looking whoofy too.
  18. Awesome - look forward to seeing them on.
  19. That's such a well written description considering the terror you both must have been through. Certainly an eye opener as to what can happen in a split second. Just glad you both made it out of the other side, and fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for Ben. You both deserve to chill out for quite some time.
  20. Hi there, I have a genuine factory oem lambda sensor available. Its come off my car as I have replaced with new as part of servicing. Nothing wrong with it, and my car has done a genuine 48k from new 2002. Now Sold. Cheers Pics on route.
  21. If you have had the steering wheel off. Have you checked the plug is snapped into place properly when refitting. Did the car have the problem before you changed the dash/ cluster?
  22. Sad to see this. At least no one was seriously injuryed judging by the responses, certainly a heart breaker. Wish you well with your recovery, that's all that really matters.
  23. Interesting stuff Scott, Thanks for the reply, I can see alot of effort went into that explaination. I always drive like a granny anyway, but certainly sounds really effective and interesting too.
  24. Interesting read. Although, surely its the pressure on the ceramic turbine blades, that's the biggest risk? I was under the impression that anything above 1.2 bar no matter what the rpm is, is moving beyond the recomended safe limit of the materials used in the OEM exhaust turbine construction. Obviously I am eluding to the JSPEC only. Certainly interesting though, if your theory is correct.
