  1. Excellent write up on the work completed. Personally never knew about those type of checks, and I'm on my second one now. Great share
  2. Looking forward to this. Best wishes for the build, I am sure it will all come together nicely. Fingers crossed we get plenty of pictures, updates as the work takes place.
  3. The chap sold the car in post 6 above. Think that says it all really.
  4. I wasnt going to elaborate on it for fear of making things worse, but reading you have already been for tests etc. My cousin was taken into hospital with a black out, happened out of the blue. They did all the tests under the sun, discharged him saying nothing was wrong, and on the way home came over feeling funny as a passenger driven by his wife. He said just get me home I will be fine, his wife made a split second decision to take him back to the hospital. They got him in the door at the hospital, and he passed out. They then detected an abnormality with his heart beat, which wasnt evident before. Fitted a pace maker as an emergency, and later advised..... If he was not brought back that evening, he probably wouldn't have survived the incident. Lucky was an understatement
  5. Often brought on through stress. Although, my advice would be get a thorough check up carried out at the doctors. It will certainly help to put your mind at rest.

    BMW help req

My car has the old style, and its a 6 speed auto (Steptronic) with paddle shift. A friend of mine has a 2010 5 series with the newer shifter, and that's an 8 speed option (Dual Clutch Transmission). It may well be the number of speeds, along with the type of automatic box. NB. After a little research. The older style one is a steptonic, and the new one is a dual clutch transmission. As the gents have mentioned above.
  7. Could possibly be fuel pressure related. The aem is sensing very little fuel is being burnt, so much so it's going off the scale lean. Obviously, then you have all the normal, spark and ignition related probable causes.

Hi Lee, Your inbox is full
  9. Brilliant effort indeed as three years in the making isn't easy. Looks great, sounds great, I am sure you will be very happy indeed.
  10. Top effort Darren. Must have been a very tiring weekend for you, but made all the more worth it raising money for a great cause.
  11. Looks great that. I especially like the way the stitch lines have flowed across the contours. Top job indeed.
  12. Cricky he's gone so soon. That didn't take long
  13. Dreadful news. What's this world coming too, quiet unbelievable to be honest. I would recommend taking the seats out, laying on your back with some smooth shaped on the sole shoes. Very gentle press out the dent, maybe use a mirror to see what your doing placed to view the pressure being applied. It might well pay to gently heat the area first with a hand gun, to avoid any of the paint cracking on any sharp edges. See how it comes out, and then access if a filler skim, shape, and repaint is required. Going to be expensive to paint the whole roof, and blend it properly with the sides unfortunately. Very best of luck with sorting it out though - anyone's worst nightmare. NB. Thinking a little more about it, may be best to use some thin plywood that will bend to the shape of the roof as you try to press it out. Roof lining will need to come out though.
  14. No worries. I had a good search last night, but information other than above seems a little thin on the ground. I am sure you will manage to sort it.
  15. http://www.troublecodes.net/toyota/ This may or may not be beneficial. None if the codes you have mentioned seem to appear on the list, but obd2 does have more numbers per code. I hope you manage to correct the issue. NB. You may also find this helpful. http://www.turbosupras.com/pdfs/JZA80%20TSRM/DI.pdf From page 156 onwards details the gte engine, and the fault codes for obd2.
  16. Looks like it has the wrong wheels on the back. Just seem to be way to far inbound. Cheap though.
  17. I dont normally comment on threads like this, but this may help the community. http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee483/kdsdetailing/Detailing/Toyota/Supra%20L11MGU/After%20outside/IMG_6887.jpg Judging by this picture the registration is L11 MGU. Comes back as Red Toyota 3000cc. Registration date 28th Sept 1994. Taxed till April 2016 MOT'D till 28 March 2016 I am sure the eagle eyed out there would have already uncovered this though, from the detailing thread. Best of luck with sale.
  18. That's that theory out then. Seems very difficult to tell, unless your paying top end from a reputable source. I personally wouldn't chance it, when it comes to safety.
  19. http://www.nengun.com/rays/formula-nut-set Just looked these up on nengun. Appear not to have the double writing on them, where yours do.
  20. Looks really nice. Sorry to hear about the job situation, that's a real bummer indeed. I am sure something will pop up soon enough.
  21. I have one of these available. I did receive a PM from Marty, but he hasn't got back to me since? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?322729-Facelift-vvt-i-Denso-OEM-Lambda-sensor&highlight=Vvt-I+lambda Update - Now Sold Payment received - Thank You.
  22. I have a 2008 plate 335d. The performance is unbelievable, and with 4 wheel drive in the newer version should be something else. I am sure you will be very happy indeed.
