  1. Many happy returns. Hope you had a good day
  2. The supra does gather dirts in those areas, even worse if you run without wheel liners. The front wing needs unbolting from underneath and cleaning now and again, likewise the rear areas gather the same dirt/ dust/ mud rusting the rear quarter and vertical seams. When the car gets wet the gathered dirt gets saturated is in constant contact with the body, and will if never cleaned will probably end up like that I would imagine. Nice. Cleaning, treating, underseal with wax oil, additional wax oil coatings are your friends. The average Joe who just uses a car as a car probably never ever thinks about doing these type of things, and nearly all rely on the annual mot for peace of mind. As the supra seems to fair well during annual inspections, it could be many years for things to accumulate.
  3. Not sure what the vacuum pipe is for, but I have exactly the same on mine. It's not connected either exactly as per your picture.
  4. Some great pictures. Turn out is on the up now the weather is improving
  5. Ah the magic 7 speed Getrag. Kinda seems authentic to the car in a strange way. Great build
  6. Just out of interest how does a vvti 6 speed work, is that a drive by wire set up? Just wondering if the vvti tiptronic gearbox control is an add on to the manual system. I know you changed your setup for good reason to eradicate the oem dbw, add cruise etc, which is something the car definitely needs for long journeys. Just thinking if other owners could swap to the vvti 6 speed throttle set up, and leave the automatic gearbox control in place to run the gearbox. After all a vvti 6 speed with a single conversion on a Syvecs must work alright with no issues.
  7. Are you talking about the car that was in Ireland? A 1996 RSP Twin Turbo 6 Speed. It was advertised on the autotrader for a while, and they changed the wheels a few times. That one was priced as £14.5k as a fresh import, if I remember rightly. Had an additional large aftermarket tachograph on the left of the dash.
  8. Bit of a shocker then really for you. Sorry to hear the situation as you know I have been keenly following progress, and like you thought the way ahead had been developed/ trialed/ resolved. Fingers crossed the team manage to develop the plug and play solution, as im pretty sure there is a good market for it. I will keep my eyes peeled for progress updates in the mean time.
  9. That's alright. Shame as I could of delivered them to you too. Hope you manage to find some
  10. I have an exhaust system available. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?331303-HKS-Carbon-Titainuim-Exhaust-System
  11. I have a set of wheels that may be of interest. They are excellent condition with excellent tyres, but the fronts need a spacer. Spacer is included. I will copy in the link. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?321815-Rare-AZEV-A-Alloy-Wheels-by-Borbet-with-Excellent-Tyres&highlight=Azev+alloys
  12. Excellent, to be honest i very rarely see any supra's around this way, so was refreshing to see a nice looking aerotop.
  13. Great to see your getting along with starting the work. That axle stand looks really close to edge to me, you really need that on the chassis either side. Better to be safe, rather than sorry.
  14. Heading towards Marsh Mills roundabout today at 1413 hrs, just by Sainsbury's ish. Seen a silver aero top with black bonnet vents. Looked really tidy with aftermarket wheels, with black centres. Never seen this one before. Too far away to get any sort of reg detail, but you will know who you are
  15. Great to see the car being taken on. Should make for a great project with plenty of time consuming work already completed. Best of luck with it.
  16. Welcome Nice looking supra in white you have there, always great to see a few pictures. Quiet a bit of snow in that last picture, must be entertaining round your way.
  17. Just been back through your build thread, and its surprising how much you have managed to achieve. Looking forward to the development with the new kit, and your view compared to the old twins. I think once you get the manifold sorted out, you will see a massive difference with drivability. Keep up the good work.
  18. Congratulations on getting everything bolted together and drivable. Look forward to the forthcoming updates once mapped up.
  19. It's a knuckle. You need to use flat faced sockets (6 point) or you will bugger up the nuts (using a 12 point). Long ones, so they reach over the studs. https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQSFT0HRjMzedVhZciHEekqY4voqdCuxDgyER9HQFKLsayJ-M-n
  20. Excellent some great leg work thats already been done then. I seem to remember reading the box has extra 'plates' in it. This is a good source of information too. http://www.kaizenmotorsports.com/blogs/news/16740952-the-1jz-2jz-gte-vvti-system Lots of sections within it.
  21. Can i gain access to the club http://www.2jzgarage.com/2012/02/2jzgte-vvti-information/ Some good information here on the vvti variation. Some pictures here. http://www.2jzgarage.com/2013/04/vvti-pictures My understanding is the A340-E is unique to the vvti tiptronic supra, and is different internally to any of the other auto boxes. I read something about it somewhere only a few evenings ago.
  22. Well done on getting to your final position. A lot of time effort and money spent I bet, it certainly does look much better with than the before picture. Top job
  23. Cricky missed this thread completely. Brilliant work with the gtr, simply stunning performance and it looks great too. Can't believe you have a lambo
  24. That sounds awesome. Hopefully with the gearbox cooler and some semi sympathetic driving it should last just fine. More than ample power with quick response I'd say
