  1. Thanks buddy just thought I would comment as learnt through experience. My LM20's also cleared my UK's no problem, but the arches and coilovers were a necessity with 10.5j front and 11.5j rears. Granted I think from memory I had a 285 front tyre, and 305 rear. I would of bought these, but there is no way I'm bending up my body work again. Good luck, I found mirroring polishing, and then poor boys wheel sealent works wonders to prevent the finish on the polished versions and your hard work being wasted. Granted I did read Turtleshead became tired of the maintainence too.
  2. Probably worth mentioning. I very much doubt these will fit unless you have coilovers, as the ones I had were slightly bigger but definitely wouldn't fit without them. Did yours go on and clear the arches. UK Brake clearance can be an issue to with some of their wheels. All questions and answers people really should be aware of really. I'm sure the op will update
  3. If you have managed to get through all of that, then I'm sure your dreams of driving a supra again will come true. All the very best with everything, that goes without saying
  4. I also have to fully agree with that one, cup of tea and beans on toast and I'm a happy man Sounds awesome, I'm glad you managed to actually do something that improves other people's happiness while also improving yours. Good stuff indeed Ha I like that. Glad you have found it an interesting read so far, and as a side I to have found myself head of the family at a young age too. So perhaps this brings us to thinking more about our situations or just general pondering more than the average Joe.
  5. Thank batman for that, but obviously sorry to hear your disappointment. That's about £35 more than I paid, so much of a muchness. Bloody insurance companies bain of everyone's lives.
  6. I potentially will have a mint set of fabric pre facelift seats, and a mint set of very nice 19's with a dish available. I hadn't really thought about selling, but money talks and all that. What's your budget? I would only entertain collection only.
  7. Excellent to see you managed to be represented in the video. I got to be honest though after watching the video I hate that extreme wheel slammed bent over look. Just looks bloody dangerous in my opinion. Great choice on the colour of your car to, one of my favourite colours purple
  8. Just caught up on the progress. What a great job you have done on saving the car from certain death. Makes a lovely turbo chatter sound
  9. Now looking very nice, quiet how you haven't kept on top of it though owning such a nice car. But assume it may have been stood unloved etc. Either way don't be shy of keeping it clean in the future
  10. Congratulations on the purchase. Always a great feeling waking up knowing you have a new car outside. Hope you enjoy it
  11. I kinda had a feeling my post may spark some emotional responses, but didn't really expect to hear the trials, tribulations, and down right hard times so many have experienced. Just goes to show everyone's got a story worth telling, I just hope other people have maybe also found it as useful as me to perhaps reinvigorate, renew the lust for those forgotten passions people once had. The sun shall be shining tomorrow me thinks
  12. Yes exactly, the million dollar answer to the question I guess. Another great one Mark, I like your philosophy made me laugh Again very good post that, I personally don't compare myself, but many do to there detriment eventually tends to breed either ultimate success for the very few, or disaster for the majority of never being content. Yes, that's not a very nice condition to be cursed with, and you definitely need some help to eventually cure the occurrences. Cricky that is a very difficult time you have both been through, both of you families to I would imagine. Glad things are getting better though, and there was an eventual silver lining to the situation. Well to some degree.
  13. Thats alright buddy. 'No thanks' was your reply, so I couldn't read any more into it then that. I sold a set for £40 or probably less, but guess prices have gone up now. No offence taken, and best of luck with your plans.
  14. I kinda knew I wouldn't be on my own, but just wondered what people were doing for inspiration to improve situations. Talking about things helps without a shadow of a doubt. Sounds very much like you have had a very tough time, and you want to look after yourself buddy. Your not alone Ha yeah, I can imagine your ass barely gets to touch a seat before you have to get back up.
  15. Yeah just when you think it can't get any worse, someone else kicks you in the balls just for good measure. Again awful set of circumstances, but I am sure you will pull through it. Some great advice provided there buddy. I hope the next few months turn out to be better than the last for you
  16. Congratulations on the little one, I bet that's a life changer in itself. I was more thinking it's funny where we all end up, even though I am sure we all had or have grand plans. Yes quiet agree you simply got to be happy in your own skin, as no one else's will fit properly
  17. Sounds like one way of dealing with things life throws your way, excellent if it works for you Sounds like your doing all the right things to me, and I like the last line you wrote never heard that one before. That really sucks indeed, and can appreciate how the happiest time of your life has turned out to be very difficult although rewarding all the same. It's great that you have managed to adapt, and they do say gaining enjoyment from what you do in work really makes a huge difference. I guess us guys aren't great at talking about things most of the time. Some great replies gents
  18. Cheers buddy, I'm sure I will be alright, a lot of people worse off than me in life. Just one of those wet, rainy days, when i can do nothing other than spend the day lying down looking out the window. Not after sympathy at all, just wondered if other people often reflect on where life's heading with any serious thought. Everyone's always so busy these days, and the important things in life maybe get over looked as your washed along with everyday life.
  19. Pm'd regarding facelift indicators. Cheers Offer declined
  20. Thanks ladies and gents, I just wondered if anyone else was thinking about the type of things. I think I will set my first challenge as being able to tie my shoe laces again
  21. Hi and welcome, Great pictures, and nice wheels they suit the car nicely. I like the key dash rub protector, nice little idea that.
  22. Yes, big believer in a positive mental attitude, and all the fluff that goes with it. Reality checks are a great way to achieving prospective, as I recently met some very unfortunate people in hospital recently.
  23. Interesting indeed. I worked in Torquay for over 12 months on a project, commuting daily and know the area well. Obviously never ventured down ever conceivable street, but never have I seen a supra in all my time of being there or around the area. Intregging.
  24. Hi all, After sustaining a nasty yet unknown injury in work, I find myself pondering life in general this morning. My aspirations growing up, interests, what I have achieved, and where ultimately life is leading me. I have always had high expectations, desires to do great things, but already find that life has perhaps eroded my enthusiasm. Maybe eroded is the wrong termanology, but general life has clouded my once absolute focus on progression and achievement. This may sound deep to some, but just thought I would put it out there and perhaps revive other people's forgotten goals in life. After all as far as anyone knows to date, we are only around once and need to make things count. Thoughts, experiences, general feelings anyone?
