  1. Hi there, Ideally looking for : - 1 x Pair of 'OEM Side Pods' in 040 (Super White 2), standard oem colour. Must be in excellent condition. Many Thanks
  2. You got to watch some of the stuff you download too. I have an sd card problem and some photos that need recovery, but like you are finding it's a nightmare to resolve. Certainly be interested to see how you manage to secure your video.
  3. N2** UBU - Plymouth Gunmetal? 2045 hrs - Not very often see a Supra in Plymouth. I think it was an na
  4. How's things going? Everything now sorted ?
  5. Loving those. If you decide to sell them though give me a shout
  6. Excellent pictures and some good video. But what's going on with the Defi Rev counter? Doesn't seem to be very accurate judging by lite in to the engine revs, and the speed of the car with no wheel spin. It's off the scale. Love what you have done with the car though, and congratulations on the feature success.
  7. Sounds like a good project, looking forward to this. I know you are asking for part numbers, which I don't have unfortunately. I do know though that you need the parts that come from a 1991 Toyota Soarer 1UZ-FE. As I'm sure you are aware the 3UZ, is the final incarnation of the original 1UZ-FE. http://dustrunnersauto.com/3uzfe/ A soarer 1UZ-FE as mentioned above will go straight in, later engines aren't as strong as the earliest version, and will require sump engine mount changes etc. Look forward to the project thread Some gearbox info here too: - http://www.lextreme.com/1uzfe_info.html Manual transmission section.
  8. Not seen any of those yet, so many hours of things to look forward too. Done these since posting: - Stingray corvette, Z06, and McLaren, Plymouth Barrcudda, Chevrolet Hell Cat. Really like the way Jay talks to the owners, and the way they do the reviews.
  9. Yeah, superb. Certainly not seen any of those yet. The bugatti one was great too with the super sport.
  10. Hey there, I am a massive car guy, as we all probably are hence owning loving a particular car ourselves. I only recently saw Jay Leno Garage on the TV, and then searched it out on youtube. If anyone else loves cars and hasn't ever come across it before, I highly recommended you watch some of the videos. They are brilliant, especially so far the classic mini at boneville, koingnesg, paghani, introduced and discussed with founders of the small companies. Simply inspirational, and makes me wish I continued my persuite of becoming a vehicle designer. Just thought I'd drop this in, as I have really missed out up until now

    Car keeps stoping

Could well be a alternator problem. If your car isn't getting the correct battery voltage, it could well die as you describe.
  12. Welcome in . I am sure plenty of people will be very much looking forward to following your progress. Quiet a few people see your car as the holly grail, emerald green aero top. Everyone loves pictures and updates, so certainly don't be shy. Good luck with your plans PS. Very cool your in Japan still flying the Supra flag.
  13. Would be great to see an update. I'm also interested in what exhaust manifolds you used, and whether you went aftermarket or not. The 1uz-fe can be extremely restrictive, so I have read.
  14. As you say it's good to bring it back to the facts of situation. If the bearings were giving just enough clearance all may have been well, but when the boost rpm and temperatures raised 'may' have been enough to bring the tolerances into interference. I may be wrong, but if the tolerances closed to such an extent that contact was made it would cause the bearing damage, metal filings, low oil pressure, and perhaps an overheat. I know there is a lot of 'may' and 'perhaps', but that is what could of caused it. As I was trying to say really as was others, it could be anything, but what I have explained provides a root cause that could have caused what's happend. Trouble is disproving it, like all the other scenarios.
  15. The trouble is in my opinion you will never get to the bottom of it. It could be as simple as the main cap bearings were to tight a tolerance, heat always makes things tighter not loser. The bearings could well have picked up, which directly will effect the oil pressure of the engine. Low oil pressure, and subsequently damage etc. I think this will go on forever unless you draw a line under it, sorry the way it's turned out Luiz. Get yourself on to bigger and better things
  16. Funnily enough I saw two Ferrari's today.
  17. Hey there ladies and gents, I have just been looking at some American car sales reviews, on youtube. I noticed that the engines out of the two videos I saw both had snorkels, attached to the lefthand side of the engines as per the uk cars. None of the cars had the uk bonnet scoop, but just wondered why they would have them fitted. Another thing I noticed was the passenger door 'right side' had an additional button next to the window switch. Just wondered if anyone else had ever noticed this Links to video added: -
  18. I have an E39 3.0d 2002, and delivers 43 mpg all the time no matter what. I also have a 335d 2008, deliverers 36-7 all the time, but slightly better on long distance trips. 335d Performance is day and night difference, probably faster than my supra in my opinion. The E39 is an amazing car, solid, reliable, classic almost, and so far I have never driven a another bmw to match it. Both of mine are as immaculate and we'll cared for 1 owner, 2 owner from new, and I have always kept on top of all servicing etc on the button. Never had anything go wrong with them, but they aren't 50 mpg jobs. Difficult one, but I would try and avoid depreciation if you can Nb: The 3.0d BMW engine won best engine for years and years, and if serviced correctly will last a very long time. I believe even all the new 3.0d engines are derived from the original first released, just the tech and bolt ons are different. Great engines, I'd never buy a 2.0.
  19. Nice and rare colour combination that. Best of luck with sale And everything else with the move too, sounds like a lovely adventure.
  20. Very good read guys, been away for a sort while. I'm sure plenty are finding this useful
  21. I tell you what they are proper rubbish, spent another 20 minutes of my life today on the phone. My no claims bonus confirmed in writing was promised, and apparently foot noted on my policy expiry to be sent out 04/09/2016. Now 7 days passed still no letter, and rang up and no record of it at all. They tell you what you want to hear to get your business, when it ultimately comes down to small details they are a failure. It's happend to many times for me with them. Now apparently they are waiting on the insurer to issue it as they can't as they are just a broker, taking your money for a rubbish service. I will update once it arrives, put it this way I better not need to ring for a third time after previously checking. Update - 28/09/2016. After a total of 24 days. An email has been received today with my attached 17 years NCB. SKY did say they would need to request the bonus through the actual insurer, as a broker they don't do it themselves. Just glad this finally arrived. Very happy now, and i have sent my thanks to the advisor who completed the work/ chasing on my behalf.
