  1. I agree. These will be added as soon as I get a chance. - - - Updated - - - Thanks mate, very nice of you to say so. As you say, not an easy decision but she has to go!
  2. It is with great sadness I must advertise my Supra for sale. I have owned this car for nearly seven years and it has been a lot of fun! I’ve made friends, seen parts of the world and learnt many things that I wouldn’t have without the car. It will be a great shame to see it go. This has been a much loved car but now it must move on to fund bigger and better things! Spec as follows... Basics Toyota Supra RZ Twin Turbo, 6 speed, with BPU modifications First Registered October 1996 Mileage approximately 54,000 Odometer reads 65,726 (may increase slightly before sale) However this was converted from km/h to mph upon import at 30,045km (as close as I can establish) 30,045 km = 18,669 miles (at point of import) 65,726 – 30,045 = 35,681 miles (since import) 18,669 + 35,681 = 54,350 (true total mileage) MOT until 10th January 2018 Service History I have the full service history of the car back to the point of import. I also have some Japanese documents I cannot understand, although I believe these are manuals and brochures rather than history. During my ownership, the car has always been serviced by SRD who, as we all know, are well versed in the art of looking after Supras! It was last serviced in February 2017. Xquisite have also worked on mplavery’s yellow Supra and Jamesy’s Do-Luck Supra to name a couple of well known cars. You can find the build thread here! It turns heads everywhere I drive it and it puts a smile on my face when I drive past shiny shop windows! Bad Bits There are a few bits I’m less happy with, which I should mention now... Suspension knocks from rear. It has done this since I bought the car and continues despite having replaced the coilovers. It has not deteriorated. Air conditioning leaks from somewhere. It’s external so it doesn’t leak into the car, but it doesn’t stay cold very long. I started to investigate this but haven’t got very far with it. I will include a spare air conditioning radiator (see ‘Extras’, below). Engine bay could do with a tidy up. I started this, but it needs finishing. My eventual plan was a single turbo build. Dashboard has a couple of holes in it where something clearly used to be attached. You can’t see them when you’re sat in the driver’s seat. I will include a spare dashboard (see ‘Extras’, below). All of these things I intended to sort at some point, as well as continued general improvements to the car. Unfortunately I no longer have the time or the funds to do this so it’s time for someone else to have a go! Extras I’ve collected some extra bits over the years so I’ll throw them in with the sale... Air conditioning radiator – I got from SRD. Cannot guarantee its condition but appears pretty good. Dashboard – I bought from Keron years ago to replace my holey one. Catalytic converters – Both front and rear included in sale. Car has always passed MOTs with rear (easiest to fit) fitted. HKS SSQV BOV – Sold to me with the car. It’s still in the box it was given to me in and I’ve never used it. Location and Price Car is located in Crawley, near Gatwick. You are of course welcome to view the car and I will gladly take you for a drive in it. Price: SOLD Pictures These pictures were taken some time ago, although the appearance of the car has not really changed. I will get some up to date and more comprehensive pictures soon. Interior and engine bay pictures can be seen in post below (here).
  3. Yeah I'll have a go at that tomorrow. I had made the assumption that it wouldn't be the light units. Surely if it were, the hazard fuse would blow too? I was expecting it to be something unique to the indicator circuit... but I don't know what that includes! The switch obviously. Do you know anything else that's on the indicator circuit but not the hazard circuit?
  4. I'm not sure. I've only checked the fuse after using the indicators so far. I might get a pack of fuses that I can blow through and do some testing!
  5. Evening! So my Supra has been off the road for a couple of months whilst I got round to replacing a leaking coolant pipe. That's all sorted so now of course something else has gone wrong. My indicators don't work. They were fine before the car had sat for a while. Hazards work fine on all four corners and side repeaters; side lights work (facelift combined sidelight/indicator units); headlights work; tail lights work. I checked the fuse (7.5A 'Turn' fuse in drivers footwell) and it was blown. Replaced and still nothing; checked again and the new fuse was blown. Any ideas what's causing the fuse to blow?
  6. Thanks Chris. Seems a bit odd, but at least I know to stop looking now! Which square seals do you mean? There were circular rubber grommet type seals where the fluid flows between the two halves. These were not replaced in the refurb kit but I assumed this was because they are not moving seals. They looked and felt fine to me so I reused them.
  7. I've refurbed my UK Front brakes recently but I can't find the torque setting for the four bolts pictured (across the top of the picture) that hold the two sides of the calipers together. I've got the settings for the two that hold each caliper on the car and for the banjo bolt, from this page: Anyone know where I can find the correct torque for those bolts? Thanks in advance.
  8. Old thread but I'm having the same issue... only with my standard bonnet! Since the car was painted the bonnet has never been straight. The front lines up fine, but at the back it is far too far towards the offside. I've had a go at loosening the four bolts (two either side) that connects the bonnet to its hinges and moving it over as far as I can, but there doesn't seem to be much play in the bolt holes and it has made little/no difference. I thought it could be the bonnet dampers causing the issue, but I've removed them now and it's not made any difference. Anybody have any suggestions?
  9. Fixed Oil light has gone out too so I guess that's an odd quirk!
  10. I'll have a look at some prices and see what I can sort out. Thanks for your advice mate, it's been very helpful. I'll be back here when I get stuck trying to fit it!!
  11. Good. In that case I got the right one. I was more confident of that when I got a sensible reading but I couldn't see all round it to see if there were any more. I don't quite follow... are you suggesting I refurbish mine rather than replace it all?
  12. Thought as much. Any idea how much a new one will set me back? Is it worth getting a refurbed one or best to stick with new?
