  1. For me, it would've been more expense to build the cats back into the system. However you just sparked a thought. Would it be illegal to drive a UK registered car that has no cats but has passed all MOT inspections in foreign territory such as Germany?
  2. Headers go down into a custom Y pipe under the car and join a supra TT exhaust. That's how mine works with long headers. Vvti and pre vvti can share headers from an ls400 or soarer if using stock. If you don't have all the immobiliser parts from the ls400 vvti you'll need to do a security bypass if keeping the Lexus ecu. Msmile is using a w58, I'm using a TT auto so he'll know more about your clutch.
  3. The tester I used last time went by the year and engine code on the plate. My 1994 used to have a 2JZ-GE so not on the list and regardless of what engine is actually fitted to the car it is tested as a pre 95 with a non specific engine. Mine is a thumping V8 with no cats, emission test sailed through. I didn't try to hide anything to the tester, he was very clear that it should be tested this way. Had the Supra been a 1995 though I'd be stuffed.
  4. Has anything changed regarding the larger inner rings of the facelift lights or is it still not possible to make a full set on that one?
  5. Any good to you? Can't quite tell if you have a black or grey roof interior. Passenger side has a tiny wear spot from what I can see.
  6. The SC430 uses either the A650 5 speed auto or the A761 6 speed auto. I should say that although the A650 box will mount onto a Supra chassis, the gear lever mechanism in the cabin is huge and sits about an inch higher, fouls with the handbrake lever, and wants to rest somewhere forward inside the centre console. I have that gearbox spare now.. Also your title has the A340e NA box, not the A343e TT box. The Soarer V8 uses an A341e 4 speed auto. You might find the A343e in the 2wd Hilux. Source is from AU so not sure if that model was available in the UK. http://www.vehiclemods.net.au/hilux-gearboxes
  7. Nice find mate. Was that from the 1UZ Facebook group, forum, or website?
  8. Great to see your project coming along Minde. Looking forward to your updates.
  9. Don't see why not. I bought one not long ago for a 95 celica and had a choice of tints. Whifbitz used to sell a heated screen version for the Supra, not sure if they still do but you could upgrade if you wanted.
  10. Mine was doing that and I don't have aircon present. Thought it might be a broken control unit but it sounds more likely to be the valve
  11. Mine did that after putting them back together. I put the affected cluster into the airing cupboard over night or however long it took to dry it out. Then re-sealed along the edges with black silicone sealant. Didn't steam up again.
  12. It's the same stuff that you roll out in your loft. Mines been gone for years with no issues. Maybe the bonnet will get a bit warmer and that's all.
  13. Can't hurt to get a quote from them. Very local to, cheers! The rest of the car isn't perfect so this job is a bit interim. Any idea how many rattle cans a rear bumper would likely use?
  14. I've been holding onto some body panels for when I get around to respraying the whole car. With the recent spend on my Supra that's not going to happen anytime soon so I thought about having them sprayed anyway in the current style of the car. Is there anyone one who has a spraygun and the know-how to paint 2 x side skirts, Trial rear, and an active spoiler lip? Colour would be mostly satin black with a black gloss under section. In this sort of area as I don't want to post any of this. Was thinking of doing it myself but would be with rattle cans and no experience of panels this big.
  15. Ordered on Monday 12th, expected Tuesday 20th
  16. Sounds like the part I just ordered from Toyota at £78.72 inc vat. Bottom left corner of the image, Part# 41204-30040
  17. Very much like what you've done with the look of the exhaust tips. Looks and sounds awesome. Did you blank the exhaust cutout on the Trial rear? You don't really need it
  18. Two days cleaning? It shows. Looks amazing inside, outside and bayside!
  19. There is that long metal arm with a bolt hole that moves something on the side of the transmission. Could those solenoids be triggered electronically perhaps, without the need for the lever to shift something into place?
  20. Without having an open gear box to examine, can anyone describe or even better provide a video of what the auto shifter underneath the gearstick physically moves in the gearbox when changing between Park, Drive, Reverse etc. So I can have a better understanding of how it works and to maybe get my Supra working again..
  21. It's very similar. Any idea where they can be purchased?
