  1. Haha well mine has just fixed it self by repeatedly pressing the lock and unlock switch on the door. So Id say deffo the module..
  2. Thats my exact problem... Trying to source one
  3. I cant hear the locking module click when try to lock the door. But I do hear the module click when unlocking. But if i repeatedly keep pressing the unlock switch it has flicked to lock a few times. Does that sound likely its the module?
  4. I will try that Gaz when I can. Is it in the picture I put up a earlier in the thread Gaz? I tried to find the control locking control box and couldn't see it.. I looked were the ECU is ect..
  5. Strange thing its unlocks just fine.. With the fob and the door swich.. Just wont lock with the fob or door switch
  6. I'm not sure how to test that gaz.. Were is the lock mechanism ? I did find this flappy thin piece of metal that seems to have a switch behind it. It looks like this should be attached to something via the box shaped end?
  7. 1st thing I did was remove the door card, All looks ok. The speaker wasn't near any wire. Thing is your is no sound AT ALL when trying to lock the car as if no power was getting to the internal locking switch or when locking with the fob.
  8. I just checked all fuses no luck It is an after market alarm. Just randomly did this.. I can activate alarm no problem. and deativate with the fob but the doors just aren't locking. But they wont even lock with the switch on the door card .. Just put an update that I can lock the doors with the door key which will also lock the passenger door.
  9. I have had a look and all seems fine. When I try and lock the car I cant even hear it try and lock... Even the passenger side. Its almost as if a fuse has gone or something.
  10. Hay peps. Random small issue happened today. For some reason my doors wont lock with the key fob nor with the lock/unlock switch on the door. When I to push on the lock/unlock switch to unlock I can hear I can hear unlock sound from the doors (even though there unlocked already) which is normal. But when I push it to lock there's nothing. I highly doubt it has anything to do with it but when I was tightening my door speaker when it happened witch is self tapped into the door card. Any ideas? Thanks Edit: I can lock the doors with the door key which will also lock the passenger door. So the central locking is fine.
  11. I need a new bat. Would be interested to see peoples opinions.
  12. £170 with from camskill fella. No need to remap with them, besides my injectors are maxed atm lol My thought on them is they deal with heat better and more ideal for cars with more boost over stock and modified.. What NGK say about them: Racing spark plugs are generally constructed with higher heat ranges due to the production of more thermal energy from racing and performance modified engines. Different designs offer varying projection into combustion chamber to match engine design and performance characteristics. Ground electrode designs vary to offer better engine flexibility or resistance to damage by high levels of combustion vibration and high temperatures. Semi surface design plugs similar to the true surface discharge types shown overleaf offers the most robust characteristics only used in the most extreme conditions.
  13. I know bud it was only a small bottle but I have a few long drives coming up and I cant risk it. It was holts stuff too..
  14. Hay all. A bit of a boring thread. But hay ho some pics for you to show some work on the car the past 2 days at my makes workshop. Buy myself and Alex at AKS Tuning (please excuse the dirty engine bay atm) 1st up was to bit a Cusco Supra Brake Master Cylinder Stopper ordered from Paul at Whifbitz Pedal feels much firmer. Next was plug cover off and clean up any oil from cam cover gasket before fitting the NGK race plugs. And a lot cleaner I Cleaned up the coil packs while there out too. The NGK race plugs that were about to go in compared to the iridium ones I have had there for a few years. There are also grade 9 to replace the 8's Time to sort a very minor oil leak. We found that last time worked on the car the sump sealant was sticking out in areas. Also a lot of residue oil around the sump. What a PAIN this was to remove. All sealant scraped off the block. Alex removed the strainer to make it a little easier to remove the sump. I cleaned up the sump as I had to scrape off all the old sealant. Happy to say no metal or pieces were in the sump and the strainer was mint. Alex did a nice tidy job of the sealant as we can see after I tightened it all up. Oh and fitted a new sump plug Next was the nice shiny cam covers supplied by Rob Mitchell. We used new cam cover gaskets. For a while I have had a coolant leak and we finally found it was the alloy rad sadly I just can not afford a new rad at the moment. And I know some of you my frown upon me but we did a full coolant change (as it was just water from me non stop topping it up) and Holts rad seal. Needs must and this car is my daily runner. And last up time for Alex to get his weld on. Since the single turbo conversion I have done nothing but scrape, knock and break off v-bands as the 4" exhaust sits just too low. So Alex took it off and started to modify brackets and tuck up the exhaust. He manage to raise it quite a lot... I await for the the speed bump test lol And of coarse the usual, oil drain and filter change. Thanks for looking all and the car feels great. Paul
  15. I was thinking of buying one of these but I have noticed them say (non ABS Suitable) I know it sounds like an obvious answer of its not suitable for ABS cars if the question is what does that mean but what difference is it if its ABS or not the master cylinder is still in the same place and I though all Supras had ABS. Thanks Paul
  16. I didn't know this.. Learn something new everyday
  17. I had an issue with this recently. I have now an agreed value at £18k. If I didn't have that I'd only get about £9k if it were written off or stolen. This created no extra cost on my policy with Sky...
  18. Yer I know Chris Wilson uses modified stock clutches on his upgarde kit. Yes generally uprated clutches use there own pressure plates as they will create more pressure than stock.. I believe thats correct lol
