Hey all, I don't know many of you but I thought I'd share my good news.
For the past 12 years I have working in a cycle retail shop, working up the ladder from a cycle assembler to a store manager. Over the many of years during promotions unjustifiable situations happened resulting me disliking were I was, lowering my motivation wanting me to provide my hard work and skills else were.
I had some interviews with jobs I didn't really want, some unsuccessful, some me turning down, but I needed out..
Some of you may have followed or seen my build posts over the years of me doing all sorts of upgrades over the years, big brake, full bush kit, inlet manifold, big single ect...
This was all carried out at one of my closest friends workshop allowing me to work on my car with him. He has built up his business over the past 6 years and is swamped with work and fully booked for months since day 1 as he's is highly rated in the VAG scene and has now moved to a much bigger premisses of which he had 3 ramps installed, fabrication room, engine/gearbox building room, 2 offices, vinyl cutting room, packing room ect...
Recently a position opened up for a 3rd member of the team as a sales and admin co-ordinator, the requirements met all my skills as well as having the ability to helping out in the workshop if needed so I contacted him about the position. We sat down and had a good chat for a few hours and following day I got the go ahead.
I wouldn't want to work in any other business more than a company tuning cars, let alone my mates one. And even though he is a VAG specialist he's worked on all sorts, from Ferraris to Mines R33 Skylines. So I will get to see a big mix..
I start in the 2nd week of May and looking forward to be apart of his team and seeing the continuous suburb custom work he does at AKS Tuning.
Thanks for reading
Paul
