All sorted now. Ok what i did was totaly remove anything to do with ATI. Then tryed to reinstall CCC. After installation i got an error with the ati driver fail. Low and behold blue screen Went into device manager and updated both card drivers that way. Restarted the comp. And the crossfire tab was there and it was enabled, also with the info the 2nd driver is confirmed link not disabled. Now the drivers are correctly installed lets see if i get blue screens. Many thanks for the time again guys, this is simple stuff and im finding it all a rite challenge atm.

Thanks for the reply guys. Crossfire was enabled before this update i did. So mobo deffo supports the feature. I was considering updating the drivers but i hear is real risky. Normally i have the crossfire tab in the CCC advanced but after the update the tab isnt there and there not crossfired no more. Will look into updating the drivers and as requested a pic: http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/1958/20101210003.jpg http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/3360/20101210004.jpg

Ok they used to be crossfired but not anymore. I havent no luck tonight. Im feeling Such a noob with PC's at the moe Ok in device manager it shows there are 2 HD4850 cards, In GPU-Z there is 2 but crossfire is disabled. In CCC there is no option for enable them. I think it was the update that made this happen so i reinstalled and still no luck. Both cards work perfectly and are powered up Here is what it says in CCC information: Primary Adapter Graphics Card Manufacturer Powered by ATI Graphics Chipset ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series Device ID 9442 Vendor 1002 Subsystem ID E104 Subsystem Vendor ID 174B Graphics Bus Capability PCI Express 2.0 Maximum Bus Setting PCI Express 2.0 x8 BIOS Version 011.021.000.005 BIOS Part Number 113-BA1E104CSA-QI4 BIOS Date 2009/07/21 Memory Size 1024 MB Memory Type GDDR3 Core Clock in MHz 625 MHz Memory Clock in MHz 993 MHz Total Memory Bandwidth in GByte/s 63.6 GByte/s Disabled Adapter Graphics Card Manufacturer Powered by ATI Graphics Chipset ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series Device ID 9442 Vendor 1002 Subsystem ID E810 Subsystem Vendor ID 174B Graphics Bus Capability PCI Express 2.0 Maximum Bus Setting PCI Express 2.0 x8 BIOS Version 011.007.000.000 BIOS Part Number 113-AB50102-X12 BIOS Date 2008/08/11 Memory Size 1024 MB Memory Type GDDR3 Core Clock in MHz 625 MHz Memory Clock in MHz 993 MHz Total Memory Bandwidth in GByte/s 63.6 GByte/s Any help would be great.

The icute PSU has done me well for a year now. Its a maplins job but im impressed with it so far. Yes the bios is uptodate. I have a feeling it could be sumin to do with sound card drivers. As iv had a pop up before saying sound card driver not installed but it is. I reinstalled anyway. I could leave it one prime 95 while im at work 2moro. So i will do. I have cleared CMOS and running totaly standard settings to check if the possability of my overclock was unstable.

Hay all. Ok i have a problem. From time to time i get Blue Screens pop up and it restarted the computer. I dont always have enough time to read what the error message is as the comp reststarts. The last time it did with i did see "memory management" but the error messages can be different I have run memory tests and there is no errors. Its recently new 2 2GB sticks of DDR2 Corsair XMS2 1066 Also Corsair ram cooler RAM Fans to keep them cool. Also im on Windows 7 Proffesional 32 BIT Any help would be great. Many thanks The system is overclocked here are some screen shots http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/3152/20101202001c.jpg http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/2977/20101202003.jpg http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/8562/20101202004.jpg

Nope... Things are as we see it im my eyes.. A tree is a tree, a car is a car. Humans are just humans.. All of which are made of the same atoms and cells along with everything else. When you really see things that way. You then realise how daft the term "supernatural" really is... However some great films have come out of it... Our minds play tricks on us at time only becuase of stories we have heard being bort up with i.e: Spirits... If we all got told there was a very common ghost called "The Donkey Raping Sheep Moose" im sure we would beleive in that... "I saw it.. It was there having his way with this poor poor donkey, it had the head and legs of a sheep and the body of a Moose" lol

Hi Septic. Some good advice so far from everyone. Yes a good PSU is important. Cheap ones can burn out quickly especialy during important parts in the game, like if you get leveled up in WOW for instance and your gfx card sucks in more power, then the board needs it it will just go. Also if the comp used for a long time (and i know you WOW players play for hours on end) the volts can run uneven levels which can potensionaly damage your hardware. Sorry dont play wow so if my example was terriable lol. I was using a decent 650W and it happened to me last xmas, I use an i-cuite 1000W now and even though its a Maplins job and nothing as goos as Corsair ect im very impressed with its performance and sound so far My i-cute PSU also has an attachement lead to provent those uneven volts. So if you want to keep at a budget look at i-cute PSU's. But what you also want to take into account is you WILL end up upgrading your rig. WOW will need better hardware eventually and you may end up turning to the Dark Side and become a PC gamer but put down your x-box controller for the better , so a good tower and mobo is vital. You mentioned Asus and there brillient. PC gaming is for the win mate

Nice little set up for £400 I use 2 of the ATI Sapphire HD4580 cards and im impressed with them, i had a bad experience with Nvideia to ATI all way... I think you should go with Damans set up as it will be built for you, you know the parts are goin to be good quality and its all up an running, unlike with e-bay you get sent the part and you coud get a dodgy Ram stick or sumin. That asrock mobo and the cheap power supply look utter rubbish mate.. Deffo Damans set up mate
-
Daman is your man.. Im selling a perfect motherboard if you want it, been reconditioned by Gigabyte so its like new. It has 2 PCI Ex slots so you can upgrade to 2 graphics cards in the future and its not bad for overclocking !! If your interested let me know and i will sort a price out for you. Then thats a good start to keeping the cost down mate. Also as its a DDR2 board that keeps the cost of the RAM down My e-bay link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160513910906&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
