  1. As my car was sat outside for about 3 months due to a broken diff my polished engine bay was, well.... messy.... and the painted parts a state. Everything had corroded from the rain, small amount of snow and many frosty nights, not helping having a vented bonnet. Usually my bay doesn't need to much attention as its a daily runner so the engine heat evaporates the water and all remains fine, but when its sat there to rot, its a different case. Total of 2 long afternoons and sending my cam covers to RM Polishing to try and tackle the metal damage, Rob did the best he could and they came up as good as they will get, the rest of the bay was for me to do what I can. I don't really have a before shot as I didn't want to remember that state it was in. But the end result wasn't too bad
  2. Your not the only one, years ago I had my cards off to reinstall the switch surrounds after they had been painted blue. Windows didn't work after that, I had the door cards off many more times and checked all fuses, hour later... Yep that bloody button
  3. Found.. Thanks Mark. Was nice meeting you. I now have a usuable car for the easter break.
  4. Has anyone got that that I maybe able to collect over easter weekend? Thanks Paul
  5. Yer its deffo watchable now... Before its was just cringe, not funny and well... just rubbish. Its funny how I said to my friends they need to make it matt, Roy and chris as the main 3 and not change the platform too much, Roy and Matt are very natural, Chris seems a little amateur but will come more natural to him I think over time
  6. Great thanks guys, A lid is what I had in mine too, just for the battery
  7. Great thanks bud What is the bluck stuff you stuck to the original metal floor?
  8. Hey all. Ok as my battery, sub, amp, watermeth tank and washer bottle are in the boot its all getting cluttered and messy (mainly because of battery) So I'm considering making a fake boot floor. My sub is resting on the thin plastic sheet that normally is used to cover the space saver. My battery is strapped to the original floor were the spacer saver was with the OEM carpet and thin plastic cover cut out to allow the battery to fit. I'm happy to have everything else kept where it is except the battery. If I was to remove the boot foam on the right hand side (where to the tools normally go) and relocate my battery there out of the way, then have a MDF floor with stilts between the new MDF floor and original floor to support the sub (as the foam on the left supports the thin plastic spacer saver cover) and then use black acoustic carpet to wrap with. Has anyone done this before or have pics? This is my current state lol Thanks Paul
  9. Yer I stupidly balance the cable and it slipped off were I balanced it and I heard a pop, so I'm 99% sure, £200 lesson learnt..
  10. Hi mate, fuse went because the alternator power cable touched an earth I believe. I have already removed the door car and the Alarm guys used a tool to reverse the power on the cable going into the door card switch and the window went up when we clicked the window to go down. The switch does feel a little loose when using the up switch. So its deffo the switch. No problem, I like to update encase someone googles it in future
  11. Yep thats right, it popped at the side so I didn't notice it
  12. Does anyone have a spare drivers side window switch available? Thanks Paul
  13. Yes all checked Alarm fuses. I the car is with the Alarm guys at the moment as they are looking into it. Its a Viper 5204v I hope the alternator isn't screwed its a Mechman
  14. Thanks guys, all fuses check ect and the car still drives. I did disconnect the alternator power connection before this all happened, maybe it touched an earth and tripped something.
  15. Hi all. I have an electrical issue so was wondering if anyone can advise. Alarm is not getting power Drivers Window wont go up Central locking not working 3 dash lights 1. Battery, 2.Rear light warning 3. Cat temp warning Thanks Paul SOLVED: Main fuse went at the side (the big amp one) in the engine bay fuse box. Electric window switch gone faulty is a coincidence, better start the hunt.
  16. Found out what it is. Found it online randomly. Its an audo break glass sensor. https://www.viper.com/car/accessories/product/506t/audio-glass-break-sensor
  17. Haha what you lot like... There is these horrible little tweeters glued on my dash to replace the stock ones when i picked it up, so something to do with a cross over box could be correct. But I dont know why it would flash when static but not when in motion.. lol
