When I am not stripping a supra
the supercharger project is progressing well,couple of pics for those interested
a few more refinements added, the control unit developed can control up to 4 extra injectors,its is adjustable for injector duration and has inputs of crank sensor for rpm,boost pressure sensor,and intake temp, from these parameters it controls the extra injectors which fuel into the supercharger intake giving good atomisation and a bit of cooling too.
(the control unit could be adapted for the supra)
The point of the excercise was to develop something as an alternative to expensive ecu fitting which would also keep stock injectors in place and stock ecu so normal idle and running off boost but controlled fuelling on boost also the temp input is used to richen slightly if temp gets too high and offset detonation
The charger is a screw compressor (proper charger)rated to about325 bhp, larger one could be used to about 550 plus but a bit pointless on a MINI
