This time an equitable division of pain (read destruction of wealth) is even more unlikely due to the Baby Boomer generation size compared with the following generations Most of the middle class wealth is trapped in the BB generation so it is they who will get mullered and to be fair they pulled the ladder up after they made their money. They will get little or no sympathy from the younger generations Usually it is the poorer working class(I hate that term), ie those oop north who take the blows ,but this time the home counties ,middle England , "the investors" who will get raped and they have poor history of community to help them deal with it Pensions - If ever there was a Ponzi scheme this is it - just who were they for ? 54% of all pensions went those who traded in them . Selling dreams of future wealth for the masses whilst they purchased the Yachts - On which they sat calculating how soon you would die after drawing a pension:( Continual growth is impossible -

-Well you cant have a one way bet , Your situation is now throughout the country; At the ripe old age of 21 You decided to become a speculator, capitalist ,call it what you will , one home wasnt enough ? On someone elses money (banks) you wanted someone else (tennants) to pay towards you having an easier life . So what was needed was the price of houses to ever increase and be paid by the next generation of house buyers ie They would have to pay the £££££ to the bank in order to gain a mortgage in order to pay you. The frenzy of housing ,pumped by the media was always going to end in tears ,coupled with easy credit and a binge the like of which was astounding ! By Binge I mean 3 holidays a year ,second house in Spain, stag nights in Amsterdam,2 or 3 cars ,bikes, jetskis, quads, designer everything,£4 cups of coffee,10k kitchens, nailbars, tanning salons, spa baths,I pods, kids games at £60 a pop - In short the UK people turned into David Beckham !!! All this spending on imported (mostly Chinese ) goods and all with a residual value of Zero and of Zero benefit to the country ,was always going to end in pain The question now, is can we wean ourselves off it ,and take the consequences? - Dell boy was wrong ,this time next year we wont be millionaires -

"These sort of taxation increases are going to be painful, but I'm afraid they need to be embraced rather than rebelled against." That statement has been tried since Roman times never seemed to get far though -usually resulted in Rebellion -

Also expect an additional property tax under the guise of a "green/energy" tax , based on size of property or number of rooms etc It's not easy to hide a house from the taxman or move it offshore-so it's an easy target -

This is only the start, there will be many more taxes to come!! You cannot tax people who have no assets or money- so you tax people who do Expect a flood of properties on the Market ,as people try to avoid it, Driving down house prices, - this will lead to lower rentals -
the vicar is playing with his organ again:)

Although it has 2 rotors it is not a compressor, its a positive displacement pump so has no internal compression

http://www.trendsresearch.com/index.htm Celente, Peter Shiff,Chris Martenson, and a number of people have been giving a heads up for a number of years ,albeit a bit over dramatised Each forcaster has valid points and questions ,but the answers are not forthcoming As time progresses I think there will be fundamental changes and it will effect what is and isnt an "investment" Tax wise there must be changes , if you cant tax people who have very little ,then who exactly are you going to tax? To cover the UKs debts there will be a sell off ,on a grand scale ,The Roads and the BBC for example will be sold ,its only a matter of time... So the people own these type of things ..then sold to private companies ... then the people pay for their use ,,can you see an Irony ,,,,,much like Banking really:rolleyes:

Seen these :they are in fine shape as you would expect having run such low miles

This morning ftse down 2.5% - do people consider this a "normal" event? And after how many such events will it take to alter perception,

I cant see that the power level of the car makes any odds,I had one fall off around 10 years old at idle at a set of traffic lights -luckily no damage Its just a weak spot and part of having an old car Ive had nearly 50 year old Jags and the dampers never failed but the supra is prone to it ,you either change it or "do you feel lucky" in a Clint Eastwood style
-
Therein lies the problem; There are views from each extreme from total collapse , to its all going to return to "normal" - most humans base their logic or descisions on what has happened before - this is fine until something new occurs then we struggle to move beyond what has happened before Soop dogg will defend his position or ideas, its unnatural to say I could have got this totally wrong, and also history is on my side - This type outlook typifies the "market " its about human reactions , as he says ignore the mathmatics - well mathmatics and logic are immoveables -they override what people "think" every time Current market moves totally defy logic, and probably are being manipulated by the Govts in charge ,they have to keep confidence high and currencies valid ,without confidence the whole thing collapses Its a lack of confidence that is pressurising Greece -How can they pay back the money ? yet the bigger question is how can the USA pay back 26 trillion dollars ? There are so many disconnects ,Gold -how can paper gold outnumber real actual gold by 100 to 1 ? it hasn,t even been mined yet !! What to read ? the opposite extremes- Von Mises -and Keynes -the outcome is somewhere between and apply good old common sense

Its OK , but ... heat , moisture and vibration are the enemy of wiring , covering in heat shirink will always help here ,the connector used doesnt look a proper enviromental one ,and the loom needs fastening at equally spaced points the more the better Having seen a number of Supras ,mostly modified , the wiring on some big buck project cars has been ,well lets say poor at best .. The cables in the Supra are now getting old and insulation resistance and condition deteriorates ,especially if the looms have been disturbed If there was enough interest in specific looms or looms for common installs I would make these for people Car cable is cheap and poor quality ,there are far better cables available ; lighter, stronger, better insulation and current carrying capacity despite being thinner cables, with far higher tolerance to heat ,(even fires) and moisture using these cables and proper enviromental splices and connectors, looms would outlast the car !! -No failures and far better for high temps or race use If there were a call for it I would gladly make and design looms for any purpose -I can get lengths and runs off my own car and have access to very good connectors .
-
Better to start saving for courses -the car comes later ! NDT -is good area to be in ,Im currently trying to get my lad into it I would suggest getting into Laser shearography over and above the older techinques ,even if your company doesnt do this ,you can ,in your own time . Where did you do your basic training ,were they good ? PM me if you like

http://rodyn-inc.com/ISCORMA3_Gunter&Chen_TurbochargerVer2.pdf A good article above on turbos- although plain bearing turbos the same forces applies to bb turbos - The manufacturers and designers go to great lengths to factor these forces when it comes to turbine clearances , so adding a heat shield too close to the turbine housing ,could possibly alter the clearances leading to premature failures As a heatshield to protect underbonnet temps then larger housing to heat shield distance may be required . Its interesting (to me anyway) to read the various harmonics and shaft forces that come into play (no pun intended) rather than the usual what size or a/r or bearing type posts or info
-
What would you be trying to achieve with a heat shield ?
-
why dont you just make one ; a sheet of aerogel and some stainless steel sheet ,and a couple of rivets - cant be that hard !!
