Bits arrived ,so phase one begins; firstly dyno numbers and data as is ; single turbo T67 800 injectors fmic walbros blah, blah Phase one fitment of water tank and charge cooler system It has been talked of before but I have not seen any actual fitment or data on a charge cooler on the supra , so lets see. At first it will be in conjunction with the fmic , sort of belt and braces , and fitted post fmic , not the ideal situation but for now pending stages 2/3/4 good enough . the charge cooler has a very small pressure drop 0.1 psi , so wont drop any significant boost but should give very stable IAT temps under high boost , its rated around 400 bhp worth of cooling The water tank 21/2 gal can also be ice filled if necessary for short term cooling at below ambient ,again lets see.. Im sure Dude can supply pics as and when hes done the instal

There are already contracts in place for pies and beer to be delivered , so add some blue pop , each flat can have a picture window so permanent wide screen sky sports , home dugout turn into chinky , away dugout into dole office - sorted , huge savings !! Better than watching a load of overpaid , foreigners dance around on a saturday afternoon ! isnt LFC registered in the Caman isles or somewhere equally dodgy ?
-
If RBS are the owners and the tax payer owns 85% of RBS , then the tax payer owns LFC ; Just close them down as part of the incoming cuts , who wants a loss making Business ? turn the stadium into council flats

They don't drive like a big car, best just drive one for 1/2 hour and you are hooked , a better drive than a supra , I've got both !! Suspension is more suited to our crap roads and the auto is not to be looked down on , it's a better car than most drivers - a real design high point in cars

None of the above!! Soarer TT as they are 1 well built 2 cheap as chips 3 plenty of used spares 4 fast 5 quiet, smooth ,refined 6 corner well ,balanced and good grip 7 well appointed with goodies 8 cheap 9 comfortable and have 2 rear seats and large boot space 10 easy to tune with much available knowledge 11 well matched gearbox/engine combo 12 did I mention cheap

Oil pump (crankshaft front) oil seal failures
jagman replied to Chris Wilson's topic in mkiv Technical
I would agree that the low mileage tt fail is the issue and the lack of low mile na s failure points to the possile caused. Det does not have to always destroy pistons ,but the pressure acting against the direction of rod travel can be large with the mixture ignited at the wrong time "In more severe or prolonged detonation, local temperatures melt the aluminum causing "termite holes" in the piston. With any engine type, burning of holes into or through the piston firsts require the destruction of the boundary layer and a burning off interceding carbon deposits. Evidence of boundary layer destruction by detonation is best early identified by the complete removal of carbon deposits in areas normally observed to contain carbon. This removal often is localized and close to the outside edge of the piston dome. Detonation damage is not limited to burning of holes in pistons or the combustion chamber (typically between the valve seats). The rapid increase in pressures can over-load the rod bearings causing lubrication failure and quite possibly bearing failure. There could be other more hidden damage caused by detonation such as detuning of engine counterweights and resultant over stressing of the crankshaft ". -
Oil pump (crankshaft front) oil seal failures
jagman replied to Chris Wilson's topic in mkiv Technical
Im not talking about the crank like a bloody Banana! , high frequency oscillations that cause an eliptical movement of a few thou , compounded by high rpms at the seal - the engine already has many vibrations and harmonics and does not shake itself to pieces How many NA cars have had the failure ?, surely even na cars can be used for very short trips on choke ?? dont they suffer dilution and many owners just drive and never frequently oil change The only sample are the forum cars , how many have had a failure even high milers or shoddily maintained ones Any traders or garages on here have ever changed an na seal due leaks? Is the crank damper the same has any na owners had the thing fall off? -

http://support.mscsoftware.com/cgi-bin/kb_files/Cummins_Pfleuger_paper.pdf?name=ri%2F1-13%2F1-13B2-2668%2FCummins_Pfleuger_paper.pdf Crank are subjected to bending stress, supported by the bearings , detonation on one cylinder can send huge forces down con rod to crank at the wrong time in its cycle . if it was simply down to poor oil or degradation then at least 1 NA car would have the failure , and newly rebuilt engines would not have the fms fail ? Has any na cars had an oil pump fail -
Oil pump (crankshaft front) oil seal failures
jagman replied to Chris Wilson's topic in mkiv Technical
It seems the FMS issue is compounded by poor/incorrect fitments of new seal However it seems that the initial cause has not been really solved and ONLY on turbo cars it appears Given the failures contained to turbo only cars then this must narrow the possiblities , odd pressure problems seem to be done to death What about Detonation as an answer , mild or medium detonation ,causing shock waves down to the crank and bending the crank causing either oil pump or seal issues? It has to be turbo related and the turbo cars will be far more det/pre ignition prone , long term or mild det could go undetected and create such problems ?? -
Royal Mail provide a recorded tracked service ,with mostly next day delivery!! Seems a slow boat from china would be quicker that your current " courriers" thank god it's not a kidney

Direct injection cars run this all the time , the high CR helps off boost performance , but on non DI head , read major bucks to convert !! DI is the future !!

http://en.helicommand.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=100:fly-rc-helicommand-and-blades&catid=50:press&Itemid=84 A good friend of mine has been flying heli for years ,he uses the above - if you get out of shape you let go of the controls and it stabalises itself The best aid you can get , but there is also a lot to set up with the model , blade tracking ,and gains on the transmitter etc but the autopilot gives you a fighting chance of getting these adjusted - or you may be destined for very short very expensive flights;)
-
autopilot !! Germans make one

And of course shut down Air traffic control for 20 mile radius-

"Grandad how did you lose your fingers?" "well I had these elastic bands....

And video this whilst you try and do it- a you tube hit in the making!

Large dogs take lots of commitment, my pair run 8-10 miles a day ,rain or shine, and 4 hrs a week training. They are a pleasure to watch across the fields running ,leaping 10 foot ditches in a stride, but the thought of them attacking anyone horrifies me! Buy a taser mate! The worst can happen is you stun yourself!
-
"training" a large dog to attack or bite people is the height of stupidity!
-
They are only 13 inches long so instal fairly easy , more importantly only 0.1 psi pressure drop . Some have talked about it before but not actually fitted one, so speculation rather than data . It's belt and brace for my install, and worth trying .
-
I would rather have waited until all testing and install done but in brief ; a pre compressor water/meth injection with a slight difference to enhance spool and efficiency post compressor water injection. fmic and charge cooler instal laminova water cooled oil cooler and gear box coolers enhanced water cooling to coolant system Control systems for all above looking to achieve between 2.7 and 3 bar boost without the need for large fuel requirements Hence the need for plugs with both heat and shock wave tolerance
-
A bit different to the norm , but flirting on the edge of detonation limits ,so a good test for the plugs
-
There is little or no feedback on Brisk plugs, they are well liked by the motorbike bunch , and they have excellent low resistance and heat transfer abilities (above iridium etc ) As I will be at elevated boost above the usual levels ,if they work in my car then they will be suited to others. As some have found out losing a plug tip gets expensive
-
Im trying out some of these as I have a set , will let you all know the results with high boost

dyslexics could go bankrupt trying to fly home from holiday!!

The Apu is a standalone engine compressor and turbine that is used to provide electrics(it has a generator),and air (off compressor) for use on the ground with no main engines running or in air for emergency use (main engines fail) They are fairly complex and expensive - it looks like he used an air starter which is a kind of turbo compressor used for starting gas turbines -
