"You should not buy a property with a lease of less than 60 years, and anyway mortgage lenders are very unlikely to lend for a lease as a short as this. Lenders normally want at least 20 years left on the lease after the end of the mortgage term. As a leaseholder you have the right to extend the lease for 90 years or even to buy the freehold if certain criteria are met, though the application process is expensive and takes a long time. Contact the Leasehold Enfranchisement Advisory Service" You need to do some research, and remember we live in a country obsessed with house buying ,yet everyone missed this bargain house ???
-
Why did it not sell at 160k and 150k ? and why would it not drop further ?
-
There may also be restrictions within the lease for devopment or extensions etc

Primitive man were in groups and tribes , they also fought each other for food ,women, land etc , if you tried to shout or call to another tribes warrior in peace it could be hard to tell if it was a peace cry or war cry , limited or no language was available - however a clicking of the fingers or clap is an easy means of communication as is an open palm (not carrying weapon) - the romans started the formal clapping thing or clicking fingers as applause , probably derived fron the earlier gestures of primitive man . Modern man still carries the basic needs and wants as primitive man but made more complex by social changes , in some eastern block countries they still kidnap their wives.... Not sure Primitive man understood appreciation as a concept ,and had very little understanding at all , it took thousands of years to draw something and many more to plant something to eat

Nope your not good with decimals!! LOL 7.000 = 7 thousand thou ie 7 inch 0.7 = 7 hundred thou 0.07 = 70 thou 0.007 = 7 thou 0.001 = 1 thou 0.0070 is actually 0.007 - not 70 thou but 7 thou or seven markings on the guage - the whole gauge movement is 1/4 inch or 250/1000 or 250 thou
-
Correct, each increment is 1 thou , and the guage goes round 2 and a half times ,ie 0-250 thou - the smaller inner indicator shows 100thou ,200thou , and add the large pointer for the 100 or 200 for the amount in between

He is understating some of the issues , the Chinese for example have off loaded far more dollars than his Graph suggests,as many deals are not recorded being inter government deals on asset purchases - They are not daft and have seen the problems coming . They are also restricting some commodity exports (whats the point in selling valuable assets now for possible worthless currency in the future ) at the same time buying future assets using the dollars they have now . A time of great change is upon us

"Here's a little experiment to try; place both palms facing eachother and with fingers fairly straight, 'clap' your hands very slowly back and forth several times until you feel a buildup of 'energy' between them and then bend one index finger towards the opposite hand and see if you can feel it tickle the palm of the other hand without touching it, moving the fingertip in small circles around the opposite palm. You may be able to feel it without the clapping. This is the origin of clapping by the way. You're sending energy to someone when you do it. It's the opposite of 'looking daggers' at someone, since to a clairvoyant, this is what your aura looks like, apparently. " Clapping is nothing to do with the fact that you make a noise then ! you can be heard from a distance , this in the most primitive cultures declares "here I am" not hiding with a spear ,not your enemy, peace, glad to see you, etc Primitive man would have little or no concept of energy

2. Many have a belief in God - or again the supernatural - based on their personal experience. If you have a very strong sense of a presence, then you could conclude (a) you're having a psychotic episode or (b) there was a presence. If nothing else in your experience leads you to believe you're psychotic, why wouldn't you conclude (b) is correct? In other instances, we rely on our senses to inform us correctly. Connect a primitive person from darkest Africa or the amazon Jungle to an electric circuit and switch on = b) , however with the benefit of hundreds of years of science to disprove so many beliefs we still believe ,,,, to the primitive you could be God !!

What if someone else saw you eat the mushroom , he also saw the connection or not,and passed it on to someone else ,who ,,,..... A myth appears, and we have an innate tendency to tell stories and embellish them

If it is all about a return on investment , and anyone can borrow money to fund tuition , then charge kids for primary education and secondary education as a loan ,after all they have their whole life to pay it back ,that would save some tax ,a proper Tory policy. If its about higher learning ,then let it be higher ,and free ,and useful , seems that these 3 criteria are all being eroded . If wages are linked to higher learning and ability ,then I know plenty of people who should be destitute ...

"I guess it comes back to, some people have a need to believe in something, even if its intangible/ethereal, and some have a need to believe in something, only if it can be proved to exist." We love stories, sucess ,failure ,tragedy, gossip ,they are powerful , we read newspapers with stories about tosh ( sunday sport) or famous people (more tosh),Michael Jackson springs to mind. The stranger the story the more appealing it is ,With thousands of stories to pick from , some we believe to be true ....well not all of us !

"religion and the supernatural. In one there is no evidence yet it is followed blindly and the other is dismissed " Both are based in storytelling , one a moral tale and the other is the result of not following the moral tale , one cannot be without the other -neither is scientific ,but there is still a human need for both
-
Since the start of mankind , stories have been told around the fire, there is a need for such stories, kids are told stories as a means of learning it fires the imagination. Modern media ensures that there are no shortages of tales and conspiracy theories, lizard men to bigfoot in the back garden . Science ,engineering, mathmatics however have a purity ,that is corrupted by the storytellers( see Morpheus post, a mix of science and tale (stay off the weed dude)) No matter what science finds and explains, the need for stories and tales will continue as its a human trait . but once science starts looking at these tales it becomes wasteful and pointless ,the time and energy can be spent elsewhere with some return . The "why " such tales are necessary is one thing , the "where" they came from could just be some guy after a night licking frogs talking to his mate , who in turn talked to his mate ,who ,,,,

Its like the lost city of Atlantis , it never existed , first references were some obscure comments and moral story by a Greek Philosopher, cant remember which one exactly , but over the centuries the story grew and was fattened , it did dissapear for a few centuries in between , then modern times reappear with books , and stories ,and film , the myth now is covered in books ,scientific studies, and low , many people now have the belief,,,,, so we call on modern science to refute something that never existed in the first place ,,,a waste of time and money .

none of the above is about the validity of parapsychology, but the belief system in people , and the logical thinking process, it could have been conducted with good chess players and poor chess players with similar outcomes . You can dress up the subject as you wish but at its root there is no substance ,its all wasted time money and effort , there has not been and never will be anyone with the ability to communicate with " the other side" , or Ghosts ,apart from the age old tales and holywood movies , and those who leave the pub after a lock in ,who can indeed talk in tongues

The country is indeed in the sh1tter , but through mal investment ,and economic mismanagement and educational mismanagement There should be free education ,and an end to the dozens of pointless ,oversubscribed degrees with no possible job at the end of it . You can get a Mcdonalds foundation degree! you tell me just how hard it can be to flip burgers and order more in !! Free useful degrees and media studies, sports science, basket weaving etc you pay for your own folly .... Without a proper economic direction then there will not be Jobs to pay back any fees or achieve any better paid jobs or even gainful employment . Cutting benefits is a just a means of pretending we will pay back the debts we owe , that can really only be paid back by economic growth , this in turn needs some economy that we can grow in and education to suit that new economy .We no longer have cheap internal energy so have to be even smarter with the economy !! As it stands the youth are going to be bent over and shafted time and time again ,whilst the older generation sit back and say "we deserved our money" GEN x and GEN y , Bend Over !! YOU will pay

Sounds to me that you are down on power ,as someone has mentioned , so get the car checked by one of the tuners on here ,it could be that a simple pipe has come off or split , 900bhp is an immense amount of power and very few get that high ,and very few get to drive a car that is that high , and its more about number chasing than any practical use (bar racing) , Stroker kits come with no warranty ,and for good reason ,they are for the top end budgets and have unknown longevity , and test data , but for those who race the gains outweigh the risk and cost . Part of high power projects is the reasearch and learning , what different things do and why they are fitted , what works and whats myth , its this part that makes it a hobby and like any other hobby the longer you spend doing it ,the more you learn. You have a clutch to replace , get the car inspected at the same time and see exactly what you have and that it is all working as it should be - then read as much as you can and talk to the various tuners and get their input and an idea of cost and what can go wrong and what you have that is ok now Inspection first then decide what fits your needs

QUOTE=Tannhauser;2977838]I went to a talk by Prof Richard Wiseman, who leads a research team at Hertfordshire (?) into parapsychology, and asked him that question. His view was that the small operators - people who see one or two neighbours or friends and maybe make a little bit of cash - usually sincerely believe they have a 'gift'. On the other hand, he believes that the guys working an audience know exactly what they're doing. They may also still think that they have a gift, but they know perfectly well that they are helpig it along through 'cheating'. It took a prof and research team to come to that conclusion !! how about the mediums who believe they have powers actually have long standing issues from childhood ,now theres a thing !! Whats next for the prof and his team - which teletubby is peoples favourite and the social background or pscychology behind their choice !

piston ring speed is an important limit for any engine , at 8000 rpm you are exceeding 4500 feet per min , add a stroker and you go higher (stock is around 3900 fpm) you are getting close to F1 type speeds(5000?) ,hope you have the money , bike killer can easy turn into engine killer . Adding power to the high piston speeds now can increase rod loadings like you cant believe , the size of the power band is a major deal ,chase revs and empty wallet ....... can someone check my maths on the speeds

Ive had both Shogun and l200 , the shogun was a far better build, the L200 s are assembled in Tailand and dont seem to be upto the Shogun build quality , that said it was good ,and had the 2.8 (import ) engine which I think is better than the 2.5 , If I had to choose... then the shogun every time ... I covered 300000 miles without problems (3.5 v6)
