  1. Woooooww, first car I've seen prettier than an Aston!! Ok so I sell the house, wife and kids and get a loan for the rest!!!! :-)
  2. When we went down to Le Mans a couple of years back, come out of a little French Village dead straight road and 4 F40's roared pasted us one after another!!!!! That was a proper boner moment... My ears were bleedin the whole weekend Never seen one on the road in the UK though.
  3. Great stuff, much appreciated. I'll login later when I get home.
  4. Has your RZ gone now? I'm well up for it otherwise PS3 Username: optim8
  5. Damm, missed this one!!!! Is this still a weekly thing? Now I've bought bought a Supra it'll be nice to use it :-)
  6. My old local TVR club used to meet each month at pre selected location, do a bit of driving and then finish at a pub somewhere for lunch. Anyone fancy trying this one weekend, perhaps on a Sunday as the roads are generally a little quieter? I'm in Bristol by the way.
  7. Evening, those that have HSD's fitted, did your set come with green nurled bits that go over the dampening adjusters? I don't have any but the pictures on DW show them! Just wondered if the pics show old versions or something. Cheers.
  8. Cheers Scott, only done a few miles on setting 3 and up and down the road on 9 so will change to 1 and go for a 100 mile spin :-)
  9. Excellent news, I've currently got it set on 3 which feel pretty much like my JSpecs were. I also tried setting it to 9 which was certainly very different and starting to get a bit bone shakey!! Gunna have more of a play at the weekend I hope.
  10. Just got my car back from having HSD's fitted. Bought them back in October on the DW Group Buy Offer. Absolutely transform the car, feels so much more planted than with Stock. I had the ride height set the same as I had (JSpec), I did think about dropping it a bit, but figured I can do that later if I fancy it. Been playing around the with the Dampening Adjustment a bit and it amazes me how dramatically the ride can be changed as you adjust, I'm going to have a lot of fun this summer me thinks!!!! I used a family firm in Thornbury called Miles Tyres. I found them last year through one of the other forums and I honestly can say their service has been one of the best I've ever come across. They were super friendly and everything they stripped, was then cleaned and greased before being put back on the car, and when I picked the car up they went through everything that had been done before getting me to go out on a test drive to ensure I was 100% happy. Only after this would they take my money and even then the price was a pleasant surprise considering they'd fitted the HSD's, rebalanced my wheels, fixed a puncture and fully set the whole car up. As you can tell I'm happy!!
  11. Did mine last summer and then went on to do 1200 miles and 2 trackdays. Still look as good as the day I did them! That was High Temp paint as well :-) http://www.testpilot.co.uk/supra/optim8disc1.jpg
  12. How big is the Show? I can't even find the raceway on Google Maps and that's with the link from AutoSpeed? Only about and hour from me so might be able to come along.
  13. Cheers for the Linky. Not sure if my peni...cillin will fit in there, but hey so many uses to these great cars :-)
  14. While we're on the subject, any suggestions where I can get a replacement lighter (the bit that pops out!!). I don't smoke but just would look nice to have something in there rather than a hole in my dash. Course if you can get a blanking cap, even better!!!
  15. Yeah, I'll be down in Bournemouth tomorrow, but with the family so no Supra :-( Have fun and enjoy the car, watch the backend in this weather as well!!!!
  16. Here's an example script from W3C Schools. Does what you want basically, just need to change the input fields. <?php if (isset($_REQUEST['email'])) //if "email" is filled out, send email { //send email $email = $_REQUEST['email'] ; $subject = $_REQUEST['subject'] ; $message = $_REQUEST['message'] ; mail( "[email protected]", "Subject: $subject", $message, "From: $email" ); echo "Thank you for using our mail form"; } else //if "email" is not filled out, display the form { echo " Email: Subject: Message: "; } ?>
  17. Evening. The message won't display as you written it inside the <?php tag. If you want it to display a message wrap it in an echo statement, e.g. echo("my message"); Also your querying the 'post' array when you submitted the form as a 'get'. Try method="post" rather than method="get". Cheers.
  18. Would be good to meet up, last meet was September and there was only 5 of us then!!!
  19. I jumped on the HSD group buy, definetly a bargain at £560, mind you I'm still waiting for them to turn up, out of stock until January at some point, but I hope they come in soon!!!! I do notice Driftworks are doing them for £684 at the moment so getting on for £100 saving.
  20. Cheers for the responses. Figure I'll at least start her up, if nothing else makes a nice noise in the garage!! Not sure if anyone else gets this but I also get a lot of condensation in the engine bay etc this weather. Not a problem in it's self but does tarnish the alloy parts with a white scale (I'm guessing!!) when it drys. Any tips on this one? Maybe I'm being a bit anal here!!
  21. Just a question to you guys who's supra is not your daily drive. Haven't started the car for 3 weeks now with all the crap weather. So is it better the leave the car and start it when I can next take it out, or start it up and let it run up to temp in the garage? Trying to work out what's worse for it!!
  22. Yeh, I reckon watch this space, in a few years time we'll be dragging this post back up with a 'and now they're all doing it....' The guy at work had the tracker fitted completed free, 'all part of the service sir...'
  23. I agree, I bet you'll have your email with the fine attached before you reach the end of the road!!!!!!! That's a scarey thought. Apparently the insurance company contact you when you near your mileage limit offering you a price to extend your restricted mileage. I agree I can see the benefits for young drivers and penalizing those with a death wish and I sure that's how they market the product, but I can see a point coming where they will double your premium if you choose not to have a tracker fitted.
  24. They came and fitted it to his car today, it's hidden behind the dash. Yes it records speeds and distances, but also has the GPS so knows the location of the car at any point, so assume if your doing 40 in a 30 it knows about it!!!
