  1. Yeah 1988 n/a sold now as the thing couldn't go 200kms without breaking down
  2. My NA cam covers already have breathers on the back can you not just use those?
  3. does it count if all the cars belong to me?
  4. if the engine is siezed i don't know if you can get the converter off as you have to rotate it to get to the bolts from the inspection plate
  5. OMG SRD is making invisible 1000 bhp engines now so you never have to declare mods to insurance and mot! I want one
  6. Here is a video from mine on my drive to work today http://s300.photobucket.com/user/gman-r33/media/AMBA0084_zps20ddb137.mp4.html It looks choppy from photobucket for me but is quite smooth actually when not streaming, Could just be my connection!
  7. I have this, it's quite reasonable and does a good job You may need to use google chrome to translate unless "Sie spechen Deutch" like me but the highlights are Full HD 1290X1080 H.264 codec G sensor GPS Google maps tracking 4 gigs an hour for video , I'll post a vid in a few.
  8. It will have to be higher, theres no way that would clear speedbumps driveways etc. Also you are right about the wheels, they look like 20's on the concept but will be 18 -19s in production
  9. Former R33 gtst owner and I can assure you that an NA supra will use more fuel than your R33 if both are driven reasonably. The main difference is that when driven hard the consumption on the Supra barely increases, I could watch the gauge dropping on the Skyline. The supra is a far more reliable vehicle though
  10. Been staring at this for the last two days and guess what? The front has grown on me, showed it to the Ms and you know what she said?, "as long as we don't have to sell sell both MKIVs" If this is around 60k I'll be ordering a US Spec when they are released!
  11. The side view is absolutely stunning!
  12. You forget inflation my friend, the TT Supra was about $50k in the US in 1993 Ushing the official US inflation calculator http://www.bls.gov/data/inflation_calculator.htm that equates to $80,646 in todays money. The truth of the matter is people didn't want to pay 80k for a toyota when they could have a Merc Or Bimmer for less, regardless of the fact that in 1993 the Supra could smash on cars costing twice as much. If Toyota prices this one at 80k, 20 years from now there will be a bunch of guys on a forum wondering why Toyota hasn't relased a MKVI yet and why they killed it after a few years. Fun Fact in 1995 an na Supra costed $37,600 had 220 bhp and weighed 3215 lbs a 1995 BMW M3 $37,950 had 240 BHP and weighed 3175 lbs performance and price were so close as to be a dead heat. Guess which one sold a hell of alot more due to band name alone? Resource for comparing cars MSN autos 1995 comparo
  13. If the price and performance are on par with the new Vette then it will be a huge success for toyota and my next car(A few years from now when someone has kinly taken the big initial hit of deprciation for me). If it ends up being 80k+ then I will just get the C7 and it will problably die due to costing too much for a Toyota, like the MKIV really, amazing car when it was released but too expensive for the average enthusiast and too 'Toyota' for the people with the money to afford one.
  14. For all those that hate the Front don't worry, there is no way that nose will pass pedestrian safety standards so just like the ft86 concept the nose WILL be different in production
  15. Definately the New supra look at the background in this pic
  16. That looks awesome. When will Jamie p be taking delivery?
  17. I'm sure that we can kiss a the idea of a new Toyota I6 engine goodbye. Like the GTR it will go V6 or V8 hence the short hood. I, like all of you, would love to see a real successor to the JZ engine in 3.5 to 4 liters but it's not going to happen. If they were to round some of the edges and cover the top part of that grill then i could get behind it as a Supra
  18. 450 bhp NA 5 liter V8 imagine what it could get with 2 smallish turbos strapped to it Aritcle is Here I have to admit I like it and it would make sense for toyota to share the platform to save costs on bringing back a certain iconic 2 door front engine rear wheel drive car we all love. I really like it apart from the lexus front end but the could change that if it was a toyota right?
  19. Hey fly I've done this too, you need to point the rotor directly @ #1 lead with the engine at TDC (all marks lined up like you said) and you will need a timing gun. after that you Bridge e1 and te1 on that little box by your intake plenum with a wire or somthing and rotate your dizzy until you are firing at the 10deg BTDC. Note I had a guy belive that he had trashed his engine becuase it was running like a dog and eating fuel like mad, i checked the timing and he had set it to the TDC mark! Yes the 2jz will actually run with timing 10 degrees out! AS long as part of the rotor head is at the number one cylinder mark you should have enough adjustment in the dizzy to get it right.
  20. don't you have to drop the front subframe to change the sump? Seems a bit much to do on a road on jackstands. The police in Germany would fine you heavily if you tried it on a public road here. I'm assuming UK is a bit more Forgiving about it?
  21. You should talk to Chris at speedmaster becuase he might have the paperwork for lot of your mods but with that level of modification you can expect 2 to 3 k easy. Also once TUV sees all your mods they will go out of thier way to find other things wrong with the car, you can expect them to find at least 200-500 Euro worth of BS faults like tie rods and bushings. They do this to ALL modified cars! Lastly you may want to go to a good tuner and get an emmisions map. With a Supra the best you can get is Euro 2 wich is 220 euro a year tax but you need at least one cat. If you can't pass emmisions you can forget about it. Pwings what mods did you still have on the car when you got registered
  22. German Headlights 535 euro Stock Front Bumper (Ich hatte keine papiere fur die do-luck)435 euro and I think that may have been the last new Supra front bumper in europe, it was in a warehouse in Norway. The einzelahbahme and TUV was done by http://www.rhd-speedmaster.com in Heidelberg for 1500 euro. I needed some work done and new rear tires for TUV which was 600 euro. If your supra is totally stock and the only thing you need are the headights so it would be around 2000 euro. I spent close to 4000 becuase of the little things that were wrong with the car.
