  1. Looking good, you wont catch Dads ever being that clean! I guess you will be waiting till next weekend before the interior pictures to be taken:D
  2. Hi Dan, If pjavon does not take the wastegate I have a mate who would like this for his evo, not worried about the fittings side of things as I have some tial stuff I can use.
  3. Hey guys, I'm looking for a stock side mount for my mums Supra, must be in good condition- bent fins I can deal with but nothing that’s badly corroded (like her's where the fins brush onto the floor!) If anyone has one in a shed somewhere and can send me some pictures then let me know how much you want for it! Cheers, Pete:)
  4. Sorry Stuart- all sorted now so go ahead! I really should sign up to the forum properly!
  5. The guy who owned it (or used to) is called Dan and he is a forum member here, I'm not sure if he still looks on here though after everyone shot him down when he said he was going to build the most powerfull N/A in the uk- guess he's proved everyone wrong hahahaha! He put the car up for sale on the GTO boards as well claiming the same B/S! Pete
  6. Happy birthday Dad!! I wont say how old you are This is so much easier then buying & sending cards
  7. I also thought that but then any race meetings arent held from 7pm till gone 11pm. According to Brands they didnt get a small amount of complaints either, over 20.
  8. Hi everyone, As the title states, there will be no Jap meet at Brands Hatch anymore.[sAD][/sAD] Dan had spoke with Brands the day after the meet and everything was cool- everyone had a good night, people where well behaved in the venue and it was a success but since then they (Brands) have received complaints about the way in which cars arrived & left the venue and how people were driving on the local roads, so they are not prepared to let us use the venue anymore. So basically, thanks to a few people not thinking, there is no more meet at brands, no more chances of cheap track time and no where for people to meet up that is a ‘legal’ meet (which is something a lot of people liked about the brands meet) Personally both Dan & myself are pretty hacked of about it all- Dan didn’t spend all that time talking to brands and I didn’t spend hours on all the different forums letting people know about the meet only for a select few to f**k it up for us and everyone who enjoyed the meet. On the flip side we can understand that people would not be able to resist driving spiritedly to and from the venue but that doesn’t make it any better. We are currently trying to find an alternative venue but tbh its pretty tough going- the only place that comes close want a lot more money so it’s a case of looking around more- if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to get in touch. Pete
  9. JB- The night is going to be held on the second thursday of every month:) Thanks to everyone who came down, when I finally got a chance to talk to a few people they all said what a great meet it had been and looking across all the other forums everyone else felt the same, which is great. Now all we need to do is figure out where to park people next month, as we almost run out of space last night![sHOCK][/sHOCK] Cheers guys, Pete
  10. No, i'll be down by the kentagon showing people where to park so i'm sure we can find space for you to park with the others. Pete
  11. You need to read about 7 posts above mate! If Dan is the one behind the meet maybe I should stop posting on 15+ forums about the meet! Pete
  12. Only a few days to go now![COOL][/COOL] Seeing as we don't know how things will work at the meet in relation to getting all the clubs parked up together every meet, as everyone will be arriving at different times, each month we are going to let a chosen club park up in front of the kentagon and bring any club banners or flags they have to get eveyones attention. This month we decided it will be you lot! So if JB or anyone has any club stuff you want to bring down thats cool, you dont have to but the option is there. Either way, this month you guys will be parked closest to the warm/Tea & coffee/toilets![GRIN][/GRIN] Pete P.S Dad- Rob said he will call you today but you know what he's like:search:
  13. Hi everyone! Following the Huge success/failure of the first meet we thought we would have another crack at it and this time actually let people into Brands! I'm not going to say anything about the weather but I will say it will take snow worse then last time to stop us this month! For those who didn’t see the thread for the first meet here is all the info you need; JAPT has been given the go ahead off the back of PREPT- a German night that has been taking place every month for some time now, with 150+ cars turning up. There is a small fee of £2 per car for entry to the meet but that’s a small price to pay for such a good venue, please try to bring change as we wont have a load on the gate. Entry is from 7PM onwards till late. Food will be available at the Kentagon (for those of you who don’t know that’s the Brand hatch bar/cafe!) along with soft, hot & alcoholic drinks. Usually a full menu is available but as this is the ‘first’ meet the menu will be limited. I’m sure I don’t need to say it but please drink responsibly if you’re driving! Rules of the meet: 1. JAPANESE CARS ONLY! We will let Korean cars sneak in though! Sorry but if you turn up with your mate in his ‘e.g. Golf’ he will have to park in the hotel car park next to the brands hatch main entrance & walk through. The gate & surrounding area will have additional security & JAPT marshals, there will be no exceptions, Non Jap cars will be turned away. 2. STICK TO THE 10MPH SPEED LIMIT once on site. If you race away from the gate whilst entering you'll simply be asked to turn around and leave by security who will have been contacted via radio. You are also on CCTV once on site! Same goes for anyone seen driving like complete idiots in any areas allocated to us or outside the venue. We want this to be a respectable meet and police can be called if necessary. 3. NO PETS. Shame I know but after all this isn't Crufts! 4. NO LITTERING. Please use one of the many bins provided. 5. NO DRUGS. I know some of you out there like a good ol' smoke but please, have it before or after the event not during and if you’re driving you shouldn’t be doing it anyway! 6. STEREO'S. Please keep your music to a reasonable level so YOU can hear it not everyone else. Brands Hatch is situated on the A20 near West Kingsdown. Just 3 miles from junction 3 (Swanley) of the M25 Brands Hatch Circuit Fawkham Longfield Kent http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/brands-hatch/find-us.asp Hopefully we will see some of you lot down there, this time without the snow! Pete[GRIN][/GRIN]
  14. Ive been following this thread for a while now- what a great project, wish I had the space to do stuff like this! Anyway, I have a new laptop with photoshop on it so this thread made me look at how to use it! [/OOPS] Heres my effort..... Not much different to the others that have been put up (or better but I dont have a mouse![OOPS] /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_oops.gif ) just a slightly different twist! I think having the grey strip the same colour as the wheels would look good. Thought I'd try and be helpful as I will need ryans services at some point![GRIN][/GRIN] Pete
  15. Here are some pics that one of the guys from the 350Z forum took of the bluewater part of the meet; http://s565.photobucket.com/albums/ss95/maz350/?start=20 We spoke to the people at Brands today and everything is cool and still on for the next one on the 12th March- I'll post the details up again in a few weeks to remind everyone;)
  16. What can I say guys- it was a huge success and a huge failure at the same time! All visitors to the meet will have spoken to either me or Dan at the gate and all I can say is that we are sorry and this isn’t the start to the meet we were hoping for. A big BIG thank you to everyone who went to the trouble to come despite the weather and for everyone being cool about the decision, despite some people having a long trip to get there and home again. Even with the weather easily over 100 cars turned up which is a great sign for the future. Due to the weather conditions Brands took the decision to pull the event ten minutes before people started to arrive and at the time that seemed like a bad choice but come 9pm I began to think it was probably the right decision as the snow was awful, if I could spin the wheels of a crappy old polo doing 30mph in third I'm sure some of the cars turning up would have found it even more difficult! We are going to be talking with brands tomorrow and hopefully everything is still go for next month providing the weather is ok! (Security got a bit funny with us about people parking outside, which is why we ended up sending people in the bluewater direction- glad that plan worked well for people). Next time if there is any sign of really bad weather I will put up a number so you can get through to either me or Dan to make sure everything is go. I’m off to warm up and cry about the failure of this meet, I’ll post back about the next meet soon (next meet should be the same time next month). Thanks & sorry again to those who came, the next one will be spot on so dont give up on us!! All the best, Pete
  17. Just a few hours to go and the bad weather seems to be holding off!(now ive said that watch the rain come!) If everyone could try to bring the 2quid in change (not 1+2p's!) that will be a great help as there wont be alot of change on the gate and you know some joker will try and roll up with a £20 in his hand! Other then that everything is set and looking across the forums it seems like there is going to be a great turn out for the first meet! Look forward to seeing you all down there, I'll be the one in a hi-vis and wearing glasses so come and say hi:) Pete
  18. Come in the RAV4, you'll have the only one down there! Its just a meet this month with nothing on track. A bit later on tonight I should be able to post a rough site map of where everyone will be parked up based on the how many people have said they are comming across all forums, I will still be showing people where to go once on site but it makes it that little bit easier for people arriving late to find their own club.
  19. Well Ralph and me will be getting there at about half six so we can pick up the radios and get sorted- I don’t think we can let any cars for the meet on site until 7pm. If at all possible could everyone try and come down in a bit of a convoy as once on site I will be showing people where to park and a convoy of cars would mean I can get all the Supra's, Evo's etc all parked together. I will be leaving gaps so other cars can park up with their respective models later in the evening but I want to avoid having huge gaps between the different makes. I’m really looking forward to this meet, thanks to the great response it’s had on this and other forums it’s looking to be a good turn out and if it all takes off come summer we will have a mini JAE on our doorstep! Pete:)
  20. Yeah if you could tell a few people that would be great, thanks:) We have posted on a few forums such as; skyline owners, 200sxoc, MLR, GTOuk, swift forums, pistonheads and im slowley getting around to others- I havent posted on the subaru forums yet because I'm not sure we could cope with brands being over run by hundreds of blue cars with gold wheels/the same graffics!(did they come like that stock?![GRIN][/GRIN]) But i guess i will be asking them too![OOPS][/OOPS]
  21. Thanks for the support guys, we are really hoping this will take off:) I am always seeing Supra's around the Bexleyheath & Dartford areas so I was hoping you guys would be interested. (most of the time its trig I see, outside or around Zerobar in Bexleyheath or around crayford!) Might be able to get my mum to take her uk spec out of the garage for the meet and im waiting for dad to notice this too.....
  22. Hi everyone, sorry for such a long post but there is a lot to be said[OOPS][/OOPS] Ive just seen the thread put up by supraturbochris about a jap meet at Brands, well, Finally everything has been sorted for one! JAPT has been given the go ahead off the back of PREPT- a German night that has been taking place every month for some time now, with 150+ cars turning up. This is the first meet to determine whether it’s going to be successful or not, it will be held on Thursday 12th February 2009 7.00pm till late and if successful every 2nd Thursday of the month. Track evenings will become available on the summer nights of the meet along with BBQ’s and we can also open the go kart track and see who’s really the fastest of the Jap car owners! As mentioned before there is a small fee of £2 per car for Entry to the meet but that’s a small price to pay for such a good venue. Food will be available at the Kentagon (for those of you who don’t know that’s the Brand hatch bar/cafe!) along with soft, hot & alcoholic drinks.
