Been told I cant get the exact bulbs I need from MR T? whos that?
  3. im really confused as to what to do now, can make the 9006 fit and things but the bulb is now too wide? what do i do now? what do i do if my headlights are UK but the wiring is jap?
  4. ill file down the 9006's and make em fit
  5. can see cahnging a bulb is going to take me hours of fun
  6. 2nd qquestion whos mr t? im still confused as my 9005's (wud u believe) actually have the wide bottom same as the 9006's argh!!
  7. sorry to laugh but im laughing my head off here reading your post on your other thread, feels very familiar to me at the moment mate
  8. i did think of that but just didnt get why they wouldnt fit when the stock one does and the stock ones bottom bit is twice as long :S should fitr easily
  9. I think my head is about to explode!!! [sHOCK][/sHOCK] Right I own a 1996 Supra Jap Import, now im wanting to upgrade the headlight bulbs (didnt expect it to be to hard), so i went and ordered some, they came and i tried to install them, all went in fine apart from the wire harness, turns out when i looked inside it had 2 tracks inside same as the harness and it jap cars you need the 9006's because they have the 1 track line so the harness fits into it perfect. so i asked him to send me the 9006's, here they are now, tried to install them and they just wont F@~:'' fit in the bulb holder, the harness connects etc but the 3 plastic bits on the outside of the bulb dont match up properly to the ones inside the supra to get the bulb into place. so im left with 2 9005's that the harness wont plug into and 2 9006's that the harness fits into but wont fit into the bulb holder of the car ARGH!!! what is this all about? the stock ones went back in within 5 seconds but the 9006's just wont go in, the worst part is i cant see why they wont go in because the stock one has the same 3 plastic bits to pop an twist in the bulb but the 9005's bottom plastic one (of the 3) is slightly to the left while the 9006's bottom plastic bit is slightly to the right but the stock one is just one long big plastic bit so i cant understand why the hell the 9006's wont go in??? its like i need the 9005 fittings with a 9006 track to fit the harness. any ideas cos im blowing up here
  10. Cheers mate, got sizes for front HID but didnt realise jap spec need the extra lug filing down
  11. Stupid question i been asked the sidelight bulb size of my supra jap import 1996????? i dunno, anyone?
  12. thats what i thought the brakes surely wud have come up on the MOT but didnt ill take it too the garage before warranty runs out, then ill be crying
  13. Whenever I put the Supe into reverse if i put full lock on it seems that the brakes or something on the rear is knocking as the wheels go round. plus for the first 2-3mins of my drive the brakes are a bit rubbish and take forever to work proper, feels like im pressing them hard and its struggling to stop faster than it does 5 mins later?? any ideas guys? its just got through MOT so cant see the brakes being problem
  14. omg I have got my new Supra this nice little SIGMA alarm and it is so annoying, the immobiliser I have to keep getting in and out of the car for it to start. 9/10 times i get in and ive not got in the car in time (about 5 seconds) and i turn the key and nothing its just immobilised, so i turn the key to the on position, press in the button so the red light comes on, turn the key and nothing. tried about 6 times this morning and had to get in and out the car for it to work? its good if some1 wants to nick my car but if i cant get it going either that is some mad protection. HOW DO YOU DISABLE THE IMMOBILISER??? i rang garage they just said 'it might be cold weather' wasnt even cold this morning.

  22. and how do i get the bulbs out? do they twist out? i no i gotta remove the wires from the back of the bulb socket first do you just unclip them? not proper tried yet as stupid work means its dark whenever im off
  23. I cant belive I'm posting this into a technical forum and am just awaiting so many sarcastic comments to my first ever post here on the Supra Club (be gental) here goes: I want to replace my headlight bulbs with some new HID ones I got from Ebay and they listed that they are a direct replacement for my stock ones. How do i get them out of my 1996 Supra? It seems that there is no room to the left one (as the bar holding the battery is in the way) and the right one ive twisted and pulled but dont want to break anything. feel an idiot had 4 cars and every car ive been good at doing this on it myself but this one I love and just darnt break anything lol. so how do you get them out to replace?
