Sorry to hear about this mate I hope things pick up for you, a chap round here jacked in his job recently, set himself up with van and all the gear, and is coining it in, so maybe doing the home type jobs is where its at now Try business premises, offices etc we have two guys who turn up every friday here at the office, an email goes round and they are snowed under, as well as cleaning all our pool cars Target the businesses perhaps at their sites

Why not just apply to be a trader or don't, its that simple Trader rules were put in place for a reason and for the most part it seems to work quite well, don't screw with the system

I've had 2 experiences of Pikeys No 1. I used to keep Go-Kart in a lock up garage that was at the end of a field at the local Scouts HQ, pikeys moved on to the field on saturday, by monday they'd gone, and so had my go-kart 2. They moved o nto a field in Aylesbury by the lakes, lovely place, which was totally ruined by quad bikes, gas canisters, little grubby sh*ts vandalising the bridge etc etc the amount of crap they left was amazing, in the 3 weeks they were there, there were two break ins at the nursery nearby, the bandstand was wrecked, and there was about 5 burglaries in local homes. I f*kin hate pikeys with a passion, stupid good for nothing f*ck wits that make no contribution to society

Its likely that the taxi company uses an agent to supply the casrs, the cars come insured etc and are paid for on a monthly basis. Hence why they don't appear to own the car The agent in question probably pays through the nose for the taxi insurance so therefore wants to sort it out privately Personally I wouldn't bother and I'd let the insurance process run its course

Might be a good idea to report it to the poice now then and get witness statements ready, and keep chasing YOUR insurance company otherwise before you know it, Mr Taxi driver will have left the firm and disappeared, and the vehicle in question will have been sold on don't leave it too long, its not unheard of

Agreed, I think there comes a point when you need to realistically think bigger than the car, in 5 years time you could be sitting in a rented property with a nice car,or be in a property that you own, with a load of equity and a ncie car etc. I bought a flat when I was 18, sold it and bought another one year later, then sold that after two years. I pissed a lot of the money up the wall pretty much apart from a share in a house in France, and now I'm back on the ladder developing a property to sell on. The car might go fairly soon to help pay for the work Notice the smiley there not a frown, its hard to let go off, but you can always buy another one. A house is a bit harder !

Actually what I have suggested sounds like a dream mortgage, I wonder if its even possible to reduce your payments, must be, anyway........ My final take on it is to buy a cheaper place

agreed, its never gonna crash like the 80's Personally I wouldn't bother renting with friends, you'll want your own space and may as well get on the ladder asap. Make it cheaper by getting your friends to pay rent, and get a flexible mortgage so you can reduce your payments if they ever move out etc

oh well, if you haven't shopped around I would reccomend it, speaking from experience its amazing how much mortgage places will lend you or buy some where cheaper !

why not buy your own place, and let them pay part of your mortgage by way of rent Well worth it if you can
