Have been driving almost all day long (gently), leak seems to be getting worse, I got 2 small poodles about 1 feet behind front wheel axis 5 minutes after having parked the car...... still I have no signs of overheating (so far) and the level seems acceptable....
-
Yeah I thought it was high time I raised the flag of my country and measure levels the french way haha.... I'll have a closer look with the engine running and drop a line when I know more
-
level in the rad seemed ok, couldn't check the expansion because I was lacking light, gonna take the car out and have a look..... I'd say I lost about half a wine-glass.... more or less....... didn't notice any over-heating problem yet

Hi all This might be an easy question but I'm not a mechanic so I'd still need your help and advises. Yesterday when parking my car I noticed a leak of pink-yellow-ish slightly oily liquid.... it is clean and doesn't hardly smell anything..... Power-steering oil maybe ? Be it this or something else, is it safe at last to drive to the garage and is it reasonable to leave it so for a couple of days ? I was supposed to go on holiday tomorrow (not by car ) and it's gonna be very difficult for me to find time to go to mr T..... still I'd need to drive a couple of miles today, what would you all say ? ----------------> I eventually took my morning off to have a closer look, the liquid seems to be engine coolant :/

Autoglass and carglass seem to be the same company, here in France we have carglass..... but they would not just remove the glass and re-fit it because they have a lifetime warranty and only use new parts. Thus I'll have my flawless windscreen removed and replaced by a brand new one + new finishing strip only because it must have been fitted too low after a re-spray......
-
You're right Ewen, this is what i've been told by the carglass guys, the windsscreen seems to be sitting a little bit too low, preventing the finishing strip from fitting correctly..... Now I have no idea wheather there is a means to re-fit it without having to take the whole windscreen off because it might get broken in the process ang getting one here in France sure will be rather complicated I fear :/

As far as I have witnessed there is no leak, But I didn't (want to) drive the supe under havy rain since the joint is no more...... here are some pictures, I hope they are helpfull...... I'l make a picture of the joint alone asap.....
-
Hi all Recently I got some problems with the plastic joint around the windshield, it was getting out of its place in the upper middle, above the interior rear view mirror. I went to the local carclass to have it fixed and they told me they could not do anything relyable because there was either a conception fault of the windshield had been badly replaced and was a little bit too low.... Yesterday night on a long highway trip the joint (which I had been told by the carglass guys was actually more a cosmetic thing as it doesn't seem to be involved in waterproofness) got half-torn by the wind, in the middle of the roof, and as it was damaging the paintwork on the roof I had to remove it completely. Now the question is, what do I have to do to get things back on track : - have my "joint" stuck again, properly - get a new joint - have the windshield replaced (in which case I'll need to know if rhd and lhd supras have the same windshield because I'm in france and local Mr T only has lhd parts, and they said lexus, at least, had different lhd and rhd windshields but they couldn't tell me for the supe) - other solution I hope I made it clear, I'll try to attach some pics soon if need be.

Hi all. I'm need to replace the front brakes on my uk tt (pads + discs). Wandering about some webstores I found that the prices were often half cheaper than at my local Mister T but the shipping for those heavy discs just eats the difference away (200-250$ shipping cost). Now there's https://www.horsepowerfreaks.com from where I get the cheapest quote as shipping to france for the whole pack is only 12.49$ (which gives 178£ shipped whereas mister T sells it for 288£). Does someone know if they are trustable or maybe has other hints ?

I made a full tank yesterday night, drove 92miles today (almost only town), fuel gauge is exactly in the middle, and the 2nd half usually drops faster than the first one.....
-
Imi, I wish they were off but I fear they are not..... after having monitored my tanks and mileage for 4 months, the figures I gave are the ones I actually get, therefore my doubts about something going wrong..... I make a full tank, I drive 220-230 miles, fuel gauge lightens up, 240-245miles I'm at the pump and throw 19gallons in..... there's not that much to calculate
-
Thanks Hoff, now all I have to do is find what it looks like, where it's located and how to remove it... sould I feel shameful for not knowing already ?
-
Whereas I got around 20mpg once.... I wonder what these figures would be if I drove like an asshole
-
I'm way off anyway then... gotta take care of that O2 sensor thing
-
Hoff, thanks I'll try to find out how to clean and maybe eventuelly change the O2 sesnor, I guess there must be some answers around the forum... Haha Guigsy, is using the cruise control such a bad idea ? It's an UK spec and I almost always tank at night, filled to the brim i can put 19.02gallons in it and tha maths have been done accordingly SteveR, very encouraging thank you Matt H & Guigsy, oops, I meant 80 mph not 180... I live in France not Germany

Hi there..... I know this question has been asked many times but I was wondering..... I've been driving my auto TT as a daily car for about 4months now, recording mileages and fuel tanks, and the figures I get seem somewhat different from what i have read or heard here end there..... Mainly highway : i can sometimes run about 350miles on a full tank (18.4mpg) at the VERY most 380miles (19.9mpg, my absolute best ever, stabilized @ 80mph with cruise controll) but it's more usually 325-350.... (still driving quietly) Town dying....I mean... driving : depending on the traffic, it's more like 250 miles for a full tank (13mpg), the worst having been i80miles (9.4mpg!!! more, if not only traffic jams), still driving gently. Are this figures normal or is there something i should take care of ? PS : my aircon is broken at the moment so I'm even not using it
